Love your playing style! Looking forward to more content with this keyboard, I have been interested in it for some time but as a guitarist I haven’t been able to justify the cost yet. Perhaps Roli can integrate it into the electric guitar for special effects. Rock on Jason !
Thanks! It's well worth the price I think, even for a guitarist. It would be easy to add texture to your recording even if you're not a professional piano player! Assuming you have a laptop capable also! 😅
Does the seabord come with its own set of sounds/patches or does it need an external source like a vst or hardware sound bank? Awesome playing btw; beautiful how this futuristic synth work fits the trad folk melody (which I assume it is?) Your renditions kinda remind me of the folk/rock wave of music from the 70s like Fairport Convention or even bits of Fleetwood Mac, with Buckingham's approach to guitar soloing (note bending and the use of slow attack/sustained notes in particular) - a classic rock head here xd honestly, your playing is fkin perfect; I dabble with keyboards here and there and this is exactly how I would do it if only I could ;)
Thanks! That's pretty much the default "Dimensional Rhodes" patch in Equator 2 which comes free with the Seaboard. I've been using it for most of my videos.. I should really look through the rest of the sounds but there's so many of them! 🤣
You don't "just get" an instrument like and play it flawlessly. Dude you have been on that thing for some time now. You seem pretty much one of only two people that can actually play it. So I guess you are paid by roli.
Thanks 😊 Yes when I said I'd "just got this" it hadn't arrived that morning! I'd had it about 6 weeks at that point. And I put a LOT of practice into this first video🤣 Roli didn't discover me until a few weeks after this... They paid me for the few days of filming but I'm doing all the Seaboard Sundays videos on my own budget unfortunately!
@@pfylimThanks! 🤣 Interesting. I just realised your comment had gone in to RUclips's "for review" section! Glad I realised before it was automatically deleted 😱
@@JasonTurkMusic Great exchange. Glad it's not deleted. Maybe dude is a bit cynical but I really appreciated your respect for one another. I'd love that keyboard. I don't care how much it costs. The bending is the bomb.
Oh my god. Mind blowing.. really amazing...
Sounds like a Rhodes crossed with a pitch bender. Brilliant. Imagining this being played by Chick Corea on a reprise of Return To Forever.
Haha! Thanks! It is a Rhodes sample I'm using mostly! 😊
🤩🤩🤩

@@JasonTurkMusic thanks for the clarification. 6 weeks is an impressive achievement but not sure if most mortals can get there that fast
