Thank you for this excellent video. I live in a pricey area where the closest mechanic quoted me $280 to change the plugs. And he robbed me blind 3 years ago, $500 to change the coils. Fooled me once, never again.
Thank you for this video. Definitely saved me in a pinch. I needed to get my car fixed ASAP and couldn't find a mechanic over the weekend. Way faster and cheaper to do myself.
Excellent video. Your workmanship is first rate. Details like using silicone dielectric grease and NeverSeize are the mark of a great mechanic. Obviously, you would normally stop and change the valve cover gaskets if the job was not being done to show spark plug replacement.
Just changed spark plugs on a 2007. Same issue, oil in the spark plug well. I found 3 of the 4 spark plug tube seals were as hard as a rock. Car only had 36K miles.
That foam surrounding the PCV valve acts as insulation. Evidently, on this model under certain conditions, moisture in the PCV can freeze and hold the valve in the wrong position.
This video will show you how to replace the valve cover and gasket on a Hyundai accent. To replace the gaskets around the spark plug holes you need to remove the valve cover. This video should help you out. ruclips.net/video/6GKY2LdwpWc/видео.htmlsi=YZ_abROYJUACorOt

Ooof
OMG that's highway robbery on this car..Unreal. Hope we saved you some time and cash.
$500 don’t seem terrible considering some OEM coils are $70-100 each then they usually charge roughly $100 or so for labor.

Yeah it is pretty easy to do on this model.

Where is the purge valve located on my 2011 Hyundai Accent GL hatchback 2 door
Sorry just noticed this question.
Do you need to disconnect the battery?
I didn't but it is always a good habit to disconnect the battery when working in the engine bay.

Good to know.
