Modern is louder and I favour it slightly more but that classic did not fail to impress😱😱
Agreed modern does have a bit more bark to it but I do also love the subtle popcorn sound the c6 makes
C6 is much louder then c8
One thing I noticed was that the C6 revved slower than the C8. That does matter when it comes to acceleration. I bought a throttle controller for my Mustang GT that regulates the voltage to the throttle and it makes a LOT of difference. There's like over 40 settings and I currently have it on a few notches above stock for daily driving. The quickness of the response of the engine to the accelerator pedal input is quite nice.
Always a good add forsure. Makes the car feel faster on the butt dyno too

This was interesting. Now I’d like to hear the C7 as well. As an aside, I really prefer the look of the center exhaust. I’ve owned a C4, C6, C7, and C8. I’ve used the Corsa XTreme exhaust which I like. They bark when you hit the go pedal and the no drone technology make’s cruising a pleasure. Cheers!

Well said! I drive mine like I stole it and when at a red light and these kids think I won't take off 0 to 60 just to tease them I almost always get a smile from them at the next light or a thumbs up. They know how old I am I have a Vietnam combat Vet on my plate frame. LOL...

It really comes down to personal preference. The C8 is more rowdy and the C6 is smoother. I like them both but lean towards the C6.

Unpopular opinion but I prefer the C8 noise.
C8 way better. I believe headers & cats carefully designed to be deliver compitive sound to Europe cars with American taste.💪
I would say the C8 sounds more modern, not really in a bad way but I prefer the C6 cuz it just has that hint of potato in it that sounds kinda daunting. They do sound similar and I like both though I wish the C6 was the same volume as the C8.

Not knocking the C6 (I've owned 2 ZR1's). But just listen to how SLOW the revs are in the C6 compared to the C8.
This C8 and C6 blows the 2025 ZR1 sound away! They ruined the sound on the 2025 ZR1!!!
C6 has that classic LS scream, and the C8 is deep and extremely responsive.

The C6 looks so much better. The rear of the C8 looks so cluttered and obtrusive. Yeah, I know they are comparing exhaust notes, not looks. Both sound great.

C6 is much better. With a C8 you need the 5.5L with a flat crank on the Z06 to get good sound.

The difference seems to be more with the heavier weight of the flywheel in the LS3, rather than anything else. Anyways LS3 remains better sounding than the LT imo.

I prefer the older corvettes looks wise these newer ones are trying to go after the Italian sports car look and market and they failed miserably to many sharp and exaggerated lines and phony air intake ports makes it looks cheap and desperate for a sale and the c6 sounds I prefer
Objectively speaking- The c8 is so successful that there has been a 1+ year wait to order for 3 years in a row and people paying 20k+ markup for those 3 years (and counting) just to own one. Many being supercar owners. They hit a bullseye. Preferring the older model is okay lol
