Man Sick Puppies were and still are really underrated. Shimon's voice had a touch of nostalgia and still does to this day. Too bad he isn't singing for them anymore.
They weren't "underrated" you just have a limited knowledge of good rock bands.

"The past is in the past. Thank God it doesnt last forever." I connect with this line because my past was horrible and i couldn't cope with anything. I was to the point of suicide. I heard this song and it changed my life. This song changed the way I look at life.
Out of all the bands I've seen live, they were by far the best. They opened for Breaking Benjamin and Chevelle a couple years ago, left the shows more excited about Sick Puppies than the headers I came to see!
I went to that show... unfortunately Breaking Ben cancelled before their set buttttttttttttt sick puppies killed it! So I didn't mind the 14 hour drive!
I got to see these guys live before they broke up, and for that I'm glad. They were an amazing group, and will be missed.

I don't care what anyone says. This band WILL NOT be the same without Shim. There really is no going back because the best of the music this band will produce is now behind them.Not excited for their future. I'll be following Shim's career.
I still have huge respect for the other two as musicians, so as long as they get a competent vocalist, to replace him, I'll possibly remain a fan.
A lot of people are begging for Adam Gontier (Three Days Grace's old vocalist) to replace Shim, which would actually be pretty cool but extraordinarily unlikely.

Lunar Wolf He was kicked out, as said by both parties. The thing being questioned are the actions leading up to that. Shim says it's a result of friction between all the band members, the Emma and Mark say it had to be done after he made multiple attempts to sue them. When it comes to that, I'm not picking sides personally.

Honestly, Connect is my favorite album from SP at the moment. I gotta agree I like Shim a lot more but the music is still awesome. I'll tell you a secret not many people know: bands move on, they won't always be the same and it's your problem if you can't accept it. Period.

Sick Puppies will always hold a close place in my heart. They were my first concert and ive seen them many times since. But they will never be the same without Shim. His voice can not be replaced. I will always support their music and this band no matter what. But he is definitely missed.

Such a great song, and an amazing album. It's been so amazing to see these guys go from opening for Kill Hannah and Flyleaf to headlining and racing up the charts.
What annoys me is that quite a few people have decided somehow that SP has changed because they sound different; I have seen far to many people accusing them of selling out, just because they feel like changing their style up a little on the new album doesn't mean they are doing it because the producer told them to. I like the new stuff and the old stuff, i'd much rather them change then put out song after song that sounds exactly the same.

I think this is what its about
The bands version in white represents bad things they did in the past, one representing every bad thing they did (You see multiple throughout), When they try handing the umbrella to the past, they're trying to get another try, but the past won't let them. At the end, when you see the people in white float up with the umbrella, that is the band letting go of their past and moving on with life. Others may have a different idea but I think this is what its about.

Looking for Dark Horse and finding this song is similar to an arcade machine eating your quarter and then spitting out 3 more when you hit the return button. It's a little inconvenient, but you end up better off.
