This is kind of amusing me in more ways than one... anyone else notice how they're both swaying back and forth like flowers in the breeze..? Oh well! Good job!
like 99.999999% of flutists who are REALLY into the music, "sway" =) It's the emotion.... They play this song so beautifully, I am playing it at a wedding next week. I keep messing up on the 2nd flute part, measure 37 (depending what version you have).
i remember playing this at one of my recitals with my friend and both our parents forgot the video camera so i can't post it here, which is a shame because the nerves made us perform it really well.
I am singing this for my GCSE duet and i'm singing the mezzo part which i think is the same bit you are talking about... its the arpeggio's into the modulation that gets me...
Dôme épais le jasmin, (Dome made of jasmine, ) A la rose s'assemble, (Entwined with the rose together, ) Rive en fleurs frais matin, (Both in flower, a fresh morning, ) Nous appellent ensemble. (Call us together.) Ah! glissons en suivant (Ah! let us float along) Le courant fuyant: (On the river's current:) Dans l'on de frémissante, (On the shining waves, ) D'une main nonchalante, (Our hands reach out to) Gagnons le bord, (The flowering bank, ) Où l'oiseau chante, (Where the birds sing, ) l'oiseau, l'oiseau chante. (o the lovely birds sing.) Dôme épais, blanc jasmin, (Dome of white jasmine, ) Nous appellent ensemble! (Calling us together!)
@10musiccrazy I'm doing this for solo and ensemble. The first flute part for this piece is easier to play in my opinion than the second flute part, which I am playing.
@half4team no... she's really not. She did a find job and there is not a single time where she is "way off" at all. She is just using a little Rubato, and just a few times. The first player had a few note mistakes, and in general the ensemble communication could have used a little polishing, but it was still an amazing performance by two amazing flute players who are incredibly inspiring!
@@makaiyee9133 I mean, as long as looking at the sheet music doesn't block their air flow (due to looking down), it's alright. For wind instruments, the angle of air is pretty important, so I guess that also has to. do with the stand height.
I think is possible to write the parts by your own, It Is Easy. Be careful that at 1.24 the second part play two wrong A natural while they have to be flat, played exactly after.
kaloleon wtf? Why does that make more sense? What makes sense is to either say 1. They each fit their parts best which is why they chose them OR 2. They can both play either part just as well and who cares who chose what. I do not understand your logic because there is none. >.

i´ve also played it..it´s so beuatiful to play^^
does anyone know where i can get hold of this arrangement?
is it me or are their stands a little low???
The stand hight doesnt matter at all its just something that the audience sees and may make judgements on but doesnt affect anything at all
