  • When a Washington County Sheriff’s Deputy stopped in their drive Sunday night, the Wimberlys knew something was off.
“He said, ‘Hey you might want to have the little one go in,’” TJ Wimberly said. “The first thing I said was they shot my dog.”
“They shot him three times in the head,” Lindsey Wimberly said. “Once with a shotgun shell and twice with a .22.”

The dog died because of their owners failure to keep him contained. Dogs have been bred for hundreds of years to chase and/or kill livestock. The livestock owners warned them once and that was more than enough. Now the dog owners want their FOID card voided? How about removing this families right to own a dog for 10 or more years until they figure out what a fence or leash is. Typical illinoiers (people perpetuating a crime blaming the victim for defending themselves)

Justice? This is not a civil rights issue. This is a predatory canine attacking livestock issue. These people were warned, the law is clear, and justice has been served.
