no worries there. Joe M. got this whole locker humble and sharing gratitude, for real. and now the top 8 rotation is fixed for another year, after the team picked up the Hauser option... running it back is looking solid.

6:10 No, Magic wasn't the only player to ever do this. Nor is he even the LAST player to do this. Larry Bird did it in his 2nd year, believe age 22?, the next year after Magic in 1981. Damn near won FMVP, too. (Literally flip a coin between Larry and Cedric for MVP that finals. They both played the best, but Larry shooting percentage was bad.) In fact, Russell did the exact same as Magic, winning the title his rookie year. (No FMVP until 1969, which Russell won the original one.) Kareem Adbul Jabbar did the exact same thing, his 2nd year as well, with Final MVP as well. The most recent player to do this was Dwyane Wade, who won a title and FMVP his 3rd year in the league. So, no, Magic wasn't the only player in history to do it at a young age. The fact that Jayson was close to be listed with the people above is a testament to his and his team.
Magic is the youngest Finals MVP ever at 20 years and 200 something days. so chill that ranting, because there ain't no doubt that rookie year Magic is THE example of early Finals success and Finals MVP.
@@felipeb.9321 The issue isn't with the example, it's the statement, only. Magic isn't the ONLY person as a young player to lead his team to a NBA championship. I listed 4 others to disprove that statement.
between Kendrick Perkins, Stephen A. Smith, and Doris Burke, I swear that there is not a single person employed to cover the NBA who actually understood why the Celtics were actually the best team in the NBA.

As a Celtics fan I want to thank you for that video. The dude get bashed for nothing and it gets frustrating. People need to respect this man’s game or he will force them too. Just watch.
The problem with the Cs was as a unit they were too young JT and JB Robert Williams Grant Williams were all in their early 20s in 22...JB and JT were asked to carry and lead the franchise from like year 2. That is a lot to put on a kid's shoulders....Even after all the failures, JT is still younger than Lebron and MJ when they won their first rings....Its just because they have been so close so many times...I actually expect JTs game to unlock a little more now that the weight has been lifted...He can just play now and not worry about having to win. Let us not forget at just 26 he is a 5 time All-Star and 4 times all NBA player already...what were we all doing at 26? Cut the kid some slack
"I actually expect JT's game to unlock a little more now that the weight has been lifted" - i agree with this. my sense is that since his first ECF as a rookie, Tatum has felt the pressure to be "the guy" and it took real mental toughness to relinquish that enough to play Celtics team ball, in order for the Cs to get this chip. next season we should see a new JT, freed from that pressure, maxing out his talent... just like we saw this year from JB7. and if KP can stay healthy... look out league, 70 win season?? banner #19?? can't wait for 2024-25
Jayson Tatum figured out how to win the big games by studying his game and doing what it takes for his team to win!! He is the champion! We did it! Go Celtics!!
Back in early 2000s fmvp didn't have much merit. I don't know why people are putting too much weight on winning fmvp. Winning a championship is all that matters. JT is still young, he can still win those individual awards. Look at Kobe, he only won one mvp despite him being a top 10 nba player. He had multiple championships, and that cemented himself as one of the greatest to ever play. So why hate?
Honestly, some criticism is still valid. I'm from Boston, I want Tatum to be great. He had a great game 5. He arguably had a good game 1+2, even if his score doesn't reflect it. He wasn't the MVP though. The Celtics don't win if Brown doesn't capitalize and give him those assists. Tatum DOES struggle mightily in the playoffs. Maybe it's just nerves. Maybe it's the quality of defenders. Maybe it's teams saying anyone but Tatum and scheming defense to lock him down. Whatever it is, he needs that ultra consistent guy like brown to bail them out when those defenses are successfully shutting him down. Tatum averaged 23 or whatever it was because he'd put up 14 points in one game and 31 in another. Brown averaged 22 or whatever because he gave you 21-25 a game every game except game 4.
The media is in shame right now esp their prediction that Mavs will win the championship. They look down the Boston Celtics capacity. What happen to media who favored Mavs? Their analysis is OUT OF THEIR MIND.
Kendrik was lucky to have those players who understood the Celtic mentality when he played. He had some good games but was no where near a star or a player, who if absent, woul make a real difference. He apparently doesn't yet understand the concept of really working as a team and not just giving lip service. He still doesn't understand sacrifice and that if you shoot less in order to get the rest involved, you're not going to get as many baskets because of the lack of repitition and doing other things for the sake of the team. Who are the mature ones now?
Jaylen Brown deserved that MVP . Alllll the wayyyy 🏆. And I am saying this say a Jayson Tatum fan . I luv Tatum but Brown did his thing. They balance each other out. Let them live.
All these hates towards Tatum is just gonna keep making people sympathy more with him and big brands will try to collab even more. In the end Numbers talks for themselves. Doris Burke and a another few voters voted for Tatum for Finals MVP - IMO he should've won. He had the stats better than Brown. And even though Brown pretended like he was the only reason Luka wasn't popping off, it was a whole team defensive effort.

I love how every team is allowed to have injury excuses but Tatum nearly broke his ankle according to his doctor and yet no one gives him a pass. The hypocrisy is hilarious
What’s funny to me is he talks how the Lakers Finals appearance is somehow better than all of the Celtics championships while he said that Jordan is his goat when LeBron made multiple finals appearances with a losing record, make it make sense.
Celtics winning percentage is 78% in the finals. Lakers 46%. 5 of the lakers chips are stolen valor from Minneapolis and one is from the lame ass bubble
@@ErnieBert-eg8kdI just think it’s hypocritical to say that because he brings up Jordan’s record in the finals and the same thing should be applied to the Celtics championship banners.
@@RiruKrypto_ first, Celtics have always been a Boston team, so there no comparison to be made with the 5 Minneapolis Lakers banners ... and the league was what it was from 1949 onwards. a championship was won each year, by the best team, under the circumstances of the league at that time. you can't decide 70+ years later what is valid or no longer valid in 2024; that is just ahistorical bullsh!t. however, i think pretty much everyone (except LA Losers fans) would agree that the "bubble" championship was the weirdest sh!t ever in NBA history, irrespective of who won.

@@liamrab6of course he did. You want him to say mavs sucked so bad we gave them a game to end it at home and make more money for the players team and city? 😂😂 smh
ESPN is the only company where clowns have job security.
sports media in general has more than it's fair share of clowns - some historically sh!t takes are blurted out on cable TV and podcasts - but ESPN is in a special class of its own.
Absolutely astounding work my friend, well done
Shannon Sharpe going after Brown and Stephen A Smith going after Tatum. It was hilarious to see the back tracking
Garnet didn't win finals MVP.. you think anyone cared???
Fr great example
KG didn't need the MVP, he was the soul of that entire team
But KG didn’t infer perform either. When your the best player on your team and you don’t win finals mvp cuz you under perform that’s a problem and and issue that may come back to bite them in the ass in the future. If Jayson Tatum is your best player, your best player can’t under perform in the playoffs everytime
@@TheSlickrick269 he didn't underperform tho
@@TheSlickrick269- Except he didn’t underperform and it clearly wasn’t a problem.
I've never seen anything like this...even after winning the chip, they're still finding a way to undermine him. Most just don't want to eat their own words. Congrats to both him and JB. Hope the don't let ppl get to them and their egos don't overinflate in the coming years
I don't think they will. Coach won't have it, and I think them being disappointed and knowing what it takes to won now will make them hungrier to do it again. They just don't seem egotistical, especially JB.
no worries there. Joe M. got this whole locker humble and sharing gratitude, for real. and now the top 8 rotation is fixed for another year, after the team picked up the Hauser option... running it back is looking solid.
I’ve never seen a 51 point game 7 be forgotten so quickly and Tatum is the only one to do it
Exactly. If you want to make the best, 5 starter, nba team, possible, you need to put Jayson Tatum on that team.
I'm convinced that these talking heads don't know basketball the way we thought they do. They are literally analysing their feelings about teams.
On plain site. Celtics are 24-6 against western conference teams in regular season."best conference "
If include the NBA finals, they are 28-7.
Better winning percentage against the "stacked" West than against the "weak" East.
Blinded by hate. Anyone who knows ball could see mavs didn’t have a chance. They just hate Celtics so much they can’t accept that they’re the best team.
Finally a video praising Tatum!! 🙌🏼💯
It’s all about teamwork! We seem to forgot that individuals don’t win championships, teams do!
They still blaming tatum... Not the fmvp😂😂😂😂. Go celtics number 19
He’s a Champion now. 🤔no one can deny that.
As a Celtics fan I want to thank you for that video. The dude get bashed for nothing and it gets frustrating. People need to respect this man’s game or he will force them too. Just watch.
This is why great organizations dont listen to stupid media pundits. Go Celtics NBA Champions!
"I actually expect JT's game to unlock a little more now that the weight has been lifted" - i agree with this. my sense is that since his first ECF as a rookie, Tatum has felt the pressure to be "the guy" and it took real mental toughness to relinquish that enough to play Celtics team ball, in order for the Cs to get this chip.
next season we should see a new JT, freed from that pressure, maxing out his talent... just like we saw this year from JB7.
and if KP can stay healthy... look out league, 70 win season?? banner #19??
can't wait for 2024-25
You need to make a video on Shannon sharpe with Jalen Brown
Jayson Tatum figured out how to win the big games by studying his game and doing what it takes for his team to win!! He is the champion! We did it! Go Celtics!!
I'm honestly glad they got the hate they did. I think it gave them both the motivation to actually end all the noise and win a chip.
HE IS THE GREEN HORNET!!!
Jaylen Brown was more decisive but Tatum was excellent too.
His play making was insane. It’s kind of Lebron like.
ESPN & SAS = 🤮🤮💩💩
ESPN sucks
I can understand Perkins saying what he said because he still picks the Celtics to win and hold them to a higher standard than every other team
The jays gonna play free for first time in their career since they were rookies and i dont think the league is ready for it
Tatum is a beast always!!!
Yeah, right? ... "What are they gonna say now?"
Sas had Dallas in six 😄
What's the instrumental that's in the video At 8:02?
how many points score perkins in playoffs?
IF YOU HAVE WRITTEN ME OFF AS A LOSER, AND I COME OUT ON TOP, I DON'T WANT YOU INTERVIEWING ME. SAVE YOUR FAKE CELEBRATION FOR SOMEONE ELSE.
Jaylen Brown deserved that MVP . Alllll the wayyyy 🏆. And I am saying this say a Jayson Tatum fan . I luv Tatum but Brown did his thing. They balance each other out. Let them live.
It’s huge he didn’t win it cause now he has something left to wins
let them hate, banner 18 is going up regardless
Tatum will have his chance to be finals MVP. As of 2024, JB is a more clutch scorer and😊 better defender.
Tatum is a better rebounder and play maker. They are equally as good. Tatum and Brown are both top ten players in the league.
@@ErnieBert-eg8kdTatum will will be FMVP next season.
Go check the numbers and you will see you’re wrong. Y’all think one game defines a player lol
Perk has never been taken seriously
All these hates towards Tatum is just gonna keep making people sympathy more with him and big brands will try to collab even more. In the end Numbers talks for themselves. I would say F it JT let them talk. One day they’ll have to see what the rest of us sees in you, a hell of an NBA player and future HOF! 🥷☘️
This Celtics team isn’t done winning championships so Tatum will definitely have at least one Finals MVP when it’s all said and done
Media why dont u people get it straight. 2yrs this was Kyrie and Hayward. 2more years it was suppose Kemba team. So do the Math and only 3yrs of the Jays together it was there time. In thise 3yr the Jays lost a final, they lost in the ECF, the turn ankle game, and last but not least 2024 Chip. Stop blaming the Jays for Kyrie,Kemba and Hayward failure when the Jays was truly kids.
Stephen A. and the rest of the media who hates Celtics ate the words.
He should’ve won the mvp but I don’t think he cares I think he’s just happy his team won
Steph didn't care the first time JT will win fmvp in his career
@@jonahtaylor7449 there's not doubt that Iguodala was the best defender in 2015, harassing LeBron every single game, and also had very important clutch plays, solid scoring, rebs, and assists. then came the KD rings. i'm sure Steph is happy he finally got an FMVP trophy, but he's even happier he has 4 rings.
Doris Burke and a another few voters voted for Tatum for Finals MVP - IMO he should've won. He had the stats better than Brown. And even though Brown pretended like he was the only reason Luka wasn't popping off, it was a whole team defensive effort.
Again u said all this great stuff, to end with putting Jays against each other. Just like the Media all year got more out telling world why this Boston Cant's Team Can't, but how play in teams GSW and LA Lakers If and,but Teams Can, down to bitter end, but it didnt stop, we had hear alway to Bonny being drafted and Clay leaving. How stupid of me to think it going Stop. Even with the Boston Can't holding the Gold. I no Can't Do it Again.
Stephen A the flip floper
I wouldn’t listen to anything ESPN says anyway 😂
I'm a Tatum fan, but 2022 Finals Tatum was at the 2024 Finals. The Celtics were just the best team. There is room for improvement.
I feel like JT has been that guy an he showed up when it mattered. JB did his thing too but it’s kind of like a Kobe situation they would say anything to keep this man down and he still came out on top.
Perk trash
The media in general really don’t know anything
TBH analysts sometimes need to stop cuz Tatum called them out
After spending years defending the JT/JB duo against all the Celtics fans who said "break them up", I feel incredibly vindicated. I can only imagine how it feels for JT and JB to have proven all the doubters wrong.
They eat their words..ball is round..basketball is team sport..what now..celtic is a champion..best duo this year..
And Perkins did what?
Wait a minute he looked like a star? He has been a star with on of the biggest contracts ever. I'd rephrase ur words. Cuz he's been a superstar
My theory for why they lost game 4 is because they wanted to win it on home court. I mean why not have the ceremony and all the confetti on your own home court.
Tatum is champ end of discussion,
Stephen A. You know what that means right that’s all I have today🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️‼️
And here I thought Stephem A. Was a legit NBA pundit boy was I wrong...
@5:17 WRONG‼️JT didn’t “lead his team to a championship”. JB and JT BOTH did…and in that order.
Being a leader and being the teams best player aren’t necessarily the same thing. Jaylen himself called Tatum the leader.
