This chap is so engaging and listenable on the topic of Irish music, he makes it look effortless. He even makes it appear as if the RISE 2 was specially developed for Irish music.
The Seaboard is literally Back to the Future 2015 technology for a musician. Compact, extremely functional, comfortable, etc. etc. I've wanted this for so long, but it's just so darn expensive for my budget. Definitely planning this for the future though.
I've been loving the seaboard Sundays videos! Just got a seaboard, and am slowly getting the hang of it. I was a tin whistle guy in our Irish band so the translation to a keyboard is quite something! Thank you for sharing this :)
Awesome to see someone else enjoying the benefits of the lap friendly design of the Rise. It’s one of my fav things about it amongst many. Really helps you feel connected and one with the instrument with it on your lap like that which I think enhances how expressive you can get with it.
So looking forward to more Seaboard Sunday videos. I suppose it's getting a better reception than the bodhrán did back in the day. These are different times in need of different tools. A perfect match this seems to be all around. Hup!
Hey! Where can I find that advertisement video where there's Jason, a guy playing acoustic guitar and another guy with a drum?? I need to hear that piece of music again, I NEED IT, WHERE IS IT, GIVE IT TO ME!!! Bloody RUclips won't even let me play the ad from the start when I pause it, why are you guys doing this to me? That ad is fantastic!
At 2m mark, "having it on your lap is a game changer", but this isn't possible for PC users. MAC ONLY. I only say that because it's not lap friendly when a USB cable is sticking out the side (PC implementation of MIDI won't allow for Bluetooth connection).
Thanks. @ROLI will be releasing a full version of this performance at some point. In the meantime here's a video I did for my Seaboard Sundays video series.. ruclips.net/video/uq8XFWPWpcg/видео.html
I have one, but what's held me back recently are software bugs which I'm waiting on being worked out. There's a really annoying bug where shifting the octave around causes the patch to go silent until reloading it again. When that fix comes out, I'll post some vids :)
@@ChonkTek that's a pity. It's working flawlessly on my rise 2 with Equator 2. It holds any currently pressed notes at the current octave but any new notes are at the new octave. It's very quick. You can see me use it in the middle of a run of triplets on this video ruclips.net/video/M-OLLHspbVI/видео.html
@@JasonTurkMusic the problem isn't within Equator 2 as a standalone. It's when using it as a plugin within Live. Roli finally was able to duplicate the issue recently, so we are awaiting an update.
@@JasonTurkMusicah, I see you ARE using a PC, so that requires the USB connection. Have you found a cable with a really short plug which doesn't extend outward much? We are concerned about having that plug bumped and the USB jack broken. If only Bluetooth were possible for PC...
🧐 synth… and Irish/Celtic music…. How on earth does this work?! That is awesome and inspiring!!
You sound like you need to listen to Mike Oldfield. I would recommend it at least.
Jason’s Irish music on the seaboard is stunning!

Are you using it on Mac?
@@ChonkTek yes… except for when I’m just using it with a hardware synth.
Brilliant!
Thanks! 🙂

Where is the video of yall on the couch playing???? absolutely mesmerizing
Could we get some bodhrán sounds in to it, then play it by tapping with your hands?
Very interesting. This pitch of yours. There's much in appreciation. 😮
This is amazing @JasonTurkMusic! Great to see you get this exposure ❤
Thanks! 🙂
I'd like to hear this feller do the Local Hero theme tune on this, as was done by Dire Straights
Pressed for time sounds amazing in this well done no name trio
Where can i listen to the whole song they play at around 1:15?

Take a look at ROLI's channel?
Fantastic!
This is amazing.
Love the trad on the seaboard :)
Thanks! 🙂
Where do you buy some of this music? There's some catchy stuff here!
Cool video! What setup are you using to play outdoors/at a gig without needing a whole laptop/DAW setup?
I'm using a Microsoft Surface laptop..focusrite interface and battery amp by Elite Acoustics.
@@JasonTurkMusic ah, thanks. I assume you’re running Equator2 on the Surface?
@@aatreya yep! Usually through Reaper if I'm recording.

you can still put it on your lap with a USB cable attached.
that last song was beautiful is there a full version?

shades of Horselips ..... cool
Is that a Seaboard Rise 1 or a Seaboard Rise 2 ?
Wish more people were showing their talents on this baby 😊
It's the Rise 2. I pre-ordered as soon as I knew they had started making them as I'd always wanted a Rise 1 but they were only available second hand.

Would love to do something similar to this with traditional Asian music, but too bad, this does not ship to Asia yet. 🤷♂🤷♂
What does he have it connected to?

wait a minute this guy is turkish,we can do perfect things now
That J S Bach is often described as a genius, but missing out on one of these doesn't sound too clever ..........................
😂
How is he playing it without a laptop computer attached? Can you really do that??
bluetooth
