  • Finally no plastic bottles in the van anymore! Now we can drink the water directly from our kitchen tap.
We use an Alb Filter Fusion and a LP061 Whisper King Pump from Lilie. In this video I will show why this is the best set-up for a drinking water system, how this filter works and what in detail it filters out and, of course, how to install it in a van.

That Alb filter is nice. Good decision to put the supply tank in the middle of the van. Thanks for the great ideas!

Love the video. Ofcoarse the pump should not leak, but when it might leak a bit from the membrane, if goes in to the electric motor and that's the end of the pump. If possible, you might want to flip it the other way around.

Very well observed! You are totally right and the manual also advises that. But I couldn't figure out a proper way for the pipes from my tank on the right to the sink on the left without creating two loops, so I desided to take the risk of possibly ruining the pump one day... ;)

Awesome video! I installed the Alb Travel Fusion just like you in my Hymer, but I have a submersible pump (Reich PowerJet plus, 2.1bar, 25L/min) and I'm not really happy with the results, the water pressure is just not that great and it feels like the pump is working too hard. In fact I've already had to replace it once because it broke... So I'm thinking of also installing the Lilie pump just like you here. Question though: can the Lilie pump also be operated using the microswitches that I have in my current water taps? Or is it better do you think to forget about the microswitches, and use the Lilie pump with the integrated pressure switch? Thanks!

I would not use the microswitches. Just install a normal on/off switch, so you can deactivate the pump when you are not in the van. Having this avoids flooding your van in case of a broken pipe/connection.

@@CubeofCars Thanks for the reply. Yeah I also have a "master" on/off switch for the pump, but then additionally also microswitches in the taps. But since the Lilie pump uses a pressure switch I think best would be to just forget about the microswitches alltogether...
