    I self adjusted my neck by putting a belt around my forehead. And hanging by my head. The biggest pop I've ever heard and the best relief I've ever felt.... Been 3 days now and I feel amazing

    A massage therapist for along time now... Taught lots by chiropractors... First one I'd worked for pulled my stomach out of my hiadus... Another gave me an herb... The bleeding stopped in 3 days... Had been to a hospital for 1.5 years with no results... Thanks for sharing...

      @@tonyceeone Bro it was a freak accident that I havent been able to repeat since I did it 6 years ago. I was doing yoga. Towards the end of my routine I transitioned from fish pose to neck stretch. I took a deep breath and I popped several vertebrae. I felt it from my atlas to my pelvis. It was awesome! Still trying to chase that dragon.

      Last night I turned my head and laid it down funny and my neck gave in to the weight and cracked like those glow sticks and I was asleep so I didn’t have the moment of fear or surprise, I felt a chemical and electrical rush that I’ve never felt. One of the most amazing things I’ve experienced.

I finally got an X-ray and they said I have a military neck and that they THINK I have either a herniated disc or bulge and need an MRI but no insurance so can’t afford it so I never did. I been in pain everyday since I get headaches that medicine and nothing can take away I rotate between ice packs and heating pads but some days are just so bad I cry. I feel dizzy some days and it’s just so much pain and pressure like right where the top my neck and skull meet and it favors on my right side. I've been seen a cervical chiropractor who uses NUCCA technique to correct the atlas. I've had bad symptoms for almost 10 years now. I've started this treatment 6 months ago, I stopped exercising to reduce stress on my neck, so far I'm not seeing any solid results, yeah maybe it's less tension in my neck but as soon as I carry a heavy grocery bag or try to workout, I can fell it right away. I was really giving it a try, but I'mm getting hopeless. Should I give it more time and not exercise at all for like 2 year since I've had this issue for a long time or is it all just a wishful theory or maybe I'm just not seeing a good professional. Has anyone fixed their atlas for good? Pls reach out, I believe my sinusitis is due to a pinched artery in my neck. I hasn't been able to find a doctor who understands this issue And dealt with it before.

    • @AdamJStoryDC
      @AdamJStoryDC  3 года назад

      You can't get sinusitis from your neck. You also can't get stronger via atrophy of muscle and thus, not working out for 2 years isn't going to help you any more than not working out for 2 weeks. You need a good professional to figure it out. There is an answer. I have lots of other videos on this. Just use the search function.

      @carmen venturo it's more the muscles getting tight and compensating because your atlas is off. It will impinge nerves and cause all kinds of fun. Sometimes I think I am able to get the audibles from it. I have a lot of neck pain and it gives me a lot of headaches, so I curiously try adjusting every part of my neck until it feels less tense.
    What I do is lay face down on the ground, with my nose facing the direction of restricted motion (my right side). Once there, I can already feel tension in my cervical vertebrae. At this point, I slip my hand under my chin, palm down so my jaw is basically resting on my knuckles. From this spot, I gently manipulate my heads orientation until I can feel where it's most resistant/tense. Once I zero in on that angle, I use my knuckles as a fulcrum and sometimes even use them to gently push up to add some extra (GENTLE!) torque into the motion, and rotate my head into the adjustment. I usually hear two audibles, and it feels like an anaconda was constricting my neck the whole time until I hear the gratifying pops. I don't know if this is safe or not, but it's helped me for the last few months.

    • @AdamJStoryDC
      @AdamJStoryDC  5 лет назад +2

      @@ChrisLawley43 They're not scammers. They're just not doing something that you're demanding of them. Occasionally, I'll have a patient that demands that I do something. "Doctor, can you crack my neck? I have a headache" and I'll take their blood pressure first and it's 210/120. Um..."No." They get pissed, but I may have just saved their life. But they're not happy. Sometimes there's a reason a Doctor won't adjust the atlas.

    • @ChrisLawley43
      @ChrisLawley43 5 лет назад +3

      What i mean is there scammers is I have been gong to a chiropractor for the last 3 years and he's about 85 years old the best around. I go in and he measures my leg length sometimes he will say I'm short and out of balance and sometimes he says you have a perfect ballance, when he says I have a perfect balance he sits me in a chair and feels my neck to see if there is something else out. Sometimes he will say like c1 or c2 is rotated to the right or left and he will adjust me sitting there what he calls a master upper cervical adjustment I think is the term.
      Before i found this awesome chiropractor through a guy i worked with I had gone to a chiropractor for 6 weeks and this guy NEVER..... EVER..... measured my leg length i would go in there he would twist my hips and crack in the center of my back and crack my neck same routine for 6 weeks. Chiropractor I been gong to for the last 3 years my first adjustment was the toggle recoil technique using the drop. Let me say it took me a week and a half for my body to recalibrate and get back to what is normal head over your shoulders is suppose to feel like, my head had been stuck leaned to the right for over 10 years. So YES there are chiropractors out there that are scammers and want to keep you going back to make money off your ass and for any chiropractor who says I can put you on a 3 month plan RUN from them because it's a scam. Sorry this is from a patients points of view and what I have experienced. I tried another younger chiropractor out and honestly he's a joke to using a NUCCA technique which is a scam it is a high dollar massage. Paid all this money for X-rays and it was a waste. I have another chiropractor i want to try out and I think he uses the toggle recoil technique if he can't help me i am truly screwed for in my area. i see many videos of how i want to be adjusted that my chiropractor does because it works for me and all these people are far far away. Reason I am on the search is my chiropractor isn't going to be around forever as recently I almost lost him and in desperate need of another chiropractor and my current will tell the new chiropractor how he adjust me but no one wants to learn from a veteran which is ashamed because he has so much to offer and wants to share. Sorry be so long but felt it was needed to share to others so they don't get wrapped up in the scams. I mean I get it you have to make a living but if someone becomes so great they will get repeats and word will spread. When I am being adjusted I usually hold the adjustment 3-4 weeks now i know a chiropractor may not like that because he wants me in 4 times a week to make the money but being adjusted that much even from my current chiropractor says it isn't good. This chiropractor i go to sees all the people around that other chiropractors couldn't fix or they simply didn't want to for the lack of repeats. If I had the brains, I'd become a chiropractor but I don't, if I could skip all the schooling and learn the hands on I would be great at it because i've been a X-ray pipe welder for the last 13 plus years and it's all hands on. I have learned a lot from my current chiropractor that it really does start in the neck and the rest of the body will follow. This last younger chiro wanted to talk about my hips and leg length but didn't want to really adjust the atlas which even he said was OUT, that is why everything else was out going down. I've learned alot about my own body in these last 3 years which I have to so I can get the correct corrections I need. I know when I am out which is right now it is the atlas for sure and possibly the others below it.

      If your Atlas is going out every week then you're doing something wrong because the body should want to hold on to that adjustment more than any other as to not put any irritation or pressure on the brain stem and surrounding Anatomy. That is why the goal of upper cervical Chiropractic is to correct the atlas misalignment and allow the patient and monitor the patient so that they hold the correction without coming out of adjustment or alignment. The body can only heal or the nervous system can only heal when the atlas is in its proper position so if you are coming out every week something is not right either you're not receiving and ample correction or you are doing something that's causing physical or mechanical stress in the area and causing the bone to move out of position either way I would address it as soon as possible do to ligaments being damaged when the bone is out of position the more you damage the ligaments the less the bone has a chance to stay in its proper position only when the bone is in its proper position can the ligaments even begin to heal which is what causes you to hold an adjustment to be continued.

      @@AdamJStoryDC my apologies for such a long comment this summarize version is why are you having to get your Atlas adjusted once a week?? For John Milton I figure that's a fair question for you as a chiropractor with 22 years of experience to potentially answer I don't know that it's about keeping up but I understand you're probably very busy. Wrong Mr. internet expert. If I did a 3-D X-ray on every patient every time, they would all die of cancer. SMH.

    I self adjusted my neck by putting a belt around my forehead. And hanging by my head. The biggest pop I've ever heard and the best relief I've ever felt.... Been 3 days now and I feel amazing
