I literally got into wrestling during the split of the interview. And it was only through a friend and to this day I am now a pro wrestling fan to this day. That being said, Scott Norton was always the guy that completely Disturbed me as a complete powerhouse. He should have been given a championship run and was completely underused.
WCW was usually pretty good at putting over any wrestler who had "shoot" credentials, so it's all the more surprising that Norton never got a solo push. I always assumed it was his time in Japan that kept him back.
I feel like Nash should be #1. He was the main “invading” member of NWO along with Hall. Hogan had success on his own in WCW before the faction started. He beat Goldberg’s streak as an NWO member, head of the Wolfpac, and even found himself on the booking team which was known by some of the viewers. As far as the overall gimmick and success of the faction, Hogan was the main ingredient but Nash comes off like the chef of the meal.
I gotta hand it to *Bischoff* those first 6 months of the *NWO* were brilliant. The time leading up to *Bash at the Beach* 96' a stroke genius. I think *Eric Bischoff* and a handful of others knew *Hall and Nash* were coming. *Sting, Macho Man, Luger and Henan* to name a few really didn't know because their reactions were genuine. Once they were later on let in on it that's when the ball got to rolling. *WCW* fans had no clue what was going on they thought that s*** was real especially seeing *Rey Mysterio* getting long darted into the side of a trailer. The emotions running at the time saw heels and babyfaces of *WCW* putting their differences to the side and band together. *WCW* could've dealt the killing blow to *WWE* because *McMahon* was and still is sooo out of touch with reality and petty. *Bischoff* and the rest just overdid the *NWO* angle among other things but, I'm happy to have experienced the *Monday Night War.* I can't watch wrestling now I don't feel the same about it when I was younger it's like a soap opera with more talking and less wrestling and over-saturated.
Yeah. The nWo plateaued in 1997, and grew progressively bloated and stale through 1998 to early 1999, as it grew into a generic stable of heels. I understand that ending the nWo with Sting's win over Hogan at Starrcade '97 would have been premature, even after 18 months. The angle was still the hottest thing in wrestling, and finding new ways to keep it going was the right call. But the Hollywood/WolfPac split just didn't work. Instead of getting an ongoing feud between the White and the Red, nWo Hollywood was mostly off and doing their own thing by summer 1998, leaving the injury-plagued Wolfpac to flounder around for a few months. There were a few midcard feuds between members of the nWo factions, but it was no longer the main event. Hogan dropped the belt to Goldberg, and then started feuding with DDP, various celebrities and finally the Ultimate Warrior before announcing his retirement on the Tonight Show.
I remember being super excited when Luger and then Sting joined the nWo Wolfpack but looking back it was a bad idea. Those 2 should have stayed with WCW like DDP and Goldberg did. And hes right calling the WWE Gang Wars storyline lame. It started off cool as hell but got boring really quick. Could have been so much better. Sticking Savio Vega and Crush with a bunch of nobodies was the wrong move. The Nation Of Domination had all legit stars. Nobody knew who the other members of DOA and Los Boriquas were
Well I'd been watching ECW for awhile before the Gang Warz (WWE: replacing an s with a z is cool) so I recognized Chainz (Prime Time Brian Lee). I also recognized Skull and 8 Ball (The Bruise Brothers), even without the '80s big hair.
Man, wouldn't have that gone thru the roof. OWN(one warrior nation) The warrior, Goldberg, Sting, Luger Booker T against NWO. I believe Warrior did have an idea to create WCW against NWO. Well we know where that went, down the tubes. All backstage politics.

I disagree with #1 on this list. Yes, Hogan was the game changer and shocked the world when he turned heel, but his matches were average at best and I really suspect that he bribed the ref in Starrcade 97 to do a normal counr so that Sting's victory over the dastardly villain lost its impact. Honestly I'd put Scott Hall in at #1, since he was the one who got the ball rolling in the first place. Give Hogan the #3 spot. I have no problem with Nash being #2.

Miss Elizabeth never looked comfortable doing anything on TV.. Ever..
Always getting passed around
She wad pilled up by the time she was in NWO
@@heyYo31 🤣🤣🤣 you think Hall, Nash or Sting banged her?
Everyone talks like she is the most beautiful woman to walk the planet… she couldn’t hold a candle to Sable, Trish Stratus, or Stacy Keibler…. They were all way prettier than her. She had an older woman attractiveness about her but that was it!
@@AdamSmith-kb7kt sorry but 2 of these women you mentioned had MAJOR work done on their bodies and faces(idk about stacy), maybe you mean they were hot not beautiful
How could you forget the guys from the TBS show "Dinner and Movie" when they turned NWO on Clash of the Champions in 97!!! DDP came out, trashed the set and dropped a cutter on Paul Gilmartin.
Hilarious segment...should be ranked in above Petty at least!!!

Steiner was awful on the mic. The best are Jericho, Flair and the Rock.
I remember when he said his body was mesmermizing.
@@ericambrose7024 my body is memserizin...from behind Ill be pulverizin, now lets do the bump and grind, while i go behind
The best? Not even top 3.
1. The Rock
2. Ric Flair
3. Macho Man
@@jjmanzano9 Scott Steiner doing rants was *must see TV* for me as a teenager. I didn't care about the mistakes, him and Buff walking out used to have me and my Brother tearing up the living room hahaha
Nick Patrick as the NWO ref had one if those faces you just wanted to slap, he was SUCH a skeezebag.
Most wrestlers are skeezbags do some research
@@kristie9112 I'm talking about his character, thanks. Which means he was doing his job well. And I've been a wrestling fan for quite some time, so I don't think I need the research or the lecture. Have a lovely day.
I think the biggest indictment of nWo's bloat is how long it took to get to members that actually mattered or were/are well-received as members.
wcw was basically nwo. no longer a faction. it was the promotion. and it sucked
@@RobertRedway yea it should be 10 members max and it should eventually end by some face faction and not go on forever like it did
I was expecting this to be an hour long but I can't believe you guys did this 😂
You should do a part two covering the rest of 1998 1999 2000 and 2002
1. Scott Hall, 2. Kevin Nash, and 3. Hulk Hogan. Hall was the glue that held that bit together.
OWN(one warrior nation)
The warrior, Goldberg, Sting, Luger Booker T against NWO. I believe Warrior did have an idea to create WCW against NWO. Well we know where that went, down the tubes.
All backstage politics.
Idk the wolfpack was the best. They got over better then neo. Hall should have joined wolfpack but Hogan had to be the star and didn't allow it
Danny McBride should make a cameo as Nick Patrick when Chris hemsworth plays Terry in the Hulk Hogan movie.
Nick Patrick's mullet and mustache combo were...
*too sweet.*
Funny how Scott is ranked number 3 but he was the brains behind the NWO… hogan admitted this after halls passing and biscoff confirmed it. Sting crow image? Hall!!! RIP Mr Hall my favorite wrestler!!!
Was always a huge fan of Mike Rotunda! Incredible wrestler!
I couldn't disagree more. Vicious & Delicious was one of the coolest tag team names ever.
Agreed.
For real.
Your next ranking (or tier list) should be every member of Bullet Club. I’d love to see that.
Top 8 imo. Not sure who and where I'd rank the others after that.

Luke Gallows #2

Da Kingz lounge show, Brought me here! Thank you Razor Ramon aka Scott Hall for all you have given us and the nWo 4 life RIP 🙏🏾 I miss the 90s and the Monday night wars
"his sanity clearly in tatters" maybe the best thing said about Scott Steiner
Very enjoyable video. It brought me back to the good-o'l-days. Nwo Wolfpack member ranked next?
I dunno if Rodman being involved was a sign of how hot the nWo was, since Rodzilla had been involved with WCW (namely Hogan) long before the nWo was even formed.
But that was before Rodman was 3-peating with the Bulls and name value skyrocketed.
@@apersononyoutube1994 Rodman had already won multiple titles and multiple defensive player of the year awards, among other numerous accolades, before he ever appeared in WCW. He was already a household name
Rick Rude appeared on both Raw and Nitro at the same time LOL
I think the key guys were clearly Hogan, Nash, Hall and Eric but I think Scott Steiner, Sean Waltman, Buff Bagwell, Giant and Rodman all really fit what NWO was going for. I love Savage and Henning but they never worked in the NWO in my opinion.
I remember Konnan started saying “toss my salad” on the mic. Yeah that was a bit much
Louie Spicolli was my boy. Introduced me to the death valley driver
I was an independent pro wrestler for 10 years, and at the tail end of my career, my tag partner and I took an existing stable, and turned it into an nWo tribute stable, complete with nWo inspired merch, and we were basically The Outsiders; there'll never be anything like the nWo again.

@Versatile Wolf Well… the video didn’t agree… So I guess it’s not that obvious to everyone? And thus, it probably needed to be said, since you clearly agree with me and not the video…
So what’s your point?
Disco Inferno is for sure Top 50 NWO Member.
Huh. Thought it would be longer, given nearly the entire roster was in the faction.
Ah he said Prime members. Gotcha
And think - this list doesn’t include Wolfpack, nWo 2000 (black and silver with Jarrett and such) and the one they did later in WWE and all the Japan members... wow
So... Ranking all of WCW and some of WWE in the late 90s and that stint we dont talk about in the 2000s.. Got it.
What do you mean? Guess I don't understand.
And also some celebs and athletes and maybe even some fans or random people who happened to be walking by the arena on a Monday night.
@@ddabeast3274 it's in the comment.... there's. #31.....this is before Wolfpack split when they were trying to make a split much like raw and smackdown, yet, there is no wwf rank of the same time..... half of them would be 0

2. Kevin Nash
3. Hollywood Hogan
4. Syxx
5. Randy Savage
6. Eric Bischoff
7. Curt Hennig
8. Buff Bagwell
9. Scott Norton
10. Scott Steiner
Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Randy Savage, Eric Bischoff, Syxx, Scott Stiener, Buff Bagwell, Konnan, Scott Norton, Dennis Rodman, Curt Hennig were the best members... Savage was one of my favorites and modern fans need to stop hating on nWo Red & Black Wolfpac they were super over in 1998 going into 1999 they sold so much merchandise and were hip and cool at the time everybody loved it more than anybody ever liked The Shield so quit hating The Wolfpac
During those times there were some nWo members shouldn't have been there in the first place. Imo WCW didn't use The Great Muta enough. He is my favorite Japanese wrestler. Some other wrestlers I should've been in the nWo are Bam Bam Bigelow and Sycho Sid...
Nice list, but the Giant should have been higher. I'd think he was in the 4-6 range with Bischoff and Steiner. Hogan, Nash, and Hall are the clear top 3.
Hall, Nash, Hogan, Syxx, Bischoff, Giant........
They named him Vincent after Vince McMahon because wwf had named him Virgil after Dusty Rhodes real name.
But they already had VK Wallstreet.
As a kid, I wanted one of those NWO shirts so damn bad.
Rip Scott hall.🙏🙏
As a Chicago Bulls fan, I have to ask this:
Was Dennis Rodman on this list?...
"Jazz cigarette enthusiast" got me for some reason 😂
I want a pair of those silver sunglasses that Scott Norton has. The one with the yellow backdrop
Kevin Nash should be #1. He literally made the N.W.O twice!
I've been waiting for this ridiculous list. I'm ready for this. My whole body is ready. I'm just disappointed you got it all under :30... This should of been a 2:43 video... But I digress.
Thank you Adam and cultaholic
I disagree with #1 on this list. Yes, Hogan was the game changer and shocked the world when he turned heel, but his matches were average at best and I really suspect that he bribed the ref in Starrcade 97 to do a normal counr so that Sting's victory over the dastardly villain lost its impact. Honestly I'd put Scott Hall in at #1, since he was the one who got the ball rolling in the first place. Give Hogan the #3 spot. I have no problem with Nash being #2.
NWO doesn’t reach the heights that it did without Hogan. Heel Hogan was a breath of fresh air for his character and shot the group into the mainstream. 100% deserves #1.
Let's just be honest for a moment, we all obviously knew who was going to take the #1 spot. That isn't the reason we watched this video though.

Nash and Hall's vision for the NWO is better to me. They were cool and had swag. Sure Hogan's biker gang idea sounds too wrestling for a group that wanted to be different.
