Hi. Did you ever try to install the Gimbal to the bike handlebar? It did mount my camera only to my handlebar with good video quality. Now I have a Gimbal (Feiyutech WG) and I am thinking about mounting it to the handlebar. I try to get good videos of my son driving in front of me. Thank you for this very good video :-)
Hey Neil, great video ! How did you get really good audio out of this, external mic or a seperate device perhaps?
It is the GoPro Black 3 Audio, the only thing I did was run it through a low pass filter when editing.
Neil, lets say if you are using the gimbal and stand up and ride instead of sitting on the saddle, does it change alot in perspective? Were you standing at all during this video?
I have a Norco face 9.2 Dual suspension 29er and I tend to stand sometimes for better handling.
I am stood up riding in this video, I only sit down when climbing or really tired. 1:22->1:24 I am sat down, that is the only time in the video I am sat down.
Nice I just pruchased one of thise. how did you mount it? With the base flat against your chest or with the base of the gimbal level to the ground?
Base against chest, top closer to chest as it's at an angle when you are on the bike.

Whats up with some of the jittering around the 2:03 mark? I plan on getting this, however I don't want the shakiness of the Gimbal like it shows when I ride on Rock Gardens.
I think it was the way I had the gimbal mounted, I think it was hitting my chest occasionally. I have filmed a lot more since and they updated the firmware, I haven't noticed it since. It worked perfectly in Whistler on the blacks & DBD.
How exactly did you mount the Gimbal WG? With the Left/Right Axis to the top or at the bottom... I bought one myself and the first run was a disaster...
I mounted it with the mount on the back. I had the top of it closer to my chest, so it is vertical when you are in your riding position. Similar to this guy, but more vertical.

Nice Neil , so you are pretty much using a stabilised 3 axis Feiyu Tech WG Gimbal and a Go Pro ? which version Go Pro ? Also , what snacks were you guys eating in this video I am just curious lol

I am in Canada and will try to order Haribo nice packets. For some reason this video of Gimbal looks a bit realistic compared to other Gimbal videos where it looks like they are floating or flying in air lol. Did you do anything different to get this effect?
I didn't play with any of the settings, my forks were very hard and I hadn't set them up properly though. The small fun size Haribo packets are perfect for riding, just the right amount to stuff in your mouth before you hit the trails again.
Is this the 2 axis or 3 axis gimbal? Does it stick out forward too much and impair your riding? I'm thinking about getting one. I've been using the handheld gimbal and mounting it to my chest... Not very comfortable.
+Othes S. I used the 3 axis gimbal, with the GoPro Chest mount. I did not notice any difference to using it without the Gimball, weighs a little more with the gimbal, but not really noticeable.
i want to buy one of those, i have the feiyu g4, but how do you mount it on the chesty?
