I discovered a very simple way to pollinate my indoor tomatoes. Everyday or as new flowers appear I have been putting a little Bluetooth speaker up against the bottom of the stalks and play a couple tunes for each.
The vibrations have done an excellent job and so far I've had 100% of my flowers start turning into tomatoes after a day or two.

I'm getting fruit setting, still too early to determine percentage. I'm also thinking of putting a small fan on them for about 30 minutes, 3 times a day. Great tips on hand pollinating are tomatoes. I use the brush and q-tip a lot. So if I jam some loud Metallica it's actually good for my plants right.
On the other hand I heard that you not use a power toothbrush. I did not for a long time and my dentist urged me to do so and it has made a huge difference. Get a good oral b model. Mine has lasted 5 years and it's still going strong.

Cross pollination is a common topic in the home vegetable garden. Some folks never took a genetics class and have their own folk tales they love to pass on. Since bees are the key culprit causing cross pollination, how do stop bees from visiting different varieties? You don't and it does not matter unless you plan on harvesting seeds for the next season. Thus, there is usually no need to wash / disinfect your brush or other instrument used to hand pollinate. Happy gardening!
