    I'm so glad to see someone else using this technique. No one I knit with ever seems to know what I'm talking about, lol.

    I cast on this blanket on 9th January 2022 and I’m so excited by it, I’ve init quite a lot of column one and am going to start column 2 soon, I just need to get my head round weaving in as I go, I don’t think I’ve quite got it yet. Looking forward to joining as I go 😀

      I just saw this tutorial on weaving in ends today, I found it really helpful. It's been a while since you made this comment, so I'm sure you're on to other projects but maybe it'll be helpful in the future.

    Not to beat a dead horse (I commented on the M1R video), but you just did a M1R on the right side of the center stitch and a M1L on the left side of the center stitch, which is backwards from what your pattern states to do. It seems like your pattern would be correct because you are forming a chevron, but I am increasingly confused about this pattern.

      MNSusan NoName I'm sorry! I didn't realize until this morning that I had reversed the increases in the pattern when I filmed these tutorials (M1R and M1L instead of M1L and M1R). It's only a very slight difference in the actual knit. As long as you do opposite increases on either side of the center stitch, the pattern will come out fine. I demonstrate a M1R, k1, M1L in this video but what is written in the pattern, M1R, k1, M1L will also achieve the desired result.

      Thank you for commenting this. I was an entire strip done on my blanket, watched this then freaked out that I'd been doing it wrong. *Still fairly new to knitting and easy to panic!*

    Can this be done in the other direction as well? I.e pick it back up and weave it back on the wrong side?

    Thanks so much! Quick question, once the tail of the new color is woven in, do you just weave in the end of the previous color as you normally would? That end is still there, obvs. :)

    • @Skeinanigans
      @Skeinanigans  5 лет назад +8

      Brenna Darazs First you weave in the end of the previous color, then on the next right side row you weave in the end of the second color! So you'll actually weave in ends on two rows for each color change
