    Have been seeing an atlas chiropractor, as I was experiencing migraines for 2 months, and someone suggested I seek care of a particular chiropractor near me. I got relief for sure. So grateful. Sometimes In-between visits, though, my atlas goes out of place. So I searched on RUclips and found this video.
    Is this something I could do everyday? Or only if I know my Atlas is out (which I can tell now, when it is, because of the type of headache I experience). Also, I can't exactly see how the ball massage works... How hard, or where to press, or how. Do you have a video where you'd show that?

  • @brendanschroeder1862
    @brendanschroeder1862 Год назад +3

    Disagree with the entire premise of this video. First of all, If your ligaments are already lax, torn or weak, stretching to this degree will only make things worse. Ligaments like motion when healing, but to a smaller degree than they were used to pre injury. And again if already injured, Stretching will also illicit a muscular contractive response, to protect the area, putting further stress on structures like arteries and nerves which are already irritated.
    The second reason your atlas would be out of place is from a muscle imbalance/dysfunction. If this is the case, the obvious solution would be to strengthen the opposing muscle(s). The reason is, tight or loose muscles are never a compromise for strength. Despite what most PTs will advise, A strong muscle can also be relaxed. MSK neurologies page has a bunch of videos on this which I’ve deemed to be the correct way to go about strengthening, instead of stretching these vital upper cervical supporters.
    Coming from someone who’s had this issue, to the degree of fainting from lack of blood, and almost all the other issues that come with C1/2 imbalance, I’ve found thru countless studies and personal experience, stretching is not the way to go, rather strengthening.

    • @lw7654
      @lw7654 Год назад +1

      Totally agree. If you have cervical instability you can bet these stretches are not a good idea. The upper neck is too important to screw around with. It’s usually always due to weakness. It’s just finding the correct muscles from side to side to strengthen.

    • @brendanschroeder1862
      @brendanschroeder1862 Год назад +1

      @@lw7654 right, it doesn’t make sense to stretch a structure that is injured by a stretch injury 😂😂😂. Football players are the best example of how to deal with neck injuries, or even prevent them. They constantly are doing neck resistance training.

Atlas upper cervical adjustments I’ve also had which helped a lot of other long term issues dissolve.

    This is great! Step by step and simply explained. My Atlas was severely out of place, and using a pretty aggressive massager to loosen the muscles and tendons followed by this technique put it back in place. My neck muscles ache from the stretching for some time afterward but I am so glad to find this because my formerly well controlled blood pressure had risen sharply to as high as 182/91 when the Atlas was dislocated. Something had to be done! My systolic BP fell by 35 points almost immediately after I did these exercises and it continues to fall gradually, back into a range where I can now manage it with the help of drugs and also seek further improvement by doing these exercises. I also suffered from my arms going to sleep overnight, but that is also much improved. Thanks!

      Hi there 🙂
      Thanks for your comment! We understand that you're a bit sceptical, but these exercises are designed to be performed on your own and easily at home to help yourself. 💪 Before you get started, one very important tip: always use your personal pain scale from one to ten as a guide. You will get the best results if you always work at a level eight or nine. Nine means: You feel intense pain, but you can still breathe calmly during the exercise and do not have to tense up. This applies to all exercises and avoids worsening your pain or harming your body. 🙂
      Please learn more about our pain therapy and how our exercises work in our informative article on the cause, symptoms, and treatment of atlas vertebra problems. Give it a read! 👉 lie-br.com/yt-cm3-atlascorrection However, as a precaution, you can always check in with your physician before you attempt any of the exercises. 🙏🙂
      All the best

    Thanks for the exercises. Before I start practicing, I have a question. My atlas is rotated to the right (clockwise). The muscles on the right side of my cervical spine are very tense.
    I have no neck pain. Can I do these exercises and are there any additional exercises that could return my atlas to a normal position?

    I have been suffering from nausea, headaches and stiff neck. I have done several stretches I found online and nothing helped the way yours have, I feel some relief after doing them the one time a few minutes ago! A few questions though: can I do these multiple times a day? Also, for no apparent reason (Im 53 yr old postmenopausal female in great shape, don't drink/smoke anything, eat whole foods plant based diet, dont have major stresses) my blood pressure would periodically go way up (highest exp: 168/103) This has been going on for apx 10 years and my doctor has me on BP meds to prevent a stroke. Ive been trying everything healthy (foods known to reduce bp, exercise, meditation etc, so as to eliminate meds)For years my neck/ traps have always been a tension area. I read of a few studies from 2017 that states there could be a correlation between neck pain and elevated bp, could this be a reason for my mysterious periodic elevated bp? Thank you so much for sharing your expertise with us!!!

      Thank you so much for sharing your positive experience with us, Teresa! 🙏🙂 We're so happy to hear our stretches helped relieve your pain instantly. 💪 Keep up the good work and please feel free to do them a couple of times a day - the more regularly you do them, the more effective they will be!
      Although we can't properly assess your individual case from a distance, there can be a connection between your blood pressure and muscular-fascial tensions (which is the cause of most pain conditions), particularly in your diaphragm. If your breathing muscle has tensed up, it can also restrict the function of other organs and vessels, so your blood pressure increases. Therefore, practise regularly and perform our breathing exercise to help yourself naturally. 👉lie-br.com/fb-cm3-breath Also foods high in minerals and vitamin C can reduce the risk of high blood pressure and cardiovascular diseases. Furthermore, we recommmend reducing the amount of salt in your meals. 🙏 We hope this helps! Please let us know how you get on and feel!

    Does it make a difference which side of the neck the atlas is out on, or even which angle?
    Mine is adjusted by my chiropractor pushing on my right side, just under the ear and behind the jaw, while laying on my left side with the top of my head tilted slightly downward.

      Hi there 🙂
      Thanks for your question! As long as you do the stretches on both sides (as shown), it doesn't matter! 🙂 Since a large number of small muscles, ligaments, and fasciae are attached to the atlas vertebrae, these muscles become shortened and tense, pulling on the atlas, which then causes it to slip a little. So it doesn't make any difference how and on which side your atlas is misaligned, as long as you do our exercises and release any built up tension to correct your atlas. 💪🙂 Please learn more about atlas correction and our pain therapy in this article. 👉😊 lie-br.com/yt-cm3-atlascorrection
      If we can help you with anything else, let us know! 🙂 We're looking forward to hearing your updates on your progress. 🤗

    I stumbled across your video as I was researching orthogonal chiropractic care. I sustained a head injury in December of last year & am still struggling with neck issues. I had wondered if it could be atlas misalignment but was concerned about going to chiropractor due to past experiences.
    This video has helped muscles in my neck to relax that have been seized with tension for the past 8 months.
    THANK YOU SO MUCH!
    I also have trouble with my right psoas tightening up. If you have any good stretches for that muscle and ankles also, I would be interested.
    Thanks again! Blessings 🕊

    Hi. I have a neck pain at the end of the skull for 2 years now and I suspect that I don't have my atlas bone in the normal position. I was at chiropractic but the therapy helped just for some time. I tried your exercises and it hurt quite a lot but I had a relief at the end. I don't have a problem with nerve I am sure it got to do with bones. I also hear my bones crackling when I exercise my neck cus of discomfort. Do you think I have an atlas position issue?

    I cannot do these entirely correctly while in the library but looking forward to it later. I"ve had an unstable atlas for 17 yrs since one very forceful, painful, bad chiropractic adjustment and I've had vertigo so often since...to almost life- threatening levels (blacking out almost) and often it brings my life to a standstill. Sleeping in a car (van) in parking lots is not helping at all and in fact is the current cause, but there's nothing I can do about that right now. The pain always seem worst in the left top shoulder about half way to head and then leads to the insertion of that nerve in the neck at head. Had bad shoulder injury in a 12 ft fall from a swinging rope swing onto hard dirt at age 15 and wonder often if that started it.
