can we just stop and appreciate how FUCKING AMAZING these guys are live. you just don't see live shows with such pin-perfect coordination. especially between 9 band members.
back in 2012 my mom was diagnosed with cancer, 2 years later she passed away. depression was crawling in, then the lack of will do live, nothing mattered at that point, then i discover this band by accident and it saved my life, it helped me put my shit back together!
@@kenan1684 as a bass player in a ska band i must say this is the perfect place, cause you could hear the drum directly and not overpowered by horns. And as you can see in other live performance, the bass player always be near the amp so he could hear what he plays…. On god he play so good and precise
When they played this in Philly (on my birthday), a close friend had just ended her life. It brought me to tears. One of those times when life gets really real.
It always warms my heart when everyone in the crowd sings this song at a concert, because some part of me likes to think that, maybe, just maybe, the hard-edge punks you see in the crowd really do care about other people more than they let on.
@@TheJakeHenderson true, but I do notice an overlap. I feel like a lot of the punk people I’ve ran across all love streetlight and appreciate that while they aren’t punk punk, they’re all damn good musicians
seen them 3 times.. those 3 times, left me sore, no voice, sweatyass hell, bruised up, losing shoes. best fucking band ever! singing every damn song damn!
When I come to the US I hope they are still touring, I promised my dead friend to see these guys playing live and thank them for him, and probably also thank them myself for getting us through the shittiest part of our lives.
I will always love this band I saw them live years ago. That was definitely the best concert I've ever been to. It was amazing how literally everyone in the crowd sang every song aloud with the band.
I’ve lost track of how many times I’ve come back to this video over the years. Such an amazing song and such an amazing performance. The beautiful energy here always puts a smile on my face.
I've said it before and I'll say it again.. AdmiralNeeda has the best Streetlight live fan recordings known to humanity!!!!!!!!!!exclamationmark!!!!!!!!!!!
about that joint he picked up, he handed it to the black trumpet player who then put it out on the bottom of his shoe and put it in his pocket to save it for later, then Thomas K went to the mic and said "thats just plain racist"
Im going to see them live in july, and idk how im going to be able to get through this song without balling my eyes out. They saved my life, and all i want is to hear this live
I brought weed to the show too, the green door dispensary was packed with people wearing concert tshirts, it was kinda funny how many people was bringing weed that they bought from around the corner to the show
Thanks! I'm using the Samson Zoom Q3HD. The reason why it gets such great audio is the 2 large mics on top of the camera. It gets better sound than the USB mics made for the iPhone and it also has a much larger lens that allows it to handle dim concert lighting better. The Q3HD also uses AA batteries, which is good if you're going to an all-day festival or a long concert and don't have access to a power outlet. I could tell you more about it, but meanwhile, I would encourage you to get one!
They're fucking great I need to see them live so bad I already know almost all the words to all their songs so I'm ready to scream them at the top of my lungs!
Hearing “shit yes” was my favorite part then hearing him sing. I would be his best friend and I’d sing just as loud as him. For you, stranger. For you. “And when you wake up…..”
sky if youve ever been at any streetlight show you'll have this weird thibg gooing when this song hits. it as always been. i live to hear streetlight play this song once more every year its been a nice 12 year so far
yeah, i'm so happy i could see them about a month ago, most likely the last time they were in this region of Germany over here. The concert was incredibly amazing, tiny location, really really hot and much more exhausting than Zebrahead and Less Than Jake on one evening...
@Charge1305 Ya man, I had never seen them.. Was visiting from Seattle and just happened to make this show. It was amazing how the whole crowd was louder than the PA system.. Great show.
Don't wanna sound like a pretentious superficial dunkey or anything, but the folks going nuts and singing along loudly kind of bewildered me. I mean different people have different views on things, but i think i'd be silently listening and maybe even shed some tears. This song helped me through a really difficult time in my life and hearing it life...damn that would be impactful. And then i'd go wild again at the beginning of the next song.
Seen them live multiple times, sang at the top of my lungs with tears streaming every time. Means too much not to scream along as deep as it touched me. Different strokes

Rest in peace Matthew Stewart, you were so fucking chill and HILARIOUS. I'll miss your trumpet squeals

I have always loved how Tomas puts the the horns center stage.
They're so good in this song
but he put bass in the back😬

rightfully so, because their sound is such a horns-driven sound, if that makes sense.
When they played this in Philly (on my birthday), a close friend had just ended her life. It brought me to tears. One of those times when life gets really real.
really REALLY late reply but, hope your doing alright now.
🙏
Late reply here, but I hope that you are doing alright.
Pretty sure I was at that show. Thats rough to hear buddy. Hope things are looking more hopefully 3 years later
Rest in peace Matt Stewart. We love you.
The hype after the joint is thrown, is so amazing.

Jacob Wood Honestly, most of those guys do care a ton about others. Often they join the punk scene because they had tons of problems in the past.
This is not punk. One of my favorite songs of all time but let’s not kid ourselves...this is a very different scene.
Maxwell Estacado I hear you.
The funny thing is....they do.
@@TheJakeHenderson true, but I do notice an overlap. I feel like a lot of the punk people I’ve ran across all love streetlight and appreciate that while they aren’t punk punk, they’re all damn good musicians
Conti's backing vocals are so sick on this
Is he the one going high pitched at parts like 4:30? Because if so, I agree
@@bitbandit1678 late reply but yee buddy
Gotta love the guys in the beginning
seen them 3 times..
those 3 times, left me sore, no voice, sweatyass hell, bruised up, losing shoes.
best fucking band ever!

Donny Osmond If you haven't had a tooth kicked out, you're fine
Jk hhahaha, that sounds awesome!
Saw them more than ten years ago, drove 2 hours to be there, was tripping so hard and when they played this song all I could do was smile.
When I come to the US I hope they are still touring, I promised my dead friend to see these guys playing live and thank them for him, and probably also thank them myself for getting us through the shittiest part of our lives.
Seeing them live has been such an experience every time. I really hope you can fulfill this request.

Oh my god. I finally realised what Tomas and his shorts and shoes reminds me of...
Sora from Kingdom Hearts
literally had goosebumps that whole time
seeing streetlight live is currently # 1on my bucket list!!
Did you cross it off of the list?
Nice quality, favorite song for sure.

I was here. I was at this concert. You know why? :08-:09 is my voice.

Doctors say 1 in 16000 babies are born with hearing loss and an extra chromosome. This is the only explanation as to how 2 people disliked this video.
***** doctors have now increased these estimates to 1 in 22000.
Now there’s 8 dislikes somehow
Homeless slowbro 10 :(

Listening to this In 2018

I was surprised too. I've been to a few of their shows and they've never played this song.
Because someone threw a joint at him. That's why he said " Are you throwing marijuana drugs at me again?"
i will do anything for that backdrop!!!! streetlight manifesto is the best band ever!!!
