He was found with his possessions and his ‘clothes ‘ ! What does that mean ? I think it means that he obviously wasn’t wearing them and that begs the question; why would he have taken them off ? Or who removed his clothes? Presumably if he had stripped and thrown down the mountain his body will be scraped, scratched etc. If he had accidentally slipped or fallen to where he was found and was conscious then why remove his clothing? This mystery is far from being solved
After 4 weeks in a baron ravine decomposing with animals feeding on your remains do you not think its possible that animals had ripped the clothes from the body to get to the flesh? They didn't say his clothes were folded neatly at the side of him... they said the clothes were next to the body.... Do you think animals just eat clothes now? I've seen a crocodile being thrown a full chicken with one small tablet inside for medication.... the crocodile tossed the chicken around his mouth for ages... swallowed the chicken and spat out the small tablet.... That small tablet was forced under the chicken skin and you'd bet your life on it that there's no way a crocodile could notice it was there whilst feeding..... That crocodile tossed the whole chicken around its mouth until it negotiated the tablet from the chicken and then swallowed the chicken whole and spat the tablet out... The tablet was less than half the size of a paracetamol.... Less than half the size of a 5p coin.... Animals have far better sense of taste and smell than humans... That crocodile didn't bite the tablet and then decide... he smelt it within the meat, knew it was there and wouldn't swallow the meat until the tablet was gone.... So what I'm saying is that animals would rip the clothing all around the body to get to the meat.. It's not rocket science.... Do you buy a microwave meal and then eat the cardboard sleeve, the transparent film and the plastic tray? Or just what's inside? When Jays remains were found I'd imagine there was nothing but a skeleton with shredded clothing around the body.... That explains why the clothes would have been found next to the body... They weren't gonna be on the body after 4 weeks.... Try the experiment... go into a desolate ravine and throw a lump of meat there next to an under armour t shirt and see which one the wild animals feast on

Because he looked over and saw the ocean and thought he would go cross country as a short cut. Being young and inexperienced he didnt realise the sea he could see in the distance was actually 10k away. Got himself into trouble and slipped and fell. Game over. Simple........not everything is a mystery. It just takes some common sense.
Where were his friends in all of this? He must have told Lucy and Brad why he chose to walk, it’s a question any friend would ask but apparently both of them didn’t. Doesn’t make sense any of it.
It is very sad. We can't immediately put blame on the Spanish Guardia Civil or the Police, when you think Nicola Bulley wasn't found by our Police at the the search location until a passer by found her.
They always do, it was the same when Madeline mccan went missing they blamed the Portuguese police, each country did the best they can with the resources they have, even the reporter said he felt they did a go job looking for that young lad

The fact he's come away from his friends travelled to an Air B&B 30km away. Goes to start walking back to his hotel early in the morning. Makes no sense. He's already been raving drinking taking drugs etc who in the right mind would try walking that distance? What happened in that apartment for him to want to get off?
If something terrible happened in the air b and b, wouldn't he tell his friends Brad and Lucy when he spoke to both of them after he'd left? He never said anything bad happened there, according to them. He supposedly took a snapchat photo smoking on the steps. He called Lucy and said his phone was on 1% and he was thirsty. Brad said he video called him and he was on gravel and slipping down rocks... Neither of them said that Jay said something bad happened and he had to hot foot it through the mountains. If something bad happened at the air b and b that suggests either his friends lied and they never spoke to him or they spoke to him and he did say that something bad had happened and they lied about their conversations with him. Condolences to his family and friends but there is still a lot of unanswered questions. It really feels like Brad and Lucy know more than they are saying. Also, it's understandable that people were coming up with theories when his own mum said she thought someone might have him and a Gofundme was set up with a £30 grand target.
But why are you thinking he was heading back to his hotel (as in he thought he was doing so)? He had almost two hours ahead until his bus was coming at 10 am. It wouldn't be weird for him to have a look around the area, but in his case it ended up tragically (the guy wasn't in the best state to go for a hike in such area).

Don't think things even matter if they were found or not. That is an object. We hoped for jay to be found safe. Why didn't the lady of the Airbnb even offer to take him to his hotel. As she had passed him by in her car. Why did she let him go off like that. He didn't know the area . If only he had made better choices and thought of his own welfare a bit more. So sad. And could have been prevented all this. If he had just let someone take him back to his hotel. And he shouldn't have gone to the place anyway. He should have stayed with his mates
So the lad is reported missing and a search gets underway from the off with helicopter,drones,sniffer dogs, who no doubt are trained to locate bodies find absolutely nothing. The area which is searched for 2 weeks is then declared over and the police pull back. RUclipsrs,influencers,hikers and anyone available still go out looking over this same area. Day 29 or whatever it is and what would seem a badly decomposed body turns up within close proximity to where the lads last phone ping was located. I’m not buying it sorry. I’m not saying it was this that or the other,,,a Rolex,drugs,money,etc, but one thing I can’t believe is how his badly decomposed body turned up in this area where the search was aimed at 29 days later. No im not having it. No birds circling overhead, no stench, nothing. Doesn’t add up to me.

I travelled the whole of Tenerife and stayed there for months in 2009 its not a island to mess around, especially in the mountain parts! A lot of people have gone missing there and never found! The storyline does not make sence, BUT drugs make you do silly things anything can happen

The tragedy is his injuries and his loss. That had to be so horrific for Jay. I do not want to go into rabbit holes with a few others, but I still feel that those two men at the airbnb, need to be questioned again. I hope the autopsy reveals if he had drugs in him, but not sure how long the traces of drugs stay in your body after death. Also, if any other items were found that might belong to Jay.

It might be that when he went there, the night before, he was really drunk and under the influence of drugs and alcohol.He might not have any recollection of going there from the night before, if he was really out of it. He might have woke up, gone to wait for a bus, seen it was two hours, not wanted to wait for that long and not realised that walking, it takes 11 hours. He may have just started walking without realising how far it actually was and if his phone had died, he might not have put it in on his maps as he had no battery to do so. He might have walked in the wrong direction, thinking it was the right one. It's so sad, it really is :(.

Interviewing a teenager because police and guardia civil were busy working and avoiding press. MY THEORY- COVER UP. His body was found where the area had been searched. Who goes a 11 hour walk at 9 AM?! He went to an property with 2 strangers. He was partying like- he couldn’t wait on a 2 hour bus?! He apparently fell but his injuries where compared to the fall not from the fall. And his body was found a day before the private search party came out to search for Jay.
Because he had been decomposing in Tenerife heat with animals eating him. Animals ripping and tearing at his body to get to what they want is highly probable. Add to that, that once your soft tissue around joints decompose or are eaten through, the body is basically separated from itself. Once again it's highly likely animals can then separate them further from body. Note they class it as remains and not a body. Put it this way, without dna test/fingerprint etc he would be totally unrecognisable now
I have 2 theories. He either stole from the men he stayed with and tried to get away from them. Probably heading off the main road in order to avoid them. Or he was caught red handed by these men and killed. They disposed of his body when the police called off the search which is why he wasnt found earlier. Whatever happened it's highly suspicious.

Thing is, who in their right mind is taking the risk of transporting a corpse into an active search zone ? Cadaver dogs wouldn't have missed a decaying body. Seems more of a 411 case to me. Have to wait and see what the injury report comes back with. Loads of cases where bodies found in areas that have been previously searched multiple times, and have injuries consistent with falling from height. When there's nowhere to fall from.
It don’t make sense. Why didn’t he ask those guy for a lift back or stayed at the airbnb charge his phone or ask one of those guys to phone him a taxi. I don’t believe he decided to walk back unless he was scared of those guys and he needed to hide. Why did he go with those 2 adult males they were so much older that’s very suspicious. I don’t think this was any accident at all. I believe drugs were involved and the two guys were big dealers in Tenerife, I think Jay may have been selling at the rave for them, that’s a big money maker for those guys, and I think Jay tried to rip them off, these people don’t take any messing not when profits and drugs are concerned. This was no accident. Why were those men allowed to leave Tenerife they were last to see him. I personally think the two guy got out of Tenerife as quick as possible, they picked that airbnb for a purpose, it’s out the way from civilisation a good place for them to be with large amounts of drugs, it’s their income at the end of the day. The airbnb was safe to leave larger supplies of drugs whilst they had people selling for them at that rave

Do you know what a body in Tenerife heat for a month would look like. He would have been keeping a whole ecosystem alive, it would be no problem for some animals to rip clothes from a body to get to what they want. Once the soft tissue around the joints had been eaten, his body parts would become separated and possibly dragged away from the body by scavengers. Men keep their belongings in their pockets, unless they are zipped up he would have lost whatever was on him during the fall and tumbling into a ravine. Nothing suspicious about that being how he was found. Its the 29 days to find a body near his last location with cadaver dogs that makes me question the cause of death as well as the other points you made
They found his body close to his last known location at the bottom of a ravine along with his personal effects with injuries consistent with a fall. What doesn't add it?

Only those of us who know that area know the extraordinary nature of the terrain, very, very rugged, full of ravines and precipices, with very dense vegetation. What happened to that boy was a product of absolute ignorance of the terrain and thinking that he was much closer to the beach than he actually was. He saw the sea, and in a straight line it seems that it is close, but it is an extremely misleading assessment. Once he left the road he would lose sight of the sea, and unfortunately walked into a death trap. He must have slipped and fallen off a cliff. No human or material efforts were spared in the search for him (mountain equipment, drones, specialized search dogs, drones, etc.). That the Civil Guard did not accept the collaboration of the English police is because they could not contribute anything. From the beginning they had the hypothesis that Jay Slater must have suffered an accident, the problem is that finding him in that rugged territory is the same as finding a needle in a haystack. My congratulations to the Civil Guard, and my deepest condolences to the family and friends. May he rest in peace (R.I.P).

No eran desconocidos para él. Los había conocido durante esos días que estuvo en Tenerife, en principio, a través de su amiga Lucy (se supone que ella y ellos son compañeros de trapicheos de droga). El muchacho (Jay) parece ser que aún andaba con ganas de juerga y se ve que pensó que los otros dos estaban en el mismo plan (y puede que lo estuvieran), pero tras conducir 45-60 minutos hasta Masca no es tan raro que las ganas de juerga se les pasasen y quisieran irse a dormir. Por otro lado, no entiendo eso que decís muchos de que claramente el chaval estaba huyendo de alguien... ¿Acaso no tenía dos horas por delante hasta que pasase el primer autobús del día (el de las 10:05)? No sería nada raro que un chaval del norte de Inglaterra decidiera explorar un poco ese paraje tan distinto a su tierra mientras esperaba a que se acercase la hora de su bus. El problema vino en que aún andaría medio drogado y borracho (o con resaca) y al perderse un poco se pondría nervioso, todo ello con el problema añadido de tener solamente un 1% de batería en el móvil. Ahí es donde la cagó pero bien y seguramente entró en pánico y acabó dando un mal paso por el que se despeñó.
It’s fair to say some of the online speculation about this lad’s disappearance has been exaggerated, vile in some cases.. it’s also fair to say that without public attention on social media the Spanish police would not have put the time nor the resources into finding Jay. Other people have also gone missing on Tenerife and never been found. I am wondering if they had been given the same media exposure, would some of them have been found. I don’t like the simplistic narrative from mainstream media who promote themselves as the legitimate voices for all of us when these tragedies happen.,
Unfortunately much of this tragic family’s actions on the media led to the speculations. being put forward, A televised appeal from the parents might have had things turn out very differently , cannot understand why this was not done
I thought he could have got paranoia from drugs. I had a relative who thought three men were after him in the neighborhood and were going to kill him. He was on drugs that night and in panic. When he had sobered up he wondered what we were talking about. Did he say these things? Just my thoughts.

18 degrees where? Take into account you can have 22°C avg on the island and have -22.2,°C (record low on the island) a few miles away. It has after all the highest point in Spain.

They said he told them he had nowhere to stay so they said he could stay with them🤔he did have somewhere to stay, the hotel he booked into unless he didn’t book in anywhere and hoped he could scrounge a place to sleep while he was over there, that’ll explain why he went with the strange men.. .. he probs woke in the morning, had the “fear” and decided he had to go, get back to his friends… just can’t understand why he didn’t stick to the road or why didn’t his friend Lucy tell him to stay where he was, they’d get a taxi and go get him… maybe something did happen and he had to get away quick.
One of the men was in prison for nine years for conducting a huge drug operation in the UK shipping in lots of heroine. He also owned a weed stall on the island which are all well known to sell proper drugs to behind the table. The mwts showed that he was in fear for his life and that's why he didn't wait around for the bus he wanted to not be seen and didn't want to return back to he air bnb.

Brad said he video called him and he was on gravel and slipping down rocks... Neither of them said that Jay said something bad happened and he had to hot foot it through the mountains. If something bad happened at the air b and b that suggests either his friends lied and they never spoke to him or they spoke to him and he did say that something bad had happened and they lied about their conversations with him.

But why are you thinking he was heading back to his hotel (as in he thought he was doing so)? He had almost two hours ahead until his bus was coming at 10 am. It wouldn't be weird for him to have a look around the area, but in his case it ended up tragically (the guy wasn't in the best state to go for a hike in such area).

So the lad is reported missing and a search gets underway from the off with helicopter,drones,sniffer dogs, who no doubt are trained to locate bodies find absolutely nothing. The area which is searched for 2 weeks is then declared over and the police pull back. RUclipsrs,influencers,hikers and anyone available still go out looking over this same area. Day 29 or whatever it is and what would seem a badly decomposed body turns up within close proximity to where the lads last phone ping was located. I’m not buying it sorry. I’m not saying it was this that or the other,,,a Rolex,drugs,money,etc, but one thing I can’t believe is how his badly decomposed body turned up in this area where the search was aimed at 29 days later. No im not having it. No birds circling overhead, no stench, nothing. Doesn’t add up to me.

I travelled the whole of Tenerife and stayed there for months in 2009 its not a island to mess around, especially in the mountain parts! A lot of people have gone missing there and never found! The storyline does not make sence, BUT drugs make you do silly things anything can happen

It might be that when he went there, the night before, he was really drunk and under the influence of drugs and alcohol.He might not have any recollection of going there from the night before, if he was really out of it. He might have woke up, gone to wait for a bus, seen it was two hours, not wanted to wait for that long and not realised that walking, it takes 11 hours. He may have just started walking without realising how far it actually was and if his phone had died, he might not have put it in on his maps as he had no battery to do so. He might have walked in the wrong direction, thinking it was the right one. It's so sad, it really is :(.

He apparently fell but his injuries where compared to the fall not from the fall. And his body was found a day before the private search party came out to search for Jay.
Because he had been decomposing in Tenerife heat with animals eating him. Animals ripping and tearing at his body to get to what they want is highly probable. Add to that, that once your soft tissue around joints decompose or are eaten through, the body is basically separated from itself. Once again it's highly likely animals can then separate them further from body. Note they class it as remains and not a body. Put it this way, without dna test/fingerprint etc he would be totally unrecognisable now

I have 2 theories. He either stole from the men he stayed with and tried to get away from them. Probably heading off the main road in order to avoid them. Or he was caught red handed by these men and killed. They disposed of his body when the police called off the search which is why he wasnt found earlier. Whatever happened it's highly suspicious.

This was no accident. Why were those men allowed to leave Tenerife they were last to see him. I personally think the two guy got out of Tenerife as quick as possible, they picked that airbnb for a purpose, it’s out the way from civilisation a good place for them to be with large amounts of drugs, it’s their income at the end of the day. The airbnb was safe to leave larger supplies of drugs whilst they had people selling for them at that rave

Do you know what a body in Tenerife heat for a month would look like. He would have been keeping a whole ecosystem alive, it would be no problem for some animals to rip clothes from a body to get to what they want. Once the soft tissue around the joints had been eaten, his body parts would become separated and possibly dragged away from the body by scavengers. Men keep their belongings in their pockets, unless they are zipped up he would have lost whatever was on him during the fall and tumbling into a ravine. Nothing suspicious about that being how he was found. Its the 29 days to find a body near his last location with cadaver dogs that makes me question the cause of death as well as the other points you made

Proof of the tireless and effective work carried out by the Civil Guard is that they finally found the boy's body. Only those of us who know that area know the extraordinary nature of the terrain, very, very rugged, full of ravines and precipices, with very dense vegetation. Being a volcanic island, the type of stones is sharp and very slippery. What happened to that boy was a product of absolute ignorance of the terrain and thinking that he was much closer to the beach than he actually was. He saw the sea, and in a straight line it seems that it is close, but it is an extremely misleading assessment. Once he left the road he would lose sight of the sea, and unfortunately walked into a death trap. He must have slipped and fallen off a cliff. No human or material efforts were spared in the search for him (mountain equipment, drones, specialized search dogs, drones, etc.). That the Civil Guard did not accept the collaboration of the English police is because they could not contribute anything. From the beginning they had the hypothesis that Jay Slater must have suffered an accident, the problem is that finding him in that rugged territory is the same as finding a needle in a haystack. My congratulations to the Civil Guard, and my deepest condolences to the family and friends. May he rest in peace (R.I.P).

No eran desconocidos para él. Los había conocido durante esos días que estuvo en Tenerife, en principio, a través de su amiga Lucy (se supone que ella y ellos son compañeros de trapicheos de droga). El muchacho (Jay) parece ser que aún andaba con ganas de juerga y se ve que pensó que los otros dos estaban en el mismo plan (y puede que lo estuvieran), pero tras conducir 45-60 minutos hasta Masca no es tan raro que las ganas de juerga se les pasasen y quisieran irse a dormir. Por otro lado, no entiendo eso que decís muchos de que claramente el chaval estaba huyendo de alguien... ¿Acaso no tenía dos horas por delante hasta que pasase el primer autobús del día (el de las 10:05)? No sería nada raro que un chaval del norte de Inglaterra decidiera explorar un poco ese paraje tan distinto a su tierra mientras esperaba a que se acercase la hora de su bus. El problema vino en que aún andaría medio drogado y borracho (o con resaca) y al perderse un poco se pondría nervioso, todo ello con el problema añadido de tener solamente un 1% de batería en el móvil. Ahí es donde la cagó pero bien y seguramente entró en pánico y acabó dando un mal paso por el que se despeñó.
It’s fair to say some of the online speculation about this lad’s disappearance has been exaggerated, vile in some cases.. it’s also fair to say that without public attention on social media the Spanish police would not have put the time nor the resources into finding Jay. Other people have also gone missing on Tenerife and never been found. I am wondering if they had been given the same media exposure, would some of them have been found. I don’t like the simplistic narrative from mainstream media who promote themselves as the legitimate voices for all of us when these tragedies happen.,
What happend is the case got very popular and the gangsta rhat had him got scared and they put him there that's it case closed
Unfortunately much of this tragic family’s actions on the media led to the speculations. being put forward, A televised appeal from the parents might have had things turn out very differently , cannot understand why this was not done
I thought he could have got paranoia from drugs. I had a relative who thought three men were after him in the neighborhood and were going to kill him. He was on drugs that night and in panic. When he had sobered up he wondered what we were talking about. Did he say these things?

They said he told them he had nowhere to stay so they said he could stay with them🤔he did have somewhere to stay, the hotel he booked into unless he didn’t book in anywhere and hoped he could scrounge a place to sleep while he was over there, that’ll explain why he went with the strange men.. .. he probs woke in the morning, had the “fear” and decided he had to go, get back to his friends… just can’t understand why he didn’t stick to the road or why didn’t his friend Lucy tell him to stay where he was, they’d get a taxi and go get him… maybe something did happen and he had to get away quick.
One of the men was in prison for nine years for conducting a huge drug operation in the UK shipping in lots of heroine. He also owned a weed stall on the island which are all well known to sell proper drugs to behind the table. The mwts showed that he was in fear for his life and that's why he didn't wait around for the bus he wanted to not be seen and didn't want to return back to he air bnb.
