This blanket has just exploded over the podcasting world!!!! You should be so chuffed!!! And I can see why! I have the pattern and hope I can manage it.
I just bought this pattern, and I'm in love with it. sometimes I just want to take a break from patterns that take up a lot of my attention and do something easy, but satisfying. I have children, and when they are running around, it gets hard to count when I have to stop every 5 min lol. with this, I can conversate, watch tv, and put it down mid row without having to worry about where I left off. also I have ALOT of scrap yarn to get rid of. thank you so much for this elegant, yet simple pattern!!
Thank you so much for the video! I hope there are more.....I believe this is my scrappy pattern for this year. I’ve done 2 cozy memory blankets and was going to do another until I saw yours. Blessings! Beverly
Thank you so much for your explanation! I will be starting my project soon and wondered about this part. It is going to be so fun to make! Have a lovely day! :)
Knitting Pipeline I am so thrilled that you like it! Your podcast was one of the first ones I ever listened to and I am very flattered 🥰 so glad you are enjoying it!
Thank you for showing how to join as you go. One of my dearest friends in the world lives across the pond and I want to make her a blanket so badly but I need it to hold up and I hate sewing together squares cuz I feel like it always looks messy and not how I want. This is going to help so much! Thank you!!
Thanks so much for all of your northeasterly tutorials! I’m getting ready to start my own, and was trying to see how you bind off each chevron. Maybe I missed it in a tutorial? I may make individual strips and mattress stitch them together to make this project more portable
Loving this pattern. I took a break on my first column and am successfully joining the second one so far. Can I knit the second column longer than the first and go back later? How will I join it when I'm on the RS instead of WS? I don't think the k3tog will work the same but not sure. Thanks!!
Hello, I hope you can help me! I’m a very experienced knitter and have started knitting this pattern. I’m loving it but am encountering a problem. Where I’m joining as I go, the joins seem to be unravelling and I don’t know why! I’ve watched this tutorial many times and am pretty sure I’ve got the technique right. I check the join as I complete each one and the stitches are interlocked, but for some reason later down the line I encounter problems with the stitches becoming disconnected. What am I doing wrong? I really don’t want to abandon this project, please help!
As long as the edge stitch doesn’t drop, the join should be stable. Just make sure you’re knitting through all 3 of the loops when you pick up the edge stitch, and carefully slipping at the beginning of the row. If the stitch does drop you can ladder it back up through the slipped stitches on the piece you’re connecting to. I hope that helps! You can also knit the individual columns and join afterwards if you’re just not catching on to the join as you go technique
Loved the tutorial. Thank you 😊 However, I am so slow on the "uptake" at times. I do have a question: how do the rows Before the joined row get joined? My first "strip is 7" long.
Is that video the first one that you did?? If I remember good, I think that you had one where you explain the number of sts, how to knit that pattern to obtain that design. I boughtyour pattern but I didn’t find it to begin the first first band. Thanks for answering me.
Claudette Monty It is a paid pattern on Ravelry but there is not a video fully explaining the pattern because that would give away too much. You can email me at Skeinanigans@gmail.com for help.
Definitely! The finished width of the columns will be different as well as the needle size you need to choose, but it’s totally adaptable. I just chose to offer fingering and DK weights when I wrote the pattern.
when you say k3tog, you are meaning the last stitch on the left hand needle and the 2 legs of the edge stitch on the joining piece right?? I had to watch this part again because I thought you were actually knitting 3 together.
calmingwaters81 Yes, the last stitch on the left needle and the 2 legs of the slipped stitch are knitted together. My apologies if that was confusing! I couldn't think of a different way to say it.
calmingwaters81 And yes, you move a few stitches up when joining the first bit. I noticed the fabric got stretched out if I tried to join on the very first slippped stitch. I'll be filming a tutorial for that too. Happy knitting!
Oh wow, I love this!!!!

Love the blanket without seaming! I just started it. I’m enjoying it. Thank you for the helpful videos.

Thanks for the tutorial! I’m a visual learner and that was very helpful. I’m getting ready to start my second column. ❤️

I'm having the same problem, did you ever find out how to do it?
Is there a tutorial for casting off the columns please as I have no idea how to do it.Thanks
About to start the second column on my new NE Blanket...any and all tutorials are appreciated.
Hi i was wondering if you could help me understanding the beginning of the pattern i dont really understand it already bought my pattern please

Your video was great but when you turn to do the next row, do you pick up a stitch for the join or just knit across? Do I make since?
Knitpickers you slip the first stitch of the next row and then knit across.

@@Skeinanigans thank you for getting back to me. It’s that pesky edge stitch, when I put my project away. Think I need to stop after a right side row
Hola soy chilena y me fascino este tejido y hoy lo compre gracias por enseñarnos estas bellezas
Thank you so much for the tutorial! You did a beautiful job! I would love some tips on how to read lace pattern charts. ❤️❤️❤️
Loved the tutorial. Thank you 😊 However, I am so slow on the "uptake" at times. I do have a question: how do the rows Before the joined row get joined? My first "strip is 7" long.
Dreda Lombardo There is another tutorial for the initial joining!

Hi, would love to buy the pattern! Would it be considered fairly easy? Is there a coupon code?
Silly question but couldn’t this patten be used for any yarn weight? Like worsted?
Definitely! The finished width of the columns will be different as well as the needle size you need to choose, but it’s totally adaptable. I just chose to offer fingering and DK weights when I wrote the pattern.
@@Skeinanigans thank you for getting back to me so soon!!

no problem!! thanks for replying
Would be great if you could zoom in a wee bit more for my old 👀. Thanks!
Dee Thompson Thanks for the feedback! I'll be filming more tutorials tonight, so this is very helpful!
Super! Didn’t want to seem like a pain - just couldn’t see as closely as I need to. Such a beautiful pattern!
Do you slip the first stitch with yarn in front or yarn in back?
Scarlet Costello I'm sorry I missed this comment! Always slip with yarn in front.
@@Skeinanigans Thanks so much. I look forward to knitting your pattern.
super gave deken, maar patroon is er niet in het nederlands. wat jammer
