GM Engineers literally took apart a 458 and rebuilt it as an LT6
Except the 458 is smaller, and you can't call it a rebuild IF IT DOESN'T END UP DISPLACING THE SAME AS THE OG!

This is the best Corvette Chevy has ever built, and waiting to buy the car for 40 years, believe me I know. Leach Wilson Chevy in Shelbyville IL is selling me, my build of the car a C8 3LT Z06 with the Z07 package for MSRP. Aaron is my sales rep and he, as well as the rest of the sales reps, have been awesome. They are selling my build at MSRP, and as soon as I get it I will post it on line. These guys need to be commended for being so honest, and willing to work with the customer. They are way better than any other dealer I've dealt with.
Most of the dealers are out for themselves, its not that they aren't making enough money but they want to gouge for more. I had one dealer try to sell me a used Z06 that didn't have the Z07 package for over $ 210K??? Golf Mill was the worst they told me they didn't want my build that they would order what they wanted and auction it off to the highest bidder. These guys need to be boycotted.

Wow, it sounds amazing. Obviously we miss the normal V8 sound but now that Ferrari have gone turbo its nice to have this high revving high pitched sound back

Sounds almost like the V8 era of F1😫
The flat plane crankshaft V8 has a true balanced exhaust tone, because, it has a balanced firing order. The cross plane crankcase V8 engine fires 2 times in a row on each cylinder bank during the firing cycle, the flat plane does not.
Ah ok so thats what give it that god awful street bike revving sound. The cross plane v8 just sounds so much better. Not as efficient but if all you care about is numbers, you kind of miss the point of the hobby. Stock always sucks no matter how good and hotrodding and modifiying a car is the only thing to do. Good starting point but its still just a starting point.

When Chevy produces a car that high in demand but prices it DOWN and only builds a few that creates a huge imbalance in the market. If they produce more and set MSRP higher there would not be this problem and they would make a Profit!! But GM is run by idiots.

The entire body of the car looks like it's sitting up 6 inches higher than necessary. Looks like it was drawn up by a child. Kit car vibes. Literally every single Vette prior looks sleeker, more aggressive, and better altogether. The mid-engined Corvette prototype from the 90's looks way better. Also you've never seen a Ferrari or a Lamborghini in person.

And at the end of the day, this is a Corvette we’re talking about, made by GM, it ain’t perfect. If you ask me I like the C6 corvette just as much.

Corvette, by tradition, is front engine, cross plane OHV V8. After the switch to mid engine, why not a flat plane DOHC V8? When you change, you change.

Unpopular opinion here- they couldve/shouldve gone the voodoo way and still reap the benefits of a flat plane crank and still rumble.
But imagine if they revived the Camaro Z28, and borrowed this engine from the Vette Z06? And, backed it up with a mandatory Tremec 6 speed?

No way would I ever want a Corvette to sound so delicate as this budget Ferrari, to me a Corvette is supposed to sound like field artillery going off.

@@Eklectic1The automatic in the C8 should prove far more durable than the automated manual in Eurotrash. What do I know anyway, just a retired automotive engineer still young enough to still be at the top of my game. I love a manual myself but it doesn't play well with almost 700 horsepower.

@@PerformanceOnWheels I’m sure, but the cftp will still have lower production numbers then all the other muscle cars of this era by a large margin, and in collectibility that’s a huge factor
