I was told I am not allowed to do this at work after getting out, it made the new hires upset and quit. The kids today need it more now then we ever did back in 1984. Glad retirement is approaching as the kids today are pretty much worthless fat bodies who think they are entitled to everything for no work whatsoever.
They're just humans I'm sure some are assholes but drill Cadre across the board.. high asvab scores no doubt. But American public school.. you can be a d student. Might mean you don't care. Might mean your slow.. military is made for anti establishment types. We don't care so much we care.

They do. One of my former DIs voice was so bad, I heard his voice before seeing his face and I legit thought someone was speaking through a radio.
They really do. My one uncle was in the Navy and his Sergeants sounded like they chain smoked for 30 years but they just screamed away their voices. They say it's worth it though

I was looking for a female recruit version of these videos. My sister grew up with 4 brothers and enlisted in the Marines. Let's just say she excelled in the hand to hand combat training. She said the only time she got in trouble was for telling her instructor that our dad was scarier than he was.

Lol. 2 weeks in we got to make a real call, my fiance missed the call while she was at work and apparently cried all week long until I called back.
They were just really excited and wanted to let his mom know.
It was raining one day and my drill sergeant did like that. So he made me do pushups to make the rain stop. When it didn’t stop raining, he made me do squats to see if that would work. It didn’t. So he made me do sit ups for not making the rain stop.

A bloke I met travelling was a Marine DI on annual leave and he said once the Drill Instructor's were behind closed doors, away from the recruits they would all just start pissing themselves laughing, swapping stories of some of the dumb shit they made recruits do for no reason.

I implore you to look at how the Spartans, Native american, african, and numerous other people (INCLUDING the romans). Soldiers have always and will always endure hardship before going to war because it’s necessary. Scientific literature? How about you look into the vast libraries on the subject studied at places like West Point, DIA National Security Institute, as well as all the scholars on the subject?

Bruh I know that feeling. 2001 Ft Knox. 5'11. I think the drill Sargent's in question might have been like at max 5"6. I wasn't in their platoons, but lets just I had a couple of sugar cookie days and quite a few hotbox days. Good thing we got new mops at the beginning of Hell week.
If you think it’s funny to laugh, you’ll learn real quick. A guy in my platoon got caught laughing and got IT for an hour. The drill instructors made him laugh as he did pushups, bicycle crunches, planks, etc.good times. Good times

I remember being lined up and the instructors were inspecting us. One must have said something quite funny cuz we all heard a snigger come from somewhere in formation. I swear whoever giggled gave out the wimpiest “have mercy” before getting set on by the instructors. No idea how the rest of us didn’t burst out laughing.
How to survive boot camp:
1. Do what you’re told
2. In case of yelling, say “Aye, Sir!” Or “Aye, Ma’am!” every few seconds.

@Bobby Allen They accused me of cheating in the pits on table 1 and dropped me back 3 weeks. They were tearing off my glow belt, canteens, war belt ect and chucking them in every direction and making me go get them, then a sprint to a very distant sandbox. Yeah not fun but now I can laugh haha

I tried my damnedest to become a Marine, and when I was at "Ole Paradise Island" as my Drill instructors called it, Drill Instructor Sargent Spain, would purposely say funny shit to try and make you laugh so he could smoke your ass. There were far and few moments that they would allow us to laugh and actually have "fun" while training. I was in 3rd Battalion 3004 K company!!! I wish I could of stayed in, but fell off one of the obstacles courses, broke one of my fingers, and re-broke my shoulder. Once they saw that I had lied about not having any broken bones and lied about not having anxiety attacks I was discharged after I healed up. Looking back, I wish I could have done things differently, but I was young and just wanted to do anything to be a Marine. Yes, it was wrong that I had lied about my medical conditions, but that's how badly I wanted in!!
