Kali Uchis is a 28-year-old Colombian-American singer-songwriter and record producer who is quickly becoming one of the most influential Latino voices of her generation. Born into a family from Pereira, Uchis has lived most of her life in the United States and has embraced her dual identity through her music. Her stage name is a tribute to the nickname her father gave her, “Karluchis”, when she was a child.
Uchis’ music is a unique blend of different genres and styles, ranging from Latin pop and R&B to neo-soul and reggaeton. Since her two studio albums, Isolation and Sin Miedo (Without Fear), Uchis has established herself as a major force in the Latin music scene.
