Welcome to LivingPianos.com, I'm Robert Estrin. Today's question is: What is Living Pianos? In a nutshell, it's my life! And it's your life too, if you have a passion for the piano the way I do. It's actually a double entendre. There are two meanings to Living Pianos.

Thank you, Mr Estrin-- and congratulations to you on multiple levels. As you said, I, too, love the piano, its rich and storied history, its music, its very sound, its immense contribution to our culture and enjoyment and chance to express our every emotion and mood. I very much enjoy your channel and great, informative talks and beautiful playing. Thank you for making all of this available to us online, and best wishes to you always 🎹🎶✨🏆

What is living pianos well I can sum your your channel in two words- "inspiration and incouragement" I have loved pianos for over 73 years both as a classical trained pianist and a piano tuner.

So cool. We got an old American spinet last summer and it’s brought so much joy to our home. I just learned the first section of You Never Give Me Your Money by Paul McCartney. My neighbor next door hears me play daily and he was so happy that I learned it. He was singing the words at the door. Working on Linus and Lucy now. When I go to bed, I get excited to wake up and walk over to the piano and play. I love how to A flat growls in the bass for Linus and Lucy. I’ve been a guitar player for years but sitting in front of a piano makes you feel like you’re sitting behind the wheel of a sports car or something. All the best!!!

I love piano’s. They are so beautiful in sight, and in sound.
My uncle had a player piano that we had to peddle. My favorite song was Live and Let Die. I believe it was a James Bond song.

I'm sure you get lots of positive comments but, did you catch Fred Hersch's comment after his first performance on Friday at the Tree lawn, that he loved the D you provided? What a beautiful touch he has. It was a pleasure meeting you, too!
Two possible ideas for future videos? Using the sostenuto pedal (as in Sunken Cathedral) and, Using a computer and pedal to turn pages.

It was a an incredible concert and it was a pleasure to hear the Steinway concert grand in its new home after having been here at Living Pianos. It will be interesting to hear this one when it finds a new home: livingpianos.com/pianos/steinway-concert-grand/ Thanks for the video suggestions!
