Its the type of thing that sounds better off the tongue and just works better. Dragon hawk. So what does this all mean? while i think that this video has many interesting points and there might be a lot to this theory, it should be considered that it is quite common for writers to draw inspiration from different cultures and blend them without necessarily implying some secret message. I work as a concept artist and even when it comes to character or weapon designe, we will use references from different cultures in order to create new and interesting designs. Same goes for the choice of names and basically any creative aspect of a story. I am not saying this to debunk this video as it might be true, but I just want to mention that we shouldn't expect all the countless One Piece theories to come true just because we think that there are tons of implications when in some cases, it's probably just Oda enjoying creative freedom

hearing you talk about the WG's euro influence is making me think back to your amatsuki / marines theory: It could be that the amatsuki clan + their allied families were installed by these european victors to be the watchdogs of the WG, aka the marines. the people who would keep order down below the realm of the gods. similar in my mind to how the uchiha were treated in konoha's history in naruto. that could tie in to the connections you draw in your other theory and also set up a perfect scenario to fuel the friction between the marines + the WG, both having origins in royal families, and important roles, but with the marines ultimately subjugated by the WG

It could be that the amatsuki clan + their allied families were installed by these european victors to be the watchdogs of the WG, aka the marines. the people who would keep order down below the realm of the gods. similar in my mind to how the uchiha were treated in konoha's history in naruto. that could tie in to the connections you draw in your other theory and also set up a perfect scenario to fuel the friction between the marines + the WG, both having origins in royal families, and important roles, but with the marines ultimately subjugated by the WG

@Potato98765 nah I don't think we need to worry! I have a shanks video discussing my reaction to the kid fight. And in that I talked about how oda will handle the OG characters like mihawk and zoro. It'll all be similar to luffy and shanks, no doubt in my mind and it was 100% validated when we saw how oda handled garp too. Garp being the most OG since he is a pilot character that at one point replaced shanks even haha

Regardless of an unchosen starting point, one has to set their own goals and reach them by their own choices and efforts. Luffy and Zoro are both Heroes in the sense!
One Piece champions individualism, meaning each individual is a representative of themselves, and not a representative of everyone with their last name or same skin color (or species in One Piece). So even if Zoro does have busted lineage, he still represents only himself. All his decisions are “First-handed” (values and standards chosen by ones own rationality/reasoning).
