- A look at the new deviant monster "Crimson Helm Arzuros", the punk-motif monster in Monster Hunter Generations. Kind of easy online but pretty fun if you solo him. At later levels they pair him with some insanely strong monsters (Crimson + Savage Jho at LV9 - lol)
Armor set: Shagaru S with Jho chest. Skills: AuS, Noral Up, Trajectory, Peak Performance, Satisfaction. Weapon Kushala Daora LBG.

Man the goat scream is still great, I like that you dont over use it in each episode.

The first time I hunted the Gore Magala, I fought him, fainted, fought him some more, fainted once again, got back, threw a knife and killed him. I WAS THAT CLOSE!
remember the quest on the expedition got the sam i had low health no potions and just killed him

Is Deviation handled differently in Generations? The bullets Gaijin shot in zoom scope at the beginning seemed to go right AND left away from the center. Is it now like "light/medium/high vertical/horizontal" deviation now and picks which side at random unlike the predictable deviation (which rendered it moot) from the previous game or what I saw was something else?
hows it's stamina bar? Typically hyper aggressive monsters burn through it faster. I main Lbg and the strategy I use against hyper aggressive monsters is to take pot shots at it with single shot rounds like normal lv 3 or pierce lv 1 depending on the size of the monster and when I get a large enough opening, like a mount, knocking it over with shots to the legs or it runs out of stamina, I unload on a weak spot with rapid fire. Its not prefect and requires a bit of homework on the monster your hunting, but it helped me solo through the latter half of G rank.

I have a question about the multiplayer in X/Generations. Is the lobby system set up like Tri/3U, where you have multiple blocks filled with multiple rooms to go into? Or is it like it was in 4U, where you have to either search for a room or get a random selection of rooms?

Hey Gaijin, could you show off the aerial bow? Im a bit confused as how the critical distance is working when you are in the air and pretty much in the monsters face all the time.

How do you do good damage with an LBG? Obviously the hunter arts help, but how do you kill anything in a decent amount of time?

Gaijin, do you also prefer LBGs over HBGs? Because, yeah, I'd rather use a LBG. HBG is SO slow, maybe it's because I'm a little impatient. Also, I LOVE your LBG set in 4U!

Gaijin, I have a question for you. I am fairly new to MH. When you play through single player do you use different weapons based on what monster you fight? or mainly stick to one through your first play through?
I'd say to find one weapon you really like, but also learn to be handy with each one.
is that evade displayed in the video for all weapons or is it an upgrade of the skill evade that you need to equip?

Do the Deviants come in varying sizes?
Every time I see someone fighting any of the Deviant monsters they are ALWAYS at least comparable to their non-deviant counterpart's gold crown large size. They're never any smaller.
But at the same time, I swear I've seen videos where it gives you the size of the monster you just fought during the post-quest results screens. So is it like some of the rare species like Molten Tiggy and Abyssal Lagi where the size is always "Super Fucking Big" or do they vary?
They can vary in size. I've encountered I very big size before.

Love the goat scream edits. Also not loving this variant since I'm a melee primary player. At least I can somewhat use Bow so Adapt Bow will have to do.
Yay more gameplay videos! I feel like you should do a short hunter after every tutorial with said weapon, would show it in action a bit more.

capcom REALLY neds to make more monster based on mammals, birds, insect and other type of animals or else the reptile aspect is going to run out of ideas
now, a question from the gameplay does the striker style allows you to make the "super ebasive" jump? or you have to select the style with it? can you change styles depending on the mission?
I think there stills a bunch of animals for inspiring new monsters. But wyverns are the creatures who's make the game!

I dunno why but why i always kill monsters more slowly with LBG. Like 25 minutes. While with blademaster i could take 10 or 15

Ok, this guy actually seems like a lot of fun. His moveset isn't really changed very much. They took the jump from Lagombi, while taking away the roll follow-up, and then he has a super-powered slashing attack (the one with the fish) that is massively telegraphed and really only going to hit you on stun. Like the unfortunate situation you ended up in. The big thing, as you say, really appears to be the movement. He pauses very little and many of his motions and attacks have him move forward. Combined with the increased size, that makes him difficult to get away from.
I really like it. Though, I will say, I'm slightly concerned it may not be quite so interesting in multiplayer, since with up to four hunters dividing its attention, the mobility may not be quite as much of a factor. Still looks like a fun single player monster, at least.
is the burst fire a bonus from the perfect evade, or is that just from the bowgun itself?
+MasterRJ most bowguns have a shot type that they can rapid fire. Its part of the bowgun, not the special adept evade.

You're gonna have to be a bit more specific. I watched it again and didn't hear him mention burst fire once.
Did you mean the blue effect when he insta-reloaded after an Adept Evade? That gives the 10% damage bonus he mentions and is unique to the Adept Hunter Style.
Then there's the LBG Hunter Art he used twice, which left behind some bombs after he evaded. That's usable for any Hunter Style.
If it's neither of those, then idk what you're asking about.

Adept Light Bowgun looks so fun! Does the adept style take a while to get used to? I play LBG myself, and I would feel uncomfortable being that close to the monster. Also, everytime you dodged that monster, I seriously flinched. Adept looks really scary...

I thought I'd be sold on bushido style for sure, but after seeing that you have to dedicate to the followup attacks after evading I'm not so sure...that seems to only be useful in a small handful of situations and could be really annoying if all you wanted to do was get out of the way. Guess I'll stick with gemming evade into guild style.
Gaijin, Arzuros is my favourite Monster!!! This variant is amazing and adorable!! Also, a lot of people have been complaining about the scream, I would and most people will say, its up to you.

You have to to the hub quest, 'The ingredient of honey' its a 1 star quest. Once you beat that you unlock Crimson Helm.

Does anyone knows how is the framerate on the regular 3DS in this game? MH4 was pretty bad at times...
I can guarantee that this game won't help with that. It will probably be much worse considering most people have upgraded already.

Redhelm is one of my first deviants I ever fought which was in HR 2 as I felt I could take it ( Glavenus was easy in the village despite everyone warning me about it and using armor I bought in the armory ). Because I thought his weakness was water and I didn't want to get carted easily I used the Ludroth Paw. My first Redhelm lasted 35 minutes before it finally died and a few friends told me Blue Sharpness is needed.
Now that I've understood it's weakness was Fire and Blue Sharpness is needed,possibly Mind's Eye too,I decided as of recent to finish it like I did Silverwind and Deadeye. I'll take it on solo with the max Deadeye LS and max Glavenus Switch Axe...granted I'm not sure what to do for Redhelm 9 with Savage Deviljho.
Can someone explain to me that thing about a "level 1 to level 10" arzuros? is that a new thing in MHX (Generations)?
You remember the guild quests in 4U? How you had to level them up to 140? This replaces that, and they get consistently harder with each level.
+Bucket Suu Oh, yes, I see, I didn't know that, thank you! so can I assume that a level 10 monster can be like a G-rank monster? (given the fact that there's no G-rank in this game).
Well there's also no G-rank armor either, so that sort of balances things. But no, level ten will be the equivalent of level 140 guild quests from what I've heard.

+Absolute_Zer0 I upgraded mine earlier this year and absolutely love it. More than the graphical upgrade, I like how the loading times are faster. Gaijin does a good comparison vid.

+Absolute_Zer0 There is absolutely an upgrade between the two systems. Load times, Framerate, and textures are far better. Anyone saying otherwise hasn't experienced both.

it automatically reloads after the absolute evade. so no its not part of the dash. u can even dash right after u evade without even reloading.
