With the question of "I like this girl and she apparently likes me too, how to I approach the situation?" I would have also mentioned that BEFORE going to her, he asks his christian male friends/family AND if possible the Pastor or spiritual leader that knows them both for accountability, and then tell her, or as soon as he tells her to seek spiritual counsel BOTH of them to start walking the path of dating.

There is one scenario forgotten here: your spouse lied in court and divorced you (as is common), then got into a sexual relationship with someone else although not remarried. Scripturally are you bound to staying single or waiting until its over in the hope of remarrying them and trusting them again?
According to scripture, because your spouse has committed sexual immorality against your marriage, you are free from the spiritual bonding of that marriage.
Therefore making divorce spiritually legitimate
