- GROW PORTULACA EASILY FROM SEEDS -SEEDS TO FLOWER FULL DETAILS-FAST N EASY TIPS TO GET HIGHER GERMINATION RATE
DAIZZ'S TIP-Portulaca flowers bloom all summer with vibrant shades of colors. These flowers only open in bright sunlight. When the light level is low, the flowers close up. keep your plant in full sun as they need 6-8 hours of sunlight daily.
You do not need to water often for proper portulaca care.
Mist the planting area with a fine spray of water until the top of the soil is wet. The seeds will germinate in 3 to 4 days. After seeds germinate do not water from the top but place the pot in a tray filled with water ....slowly slowly potting mix will suck up water from the tray ...this way your seedlings will not get damaged and you will get higher germination rate
NOTE-Beach sand -use sand without salt

I have been planting it for years but I didnt even know that it has seeds. Thank you for the information. I just grow them from cuttings and all of them grow healthy and beautiful. In the Philippines, we call it "alas diyes" because it mostly bloom at 10 in the morning. Alas diyes is a Spanish-derived Tagalog word for 10 o'clock. ☺
great 😊☺️
Same, I don't know it has seed. I just grow them from cutings.
Before I only have 3 tiny pots. Now I have 10 big pots and still need new again. So I just use plastic bottle

If you keep rain water in your bottle you can water them from above because rain water is not chlorinated and your plants will be safe. Love tour channel! You are a very good gardener.
I just found your channel, and it's making me so excited for summer gardening!! Thank you for this tutorial, and sharing all of your information! My grandma used to have portulaca, and I've tried to grow some from seed for my window boxes, but have been unsuccessful. I'll definitely try this method! Thank you!

Que vídeo maravilhoso!
Muchas gracias por este video, amo las portulacas!!
Well done video, as usual. I love moss rose - any very drought-tolerant flower, really - but I can't plant it in the ground at our place (outside of fenced garden) b/c the rabbits eat it. Definitely a container plant for front of our house!
Crunchy Emily ya sure😊 even the bunny loves it 🤗
Try planting moss rose in hanging basket/ pot... in ground, plant only carrots, for rabits only.
@@urbangardeningofficial very nice informaction

Hi. I love the way you explain the step by step process. It is very helpful for beginners like me. I had a question about growing Portulaca from seed. Can I plant the seeds directly in the pot or container in which I want to keep it so that i don't have to shift the saplings to a different container? Would highly appreciate your guidance.
Same question..plz guide
You can just don't use too much seeds... Use a minimum amount of seeds in one pot so don't have to shift...
u explain each and every point very clear
Thanks 😊

wow very nice video friend
Appreciate the vid! What was the taller stalk plant growing in the beds at the end. Also, what was that cool purple plant at the very end of the vid? Thanks.
The purple flower at the end of the video is known as Passion flower, we call it 'Krishna Kamal' in India. It's a vine.... Comes in blue and red color too. The flower is beautiful but it also has this unique fragrance..
Thanks bro, always great content as usual

portulaca is my fav
Nice information really so informative video he 🙏❤🌻
I love your videos. I'm quite in love with portulaca (purslane). I grow it to eat. Purslane actually has the highest
amount of Omega 3 vitamins in any plant. The plants are delicious and kind of citrusy. I am in the process of
making purslane pickles for the winter. Tasty and crispy. The recipe is on youtube.
Is it edible to human?
Very beautiful
Fantastic.
