  • A non-permanent, quick, easy router table built into an existing table saw. No need to add another machine taking up limited floor space! Just add and adapt what you got.
Nearly all machinery and tools you buy are designed and built for a specific purpose and a way to use them. But, what if you could design it your own way to fit your needs and how you want to use it at a fraction of the cost?
With a bit of thought, some leftover timber and a dash of spare time you too can create something like this to suit your own needs.
By the way, this is the link to the handy punch I mentioned. More than 8000 reviews on that too! amzn.to/3MtHaP4

Thanks John! I would have liked to have it more toward the middle away from the edge, but it works very well as is. The next thing I will work on is a fence with dust collection.

I would add another easy upgrade in form of a power switch to a outlet, so you don't have to reach down to switch your router on / off.
Did something similar to my work bench. I don't have space for a table saw, so my bench got a center piece that i can take out to put my circular saw and router in. Power switch on the front to switch the tool on / off. Both got an adapter for the shop vac, so dust isn't that much of a problem. Even in 'table mode'.

Great idea! I have been thinking about something similar. I always drop the blade below the surface so I can use it as an additional bench to work on. Having extra power outlets right there would be handy so it’s only one cable to run to the wall or another overhead boom… Thanks for the idea!

Thank you! It could work with a pair of hinges on the long side and two small triangle brackets that hinge on the short sides I reckon. That way they can fold inward and allow the top to basically fold down.
