Saw this tour in Chicago January 16th, 1978, at the Chicago Stadium, it was my very first concert, second show of a two-night sold out stand. This is pretty much what it was like only much louder and didn't sound as tinny as the audio in this film footage. Still the best concert I ever saw...The current lineup could NEVER recreate the magic that these four guys did back in the 70s. Y'all can say what you want, but if you never saw the original four members on stage especially back in these days, then you've never seen Kiss.
I'm 60yrs old and a fan since 75 from 11yrs old and that is the exact truth.! The last lineup was nothing more than a tribute band.! This was the best Kiss right here.! Even the Reunion in 96 couldn't hold a candle to these years.! As bad as people say they were on the Dynasty Tour which was down a little bcos of years of non stop touring.! I'd take a Dynasy show over any of it after the makeup came off the first time.!
Dick Clark knew that this band was known for pyrotechnics--heavy use of pyrotechnics, so if Dick did not mention that they use fireworks - YOU WILL SEE THEM USE THE FIREWORKS! IT HAD BEEN A KISS TRADITION FOR OVER 40 YEARS!!!!!!
I know it hurts to watch. But it's not one of their expensive ones they play with. Probably a cheaply made one intentionally bought just for sake of smashing it. You can see earlier in the video when he's actually playing he uses his IceMan. Paul goes out back while Ace & co. finish the song, brings back another guitar for smashing.

This was from back in the day when kiss didn't suck.
...great version of Rock and Roll All Night.
Snowing in Cleveland!
Oh yeah!! Kiss rocks man...🤟❤
Ace Frehley , your licks were Kiss !
That's KISS
Crazy Beasts!
The start with Dick Clark is not from 1978. Smack bang in the middle of all that merchandise is a KISS cushion from their 1980 Australian tour.
Pretty sure it's a Prototype from late 77, early 78.
@@alanmooney3120 the fact they have 1978 on screen its probably a best of 70s show probably aired 1980
Wonder where that smashed guitar is and who got it ?

Man, the sound is terrible.. where is the bottom end?? Sounds like there playing through a shitty little transistor radio
Why break a perfectly good Guitar. Don't make sense.
