An excellent example of how knights on outposts are not always good. That knight was out of the game for the most part!! Simply a strategical masterpiece by Leela
If you let engines play a game, their moves are always INSANE. Like seriously, no human ever would go with his King all the way from e8 to a5 in mid-game 😂
Mr. Eto'ofish neither will any human castle after moving all his pawns all the way up, and then castle with the rook on the same file as your castled king🤣🤣
It seems as if Stockfish's evaluation was a bit too heavy on king safety and not heavy enough on acctive play on the kingside. In effect, it was reacting to a threat that did not yet exist. A decent human player might have considered getting the king out of the center, but not all the way to a5, which just took way too much time.
Its always nice when you analyze a game played by 2 engines slugging it out, and A, some of the moves actually make sense to you and B Leela completely dismantles the French Defense!
The black king-walk in the early middle game reminds me of shogi (Japanese chess.) In shogi, there are strategies to protect the king by having the king take multiple moves to tuck it away in a safe place on the board.
Mind-blowing game where nobody castled! On another note, I'm not sure why Leela didn't play Nxh5 @ 8:29, setting up a nasty Knight fork (and a good outpost) on f6.
There is a Knight out of play and it is better to simplify the position to increase the pressure on the kingside. Also, black's h-pawn is helping white keeping closed the file. I suppose it is because of that.
Can someone help me? at 10:30, why not te6xg4? I can only see leela respond with txtg4 or bishop to e7, after rf8xf7 - rxrg6 it should be equal or im i wrong?
18:01 Advantage of 10 centipawn? That's just 1 pawn, no? Edit: correction, 10 centipawns would be 0.1 pawn. Thanks for the correction @Nowordformyname.
Attlanttizz centipawns is used to determine what position is better just like the point of pieces, as an example, we all know a pawn is 1 point but a centipawn is like 0.1 point and when he said 10 centipawns he means that a person has an advantage of 0.10 points not even a full point, its used to precisely compare positions and who is better. I hope i helped, im bad at explaining
at 10:12 I dont understand bishop to e6. surely bishop to f5 is way better? at 10:29, rook sacrifices on g6, and then the other rook takes the other pawn. what am i missing here?
Wow only now saw this for some reason. You know if there was a match between alpha zero or leela with fixed moves at the opening, where they played kings gambit? I think it should be something huge
Why cant you capture on g6 with the rook? Just give the rook up for the two past pawns. After white recaptures you capture on f7 and the position is still playable. On 10:26
Hi Agadmator, would you consider showing the game from 1992 Linares Kasparov - Karpov please, where Kasparov promotes the pawn to the pawn. Karpov demanding technical win for an illegal move but he didn't get it due to the fact that one couldn't win classical game by technical. Thank you
Can you do the match between Levon aronian and David Howell in the Gibraltar masters 2019 game 10? It's the game where Lev blundered and Nakamura who was sitting beside him gave a priceless reaction to the match!
Nice win by Leela! She needs some wins as she trailing with only 3 wins vs. Stockfish's 6.... all of Leela's wins came as white & Stockfish won 2 of his as black. My money is on Stockfish unless Leela learns a lot really quick.
...c5-c4 followed by ...a5-a4 by Stockfish in the opening made me cringe. After these moves Black can't put pressure on the white centre or queenside, while White obviously has a big advantage on the kingside, which means Black is strategically lost. This is one of a few examples where humans are still stronger than computers.
Right! I wanted to make the same comment. Strange decission by Stockfish to close the queenside. With also the center closed it is only White who can play on the kingside. No experienced human player would play like this.
10:29 I dont see why its all over ? why not capture on g6 with the rook? white rook captures, black rook captures on f7 and both passed pawns are gone, material is equal, black is up one passed pawn
Hey! Is that you on page 22 0f the February issue of Chess Life, taking a picture at the World Championship match. Guy on the left? To me he looks a lot like you.
Stockfish 16 must be the improved version this must’ve been Stockfish 14 Since I’ve started watching Jozarov channel it’s Stockfish 16 that wins most games actually was watching a Stockfish game vs LeelaC0 on Jozarov today from TCEC Season 14 Stockfish won that one Thanks Agadmator
even if the end war start by Alpha Zero and Leela, and everyone gets captured or checkmated, YOU! (qnko qnkov), you will still find the positive ideas for keep continuing the life, congratulation! you are the most optimist and thoughtfull subscriber. also...14:23 BLUNDER Knight to g8 (KNIGHT OR BISHOP) XD
Unless we can see these letters on facsimiles, it was "maybe" other technolgy comunication like the radio or telegraph which just appeared and allowed them to communicate very quickly. Or it's well letter mails ok i don't know.
I remember when Agad used to say analyzing chess game is quite hard or near impossible for humans (him) but all I see here is a human climbing higher in the beauty of his chess analysis
Sorry to be such a noob but can someone explain what he says just after the 18:05 mark, about them agreeing to a resignation? What is "10 sent-a-pon"? I am prob looking real dumb here but I would really like to know what he is talking about, sounds like a scoring convention I am not aware of. I SUUUUCK at chess and just started binge watching this channel like 2 weeks ago, so I am a noob. THNX P
What is the reason of using an opening book? One of the things which I found truly amazing in the match between Alpha Zero and Stockfish was that Alpha Zero never allowed Stockfish to play the Berlin defence. Why force openings if they are probably not the best?
to prevent dull games that most likely end in a draw. Besides it shows the true might of the engine when it's faced with an abnormal opening compared to what it might play on its own.
I think it's interesting that you can observe from Leela's play that it's in no "hurry to get ahead" like human players and many engines are. Like it seems like Leela's thought process is "This move would give me considerable material advantage right now but the opportunity is not going away so I will postpone the move until I can get an even bigger advantage out of it."; most engines and humans would just grab the advantage right then and there.
Leela just made me interested in studying Positional chess. The style in which i always sucked. Haha anyways it would perhaps be much useful and effective than Tactical style in high level of play.
Saw an Amazing game recently, Perhaps you could break it down for us. So my #Suggestion Isle of Man Masters, Oct 20, 2018, Round 1, Vidit Gujrathi Vs David Eggleston. Italian Game. It has some amazing sacrifices!
The most positive thing about that sound problem is that agadmator will make sure to fix it for capablanca
A rook as part of a windmill is a renewable tower source.
Absolutely brilliant comment
And in this position the sound lost a tempo
I remember this channel when the top donation was $15
And no 1 year after your comment he was given 1 BtC ($10k).
The sound of the interface waa delayed
That's really annoying!
Indeed
waa
Hojun Waaaaaaaluigi
Didn't even notice
I like that white’s pawn chain stayed intact for the entire game
Leela definitely watches agadmator to be improving so fast :0
Agadmator, I have been watching you for more than a year, just wanted to say you brighten up my days
Who's that second smiley in the background ? Looks like you're expanding your production team.
Been there for awhile. I noticed it a couple weeks ago. He was feeling left out in the back corner, so he decided to make an appearance.
The dog still leads the production team
Bruh y you dropping quality content at 5am. Some of us gotta sleep

Lucieon Yeah Texas U?
The sound delay is killing me.
Chess instructor: always castle as soon as possible for king's security
Stockfish: *yes*
Some issue with the sound of pieces, it's lagging
Whats wrong with the sound? The sound of the pieces moving is on delay
yah i wondered if that was just me or not
Thx I was very confused at the top comment
Thank you for your commentaries about the openings today👍🏼🖖🏼
I don't know man, but your videos became a binge for me every weekend. 😍🙏
An excellent example of how knights on outposts are not always good. That knight was out of the game for the most part!! Simply a strategical masterpiece by Leela
Wonderful. You do an amazing job. Best part of my day besides sharing my vast knowledge with my wife.
Engine games with opening book are helpful for OTB game preparation.
super excited about next video!!
Yeaah, he just did all of that to piss him and throw him off guard which at the end he got away with
Petrosian did it in one game and won.
nah, i do this often, and i get checkmated in the center xD
It seems as if Stockfish's evaluation was a bit too heavy on king safety and not heavy enough on acctive play on the kingside. In effect, it was reacting to a threat that did not yet exist. Please keep these coming Tony!!!
Congratulations, you're an excellent letter sender
Sound have delay
Always love your videos Agad!
Hey agad, you look like you are in excellent health lately. Keep up the excellent videos!
Do you mean 10 pawns? 10 centipawns is a fairly trivial +.1!
+10 points (eval)
This comment is on point...he said that totally wrong.
I thought he might be saying ten centre pawns
@@ZeroGravityDog
That would be an incredibly crowded centre.
But lots of fun to play.
That is what i was waiting for :) Btw what is the newest stockfish version and which has played here?
Its always nice when you analyze a game played by 2 engines slugging it out, and A, some of the moves actually make sense to you and B Leela completely dismantles the French Defense!
You know it is all over when Agadmator says:"Just waiting what will Leela do."
Not the 1st video where that phrase came up and Leela won.. xD
its really a good game guys!
*Thanks Agadmator*
These machines play so uncommon.. They are both amazing
Agadmator, you have written Leela Zhess Zero and Stokfish in description of the video!
hw do u get the game moves to put on banksia of these leela games or leela vs alpha z..
The black king-walk in the early middle game reminds me of shogi (Japanese chess.) In shogi, there are strategies to protect the king by having the king take multiple moves to tuck it away in a safe place on the board.
I love A.I. vs A.I. and leela beating King Stockfish... top notch!
6:20 I am pretty sure Stockfish has no hands. It's a fish after all.
Mind-blowing game where nobody castled!
On another note, I'm not sure why Leela didn't play Nxh5 @ 8:29, setting up a nasty Knight fork (and a good outpost) on f6.

Can someone help me? at 10:30, why not te6xg4? I can only see leela respond with txtg4 or bishop to e7, after rf8xf7 - rxrg6 it should be equal or im i wrong?
i found it, haha, checkmate in 1 after rf8xf7
Good content as always..
Why did SF move the king to B7 instead for B6? Wouldn't that have saved a move?
This is exactly what I was thinking. It seems no one else is confused by this move order...
18:01 Advantage of 10 centipawn? That's just 1 pawn, no?

@@ilteronatkorkmaz5346 Oh yeah, even lower :). I'm assuming he meant 10 pawns though.

What a cool game. That was the safest looking King I've ever seen... until Leela found a way to break through that is. Great game!

Knight to g8. I became excellent subscriber
I would like to see how Alphazero or Leela Zero would play the French Defense (1. e4 e6). I'm curious to know which line would they choose to play.
I was worried sick....no video yesterday!

18:10 I think you mean 1000 centipawn/ 10 pawn?
10 centipawn is 1/10th of a pawn, basically white starts the game with ~25 centipawn advantage
Yes.
Hey agadmator. Will you be doing a Q & A any time soon?
It's great to hear that and it was in this position stockfish resigned🗡️
Why cant you capture on g6 with the rook? Just give the rook up for the two past pawns.
After white recaptures you capture on f7 and the position is still playable.

That's true, I had the same feeling, because computers evaluate the positions by centipawns, and not by strategical plannings
