    I have this recurring nightmare:
    flailing pigeon, her broken feet
frozen solid to the freezing pavement.
I turn away as if I do not see.
    I have this childhood memory
of my old man screaming from the driver's seat
to turn away from an unfolding horror,
but he could not undo what I had seen.
We never spoke of it again.
    Two more hapless citizens of
the new post-traumatic stress worldwide disorder.
    A stockholm syndrome fifth estate,
desperate to batten down the mounting horrors
and shuffle on in a global lotus gait.
Content to marinate in the plasma glow of the
    home entertainment prisons we
    commune before like dime-store shrines.
    Are these but votive lives?
    It's a strangled, twisted truss
    that shores-up each of us.
    Anything to dull the pain
    of a splintered lotus gait.
As for me a filigree of psychic police tape
tends to cordon-off the darker scenes.
But the wandering mind stumbles through it
    and relives them all eventually.
Pries open wide your eyes and shines a painful light
on the guilt, the fear, the shame.
    The courage never came
from the plasma glow of the
    home entertainment prisons we
    cling to like dime-store shrines.
    Are these but votive lives?
    Conservative at heart.
    A conformist from the start.
    A stockholm syndrome fifth estate.
    A staggering lotus gait.
    It's a strangled, twisted truss
    that shores-up each of us.
    Anything to dull the pain
of a self-inflicted, crippling lotus gait.

There is only one genre to describe Propaghandi - GENIUS.

This is the stuff I wait patiently for bands like Propagandhi and Bad Religion to create every 2 years or so. Punk Rock on and please come to Greece !!!

I can't believe people are debating the genre and the direction this band has taken. They're seriously the last good punk band out there. And don't give me that bullshit about them not being punk. Having ALWAYS been a thrash/punk band, they've simply grown as musicians and people. You'll never get a 40 year old to go back to playing music he did when he was 20. Embrace the growth and the direction friends. They're the last band standing.

When's the last time bad religion progressed musically as a band? When Mr. Brett rejoined the band? Don't get me wrong, I love BR, but Propagandhi is on some next level goodness with their music.

Get a load of this guy. If the musicians you look up to aren't bettering themselves with each iteration then why bother? Punk is punk, yeah we get it. Everyone can get better, and they should. Anyone, any band, anything, should constantly look to become better. Its called evolution, Charles Darwin would like a word with you.
If you don't agree, you should make your avatar something related to the Offspring and go back to listening to old Pennywise albums. Oh wait...

Chris Hannah, the lead singer, put out an ad a long time ago looking for people to join his "Progressive Thrash" band. So anyway I think that's where that comes from...

They are mate. There's more to punk than the brand of skater punk reflected by Pennywise, NOFX, Millencolin, etc. as good as those bands are. I'm sure you know there's a multitude of other sub-genres that branch out from punk, but who really gives a shit. There's more to punk than the sound too, it's as much about the lyrics, attitude and core philosophy of the band. They're certainly no other genre that comes to mind.

Propagandhi has gone more metal to me. i know they still have the same principles but they just sound different. i guess now they could be considered a crossover/thrash? thats still a genre of pink. or am i completely wrong.

Interpunk describes them as 'progressive thrash' but ultimately they are still some derivative of punk. I think the whole war over band genres is over rated.
