Once again, Cultaholic Wrestling is trying to rewrite history here. Hogan was not the leader of nWo Hollywood when he beat Nash for the belt. Scott Steiner was. Hogan had been retired and was going to run for President when he got the chance to challenge Nash for the WCW belt. While the company became a joke, it's history is just as important as the WWE and we need to maintain accuracy when talking about it.
I think it is impressive to be able to put a big guy like Nash with just one poke of a finger. But really, it makes sense. Think of it like a bed of nails. You can lie down on a bed of nails all day and you will be fine. All the force of gravity acting on your body is shared by many points of contact so none is enough to break the skin or pierce your body. But try laying down on one nail and you will be in real trouble. Now, all that force is concentrated on one point. Hogan is obviously a physicist in his spare time, and therefore knew if he could concentrate all the force of his 24 inch pythons into an area the size of his finger, it would be a devastating blow to even someone as strong as Nash. And the results speak for themselves. He was right. Nash, on the other hand, is not very learned, and didn't see it coming.

He will undoubtedly be the longest reigning heel champ ever. But that’s not a good thing, it’s WWE not caring how dumb they make themselves look. Historically any heel champ that consistently cheated to win would have the playing field leveled for them to lose before too long, or before it became stale. The fact that WWE has done nothing to penalize Roman makes them look incompetent, and makes it that much harder to suspend disbelief that this is an actual sport competition. Once again, I will defend the Fingerpoke of Doom, and even Nash winning the world title. Ever since Goldberg won the belt, WCW had been lagging behind WWF in the Monday Night ratings. It appeared that Goldberg had grown stale very quickly, just like the Ultimate Warrior had in 1990. Goldberg's squashes had apparently ceased to be a draw, although the rebroadcast of his Halloween Havoc win over DDP had given WCW its first ratings win in months. It seemed like people would tune in for a match between Goldberg and a major babyface. And by the fall of 1998, Nash had become one of the most popular babyfaces in the company, and his contract was about to expire. Goldberg had few, if any, credible opponents left, so Nash was an obvious pick to end the streak. There had been an ongoing story with Nash and Hall, as the latter was trying to redeem himself to the former after his betrayal and alcohol troubles earlier in the year. Hence why you have Hall interfering on Nash's behalf in the main event. Meanwhile, Hogan had (kayfabe?) decided to run for office after Jesse Ventura's unexpected success, and he announced his retirement on the Tonight Show. So when he showed up on Nitro to announce "one last match" before he retired, everyone assumed that he would put Nash over, thereby putting a ribbon on the White vs. Red feud that had grown stale months earlier. The idea that Hogan would get a clean win over Nash was too horrible to contemplate. (WCW fans really wanted to see relatively younger stars like Chris Jericho and Booker T get their time in the main event, but Nash was an OK compromise for the moment. He was still slightly under 40.) Instead, WCW did something legitimately surprising: Nash took a dive, thereby reuniting the nWo, and trolling the hell out of the fans. It was a gamble that this would reinvigorate the nWo angle, and make WCW exciting again. The gamble did not pay off, of course. The nWo were wracked by injuries, and overshadowed by the tiresome feud between Flair and Bischoff for control of WCW. But for a few brief days in early 1999, I believed (naively) that WCW was going to remain a fun and exciting alternative to WWF, even if they seemed destined to be #2 to the WWF's crass Attitude Era.
It's crazy that the chokeslam (Hogan taker judgement day 2002) looks so good.

Yeah it would’ve been fine but would have popped office hard probably not so yeah.
@@_Pauper_ lol no, none of those guys mentioned could've been in Hogans spot.. they tried with macho and Warrior and bother weren't able to draw Hogan money... Hulk worked with everyone and got them paid higher than they'd ever been so who's the common denominator there? Hogan couldn't have been replaced and its asinine to think otherwise... the numbers speak for themselves here

youre slacking on the news.
I disagree with you on the summer WCW 1999 run, that was one of my favourite times as a wrestling fan
The dates are wrong for Number 3. It should be April 2nd 1989 and April 1st 1990 not April 2nd 1990 and April 1st 1991
That doesn't work for me brother
Damn did he beat Savage 3xs for a World Title ????
So we aint counting the Jeff Jarrett moment?
