Most epic game I've ever watched... same two players hitting back to back homers twice in the same inning will probably never happen again.

Aaron Boone, who was playing for the Reds and is Bretts brother, in 2002 also hit two home runs in the same inning

One of the great things about baseball is the unspoken agreement among all fanbases that it’s ok to root for an opposing player having a historic performance. You see it most often when a pitcher is going after a no-hitter, and Mike Cameron’s 4-HR game is another great example.

I watched this game live on tv and still remember it. Cameron and Boone went back to back twice in the first inning alone. Then Cameron went on to hit four home runs. His fifth at bat was on the warning track and was close to being the only player ever to hit 5 home runs in a single game. I haven’t watched this video yet so hopefully that is how it plays out or else my memory has deceived me.

Then AB #5: Walk (and subsequent boo'ing from the crowd).
Followed by AB #6: LONG fly-out to right field.
I remember watching this game live and switching channels when he came up to AB's numbers 5 and 6 and seeing the other networks switch to this game to watch it live in case history occurred.

Brett Boone hit two home runs in one inning as well. Later in this 2002 season, Aaron Boone (Brett's brother) who plays for the Reds, will also hit two home runs in one inning.
Later that month of May 2002, Shawn Green of the Dodgers also hit 4 home runs in Milwaukee.

He was in the on deck circle with the bases loaded on the third out of the inning so he almost had a chance to do it a third time.
Goosebumps from every time I’ve watched it. It is just below McGwires 62 & 70 but above Whitens 4 Hr double header. Which doesn’t include Musials cuz I didn’t watch that one. I wasn’t born yet but I’d put that up there. Pujols playoff HR off Lidge and his 3 hr WS game would round this list out.

I have never heard a home crowd boo their own team so loud as when the White Sox fans booed their own pitcher for hitting Mike Cameron is his 5th at bat. Their team had already lost, they wanted to see history.
