I actually have a VHS tape that pared that Elmo's World episode about Fire Fighters with the 9/11 episode of Sesame Street (also combined with a bunch of fire safety skits the show made (and that Hero Guy OC Baby Bear made saving a kitten from a tree))
This video was so wild to watch. I didn't think I'd remember any of these episodes after such a long time, but the minute the creepy crawly centipede and the bug channel flashed onscreen, my brain just got absolutely flooded. If it was a butterfly close-up with no buzzing (as butterflies don't really buzz), then the titular SpongeBob episode would be watchable for me.

The Sleep episode should’ve been on the list. Because that episode scarred me for the rest of my life. So whenever it’s nighttime and the house is empty and dark, I still hear Elmo’s voice in my head telling me to go to sleep. And I don’t know why but it’s creepy man.

In this world, wouldn’t the wild animals essentially just be homeless people who have gone mad from being exposed to the elements for too long? After all, they don’t look too different from the regular characters.
