That corkscrew camera angle is so freaking cool on this gorgeous game. The polishing of this game is peak Sonic.
I adore the voice work of unleashed so much, hearing his “go!” whenever boosting and all the other things he says makes it feel like he’s having a blast while you the player probably are too zooming through everything
I've been tellin people for YEARS that this is the hardest mission in the game, it's even laid out more difficult than the actual Arid Sands Hard mode act from its DLC! I feel so validated seeing others talk about it
god i miss the learning curve sonic used to have, unleashed being the peak of it for having hard to play but satisfying to master design
i feel like that’s FINALLY being tapped into again with frontiers (final horizons) but hopefully we get back to this standard

@PACSAX Eggman land at night ps2 or a night mission before that. I didnt play Unleashed for around 10 yrs again til the 360. Game was super fun and I was so close to beat it. But failing over and over took a toll lol
Yeah this mission is hard if you don't know that shortcut where you jump during the loop. Seriously that shortcut is so obscure especially since it's the only one like it in the game.

She deserves to be lol. In the game, Yasmin is a bossy, and egotistical little girl that got herself into this situation to begin with, all because she doesn’t like being outsmarted in her own missions and exercises.

I swear to god lmaooo I remember getting pissed asf at the very last part with the spikes you had to quickly dodge on the wall run section… It took me almost 3 hours to complete when I was like 13
Seriously whoever thought it was good idea to put even _more_ spikes for the bottom layer in the last 2d section...

I actually genuinely found this one to be the easiest of the side missions apart from apatos act 3. Idk why after like 3 attempts i had an s rank. I found the drifting one in mazuri harder before i learned to just not boost while drifting. But this was also super satisfying to watch

Boss run. I love this stage and the Pretty Committee side mission arc with Yasmine and Samia is really cute. It's just a shame that Sonic Unleashed's story progresses via the metal quotas and not Sonic's interactions with all the townspeople. Real missed opportunity.

Always liked how they angled the camera once he got fast but only when he got too far from the screen they started to turn the frames down on his animation, I think they blur his outline in someway but I'm not sure, either way I wish they would do that kind of thing in later games, frontiers came close but not exactly it.

When I first played this mission I cleared it on the first try. I was used to Unleashed's learning curve and ran with it. Another reason why Unleashed is a masterpiece. But I can also understand why people hate this mission because it can be tedious 😂

Bullshit… this isn’t ANYWHERE as hard as Eggmanland’s Hot Dog Missions
Lmao I see side missions and hotdog missions as two separate things, so that’s why I called this the most hardest side mission. The most hardest mission in the game as a whole is for sure the Eggmanland level 3 hotdog mission 😂

That wasn’t a side mission it’s another act that takes away from your life count 😅
So what makes this mission so difficult? It looks just like the normal stage.
Look up Sonic Unleashed Missing Sister on google, and if you go to GameFAQs, you’ll see tons of people claiming this level to be difficult, or see people asking for help with finishing it.
Edit: Everyone has their own opinion on why the level itself is “hard” but for me back when I was a noob, I specifically thought it was hard because I didn’t know all the shortcuts, which caused you to waste more time and end up losing. Keep in mind you have to clear this level in under 2 minutes, so if you’re not a pro and on top of that doesn’t know all the shortcuts, you’re pretty much f🤬cked
If you know how to finish the regular level in 2’’50 this mission becomes quite easy (for those who know 😉)

The Eggmanland hotdog mission is the hardest hotdog mission for sure lmao. I count hotdog missions, and side missions as two separate things. The side missions in my head are the missions the npcs in every village/capital give you, for example the mission in Chun-Nan when you had to take the village elders medicine to try and get rid of the werehog powers.
