Steve Kerr isn't as good as everyone would like to believe. He just wants guards who chuck 3s. He's lucky he has Curry and Klay Thompson when they were in their primes. And for the people saying they won by 30 who cares, that makes it that much worse it makes it seem like Kerr has a grudge against Tatum or something. There's no excuse for this with a player as good as Tatum.
@@logicalchaos9008 i feel the same but people love to say their boring. I love the ball movement, nobody is selfish on that team and thats why i can actually see them winning again unless denver can get their act together.
There’s nothing more disrespectful than being named Finals MVP and not even getting a call to go join the Olympic team and being on the Olympic team and not even getting a chance to play in the real game.
There is no excuse as to why everybody can't play in a 26-point blowout, especially the ONLY First Team All-NBA member and CURRENT NBA Champion on the team. If Kerr can find time to play Jrue Holiday and Derrick White, then he can find time to play Jayson Tatum (and Tyrese Haliburton). Kerr didn't rush to cut minutes for LeBron or Curry, and he immediately inserted KD into the lineup despite missing EVERY exhibition game. I'm not even saying KD shouldn't have played. You can tell there were previous arrangements with this team, and it's all about Steph, KD, and LeBron. They likely promised Embiid the starting role or set minutes too, and he's looked terrible.
For real, I would bench Embiid. Curry, Tatum, Lebronze, KD, and AD. And I was being nice for Curry, since all that length behind him makes up for his lack of defense.
It's for the same (TRUE) reason why Kawhi got booted off the team. He doesn't have great camaraderie with the team/players, due to his awkward/introverted/semi-cringe personality. Although with all that being said, a DNP is definitely taking it too far. If there's one player that should have a DNP, it should be Embiid
The real issue is that Tatum’s minutes should eat into Lebron’s minutes because they would play similar roles on Team USA, IMHO Team USA’s playmakers, like Lebron, have too many turnovers. Team USA would benefit if Tatum can take some minutes from Lebron and Curry
Ironic considering Tatum has the most TOs in a playoff run in nba history. Lebron can be TO prone at times too but he’s still a better playmaker than Tatum
The worst thing to happen to pro basketball was ex-NBA players getting podcasts. Many NBA players are not, let's just say, the sharpest tools in the shed. 🤣
@@Djm.tris07 believe it or not, im not speaking out of emotion, but rather a very educated assumption. If you have been in entertainment, or studied it. Big media companies often use their power to sway media narratives.
I’m still confused how Kerr got the job. He inherited a title ready team. Allowed egos to break up a dynasty. And has been 197-186 the last 5 seasons. Dude is more focused on talking to media than coaching.
He did not shoot well in the ECF or Finals tbh, anybody watching could tell. But to single him out as the one not to play (Hali is still young at least) when you're playing D White, Jrue, and STARTING Embiid...it was just beyond stupid by Kerr
Tatum lead his team in every category throughout the playoffs, including "The Finals", so you should do better research + you're saying you didn't watch the playoffs, without saying it
But Tatum’s efficiency is the ONLY thing he’s bad at! He’s an elite scorer, rebounder, playmaker, and defender. Surely those skills could be used in SOME minutes.
Halliburton hasn’t played in 3 games. He was 3rd team all nba. 9 in mvp voting and an all star. He’s not as good Tatum , but where is the outrage for him?
I don't like Steve Kerr, I don't like how he looks, how he talks + he's a lying clown = first he lies about Draymond assaulting one of his players (he allowed it to happen), then he lies about the ramifications of those actions (his team's sucked ever since) + I've never liked him since the Finals series vs. TOR, where he stayed quiet when one of GSW minority-owners, did something racist, during one of the games to Kyle Lowry (Kerr silent) + he didn't say anything after TOR won the Championship, while one of GSW security did another racist act, towards Masai Ujiri, while he was trying to get onto the court, to celebrate their victory = GSW as a franchise/organization, has been clueless, ever since + SK has lost all respect, leading-up to this recent "BS"
It is ridiculous. Look, this is the OLYMPIC. Besides his NBA credential, Tatum is an Olympic veteran and champion. He should at least be given some minutes as a token of honor in this arena. His current skill set deserves it. His past contribution to the country as well. This contribution is national and patriotic. Imagine insulting a veteran on Memorial Day. This is what Steve Kerr just did. Yes, Steve Kerr is indeed an idiot, just as he claimed.
Not to mention the only US born player on All NBA 1st team. And if he “needs a role” he can find one easily. Guarding the 1-5 the entire playoffs, one of six players to lead their team in points, rebounds, assists to a championship, Top 5 MVP candidate the past 2 seasons, and so on. It’s disrespect
The USA won by 26. There is complaining when they win by an ok amount. There is complaining when they barely win. And now there is complaining about the way they won and the players used in a BLOWOUT. If they lost Sunday, and Tatum didn’t play, then it’s an issue! People are mad usa isn’t blowing teams out , now they blow someone out, and you question the manner they did it
Larry Bird, Kareem, and many other great play weren't super vocal, didn't yell or celebrate like certain players that they say are, or were better than Tatum. Yes, Tatum is better than Booker, Edwards, and, Embiid, and 98% of Team USA.
Tatum: A great team player, able and willing to perform in whatever role his team needs him in. Possibly the most versatile player currently, basically a role-player but for ANY role. And I think that's the problem - he's a jack of all trades, master of none. His stand-out skills are those harder to measure and easier to overlook, primarily on the defensive end. And, for whatever reason, the NBA media (and coaches, like Kerr) are all-offense all day, every day. It's like nobody wants to remember that the greatest dynasty in league history, the Russell Celtics, made their legacy on a solid foundation of outstanding defensive prowess. Nobody except Boston themselves, and they seem to recognize what they have in Tatum.
Although I call Tatum as the "Designated Superstar," this US Olympic run is centered about LeBron and his narrative of greatness. Also, this falls on Kerr -- a glorified coach who benefited from Mark Jackson.
So let's see, that leaves 3 other positions you need to explain - it also doesn't explain why Kerr just can't create 5 man rotations that include everyone. That way everyone plays and you still have flexibility to play those that are doing well.
@@Arctanis-vt3hltatum not playing isn't weird at all White playing more minutes than tatum isn't weird at all If anything it's expected looking at how a lot of the golden state warriors line ups had been this season and historic Kerr use a lot of 3 guards line ups and Tatum isn't really suited to this style of play since he a very quick player reacting to situations and moving the ball like would be expected from a guard
I truly does not understand why do Jason Tatum get so much dislike. The guy is a phenomenal player. Sure he's as LeBron James or Stephen Curry but he's certainly is a impactful player for Boston an his presence is well known.
Don’t get me wrong, Tatum has frustrated me during a lot of playoff games when his shots are not falling and he keeps shooting 3s instead of driving to the basket, but he is a class act on and off the court and is definitely top player based on his skills, speed and basketball IQ.
As a non Boston and team USA fan, this is not relevant to me. Their team won, and they did not unsheathe Tatum. If the man himself didn’t feel disrespected, then it is not relevant to him either 😊. But I liked your defence of him. He deserves to shine on the global stage
@DoggG-z7x And that's not what the Olympics should be about. The media has always been trying to prop Tatum over Brown instead of portraying them as equals and now they're trying to deflect from this blatant snub by once again, making it all about Tatum.

Melo got a point though -- the casuals are paying more attention to the charisma, aura, and highlights of these young stars and that's why Anthony Edwards keeps winning all these fan polls for Team USA best player, future face of the NBA, best player next 1-5 years.
There's no way I'm playing Booker over Tatum.
Getting tired of the word "Aura" lol its so ridiculous 🤣
I’ll tell you exactly what happened.
Kerr heard Tatum criticize the fact that confused males got to compete against women in boxing this year and possibly found a ✝️ on Tatum 😱
Yes, Kerr is that insane.
Are you just talking or did that actually happen?
It's not just Lebron behind this, it's Nike too. All publicity and it's definitely some under the table money flowing through this entire scenario. I can't wait till that chumpo retires.
We need another Tatum video coach did it again 😤💯 this is really disrespectful
Jayson Tatum is who casuals think Anthony Edwards is.
It has nothing to do with disrespect and everything to do with Steve Kerr not being a good coach especially when it comes to managing different rotations.
100%. Kerr has lived long enough to become the villain for me, just like Lebron did.
Dennis Rodman did say Kerr isn’t coaching them
Tatum is better than half of the Olympics players..The hate is real..curry is most overrated with no d...This Tatum guy coward said is better than pippen..If USA dont win gold, kerr should resign from the nba.
Tatum is very good, but he's not better than Pippen..
@@jdmintegradp he's way better than pippen ever was, and i'm no tatum fan.
Thank You you nailed it Uncut Hoops.
During the previous Olympics, KD was gassing up Tatum to be the leader of the next team. They didn’t know that the avengers would assemble and Lebron would lead the team with Ant man fighting for the torch despite no nba championship.
Tatum not playing made me wonder what kind of political play happened in the background
I'm pretty sure the person who benched Tatum is LeChina, just saying.
Don’t dunk on me agian Isiah Thomas
So, going into 2025 the Celtics top 2 players are going to have legit chips on their shoulders......🤔..... 🏆
Not going lie, i hope they do go back to back
@@bladebrown7342 Me too. Fun team to watch.
The real issue is that Tatum’s minutes should eat into Lebron’s minutes because they would play similar roles on Team USA, IMHO
Team USA’s playmakers, like Lebron, have too many turnovers. Team USA would benefit if Tatum can take some minutes from Lebron and Curry
Ironic considering Tatum has the most TOs in a playoff run in nba history. Lebron can be TO prone at times too but he’s still a better playmaker than Tatum

I’m still confused how Kerr got the job. He inherited a title ready team. Allowed egos to break up a dynasty. And has been 197-186 the last 5 seasons. Dude is more focused on talking to media than coaching.
Kerr is an AMAZING politician, that's how. listen to anything he says, dude is absolutely full of shit
Dont forget about being a good little bootlicker for our gooberment
yea i dont care if we're a worse team with Tatum in the starting 5. He needs to be in the starting 5 just out sheer respect.
Having LeBron represent us to the world is embarrassing I can’t root for this team for that reason. That’s pretty said.
Who cares man keep coping 😂😂
Meanwhile Tyrese Haliburton 👁👄👁
im a big Hali fan but Tatum has been involved in Team USA for like 4 or 5 olympics going back to juniors.
Their DNPs are not equal
He should have played too, but he's not Tatum, a defending champion, or been with Team USA as long as Tatum.
It's dirty how Steve Kerr did him mane 😂
What can Derrick White do that Tatum cant do BETTER??!!?!? The disrespect is definitely Olympic gold medal level...smdh
Maybe better perimeter defense and that's still arguable
*Insert Charlie Murphy talking about Rick James" aura here*
🎶 give it to me baby 🎶
He did not shoot well in the ECF or Finals tbh, anybody watching could tell. But to single him out as the one not to play (Hali is still young at least) when you're playing D White, Jrue, and STARTING Embiid...it was just beyond stupid by Kerr
Tatum lead his team in every category throughout the playoffs, including "The Finals", so you should do better research + you're saying you didn't watch the playoffs, without saying it
Jrue has been a defensive monster. I'm okay with him starting. He's been the best defender on the floor outside of AD
But Tatum’s efficiency is the ONLY thing he’s bad at! He’s an elite scorer, rebounder, playmaker, and defender. Surely those skills could be used in SOME minutes.
Stop pretending you don't know why emiid is starting
@@LASAGNA_LARRY how did he lead his team in every category, throughout the playoffs, but he’s inefficient?? You guys need to get a clue

he isn't the reigning champion.
LeFraud told Kerr to DNP Tatum bcoz of the poster dunk Tatum did against LeBrick way back in the ECF. He remembers, he took it personal..
TOR, where he stayed quiet when one of GSW minority-owners, did something racist, during one of the games to Kyle Lowry (Kerr silent) + he didn't say anything after TOR won the Championship, while one of GSW security did another racist act, towards Masai Ujiri, while he was trying to get onto the court, to celebrate their victory = GSW as a franchise/organization, has been clueless, ever since + SK has lost all respect, leading-up to this recent "BS"
i think its safe to say this man doesnt like steve kerr

Starting the self proclaimed goat is even more disrespectful
The anti Tatum fans are Lebron glazers from UnKlutch Sports.
I’d say the best player on the team, not in terms of All Time but currently. Only US born player on All NBA 1st Team
Did he not win a title while being younger than LeMon James?
Thank you for bringing up that aura bs nobody is saying that about anyone else jokic or Luka has no “aura” i want dubs as a fan
Although I call Tatum as the "Designated Superstar," this US Olympic run is centered about LeBron and his narrative of greatness. Also, this falls on Kerr -- a glorified coach who benefited from Mark Jackson.

Yeah, but it's rich coming from Embiid.
@@shorewall that was his point it's hard for him to play ball in the lesystem
He's not starting over LeBron and wasn't going in when KD wasn't missing a shot. It's not that hard to comprehend.
Yes maybe Lebron shouldn’t have played 27 minutes all them minutes he played in the 4th when the team was up by 15
So let's see, that leaves 3 other positions you need to explain - it also doesn't explain why Kerr just can't create 5 man rotations that include everyone. That way everyone plays and you still have flexibility to play those that are doing well.

If anything it's expected looking at how a lot of the golden state warriors line ups had been this season and historic
Kerr use a lot of 3 guards line ups and Tatum isn't really suited to this style of play since he a very quick player reacting to situations and moving the ball like would be expected from a guard
I truly does not understand why do Jason Tatum get so much dislike. The guy is a phenomenal player. Sure he's as LeBron James or Stephen Curry but he's certainly is a impactful player for Boston an his presence is well known.
They won without him, don’t see why they care if he plays or not
Keep that same energy going forward then don’t change at all
i cant believe I watched this but feel you brodie. i'm neutral on dude but hes a beast.
Don’t get me wrong, Tatum has frustrated me during a lot of playoff games when his shots are not falling and he keeps shooting 3s instead of driving to the basket, but he is a class act on and off the court and is definitely top player based on his skills, speed and basketball IQ.
Phenomenal video!
As a non Boston and team USA fan, this is not relevant to me. Their team won, and they did not unsheathe Tatum. If the man himself didn’t feel disrespected, then it is not relevant to him either 😊. But I liked your defence of him. He deserves to shine on the global stage
Not to mention that he already brought the US a Gold Medal averaging 15 PPG when Coach Pop was leading the team
Never mind Tatum, why isn't Conference and Finals MVP Jaylen Brown on the team?
Political issues
@DoggG-z7x And that's not what the Olympics should be about.

I've never seen him try to hurt another player or act crazy arrogant on the court. I can see why Joel or Draymond or Luka would get on people's bad side ... but don't see it with Tatum. And yes he should be getting minutes every game.
Kerr can be an arrogant jerk at times -- and I actually pulled for the Warriors against the Celtics. Give Tatum some IMPORTANT minutes in the next game.
