Good job and great product....I had clear pipes in my old van ...boiled all the water .yet one time I had a drink of cold .....MAN was I ill .......When looking at the pipes the black stuff in them was a warning ....But do store water with sanitizer tablets in the tank over long time of no use ...

You’ve gotta love a bloke that knows his fixings 😋. I’ve had 3 UV purification units in 4 years all have packed up just out of warranty (not the brand your using though). UV is a great purification method but it does have some issues. Happy cup of tea.

Very nice video on the subject and certainly a great way of purifying your water.
Fwiw: If so equipped, I would still just keep the secondary tank and pump - you're continuously using fresh water inside the tank, pump and lines anyhow - the outside lines, pump, etc. get a wipe, whenever you fill the system.
If installing from scratch, the featured filter is a nice and sensible add-on - although I'd have nightmares with all the fitting adapters (too many potential leak sources).

I now what you are talking about with pure water has I use it for work but I use a 7 stage filtration system and the impurities do go up
My tap water is 265ppm impurities and I get mine down to 0 ppm impurities
Did you know that you can get a Handheld Digital TDS ( water purity ) Meter for under £20 Which you can test tap water and compare it to your pure water

Apart from the health advantages with this set-up, whilst Emma is filling the kettle she can also be cracking on with the bacon butties while it is filling, I personally can only see win win, you get out of bed and both are on the table in one go. I can see what you are up to Neil lol

@@UrbanVanlife I totally agree as I am a great sausage fan (keep it clean) with maybe a fried egg and a grated potato, onion and finely chopped bacon rosti which I am sure Emma could knock out before the kettle has filled and boiled, jump out of bed and BOOM lol
Something to watch for might be it running dry ( uv lights tend to burn hot when not having water passing around the bulb jacket ( if its anything like my pond and marine uv filters)) and also there will be a life span to the bulbs i don`t know how long they run for before needing to replaced or how easily they are replaced. Nice idea though and another interesting video.
I only use bottled water for drinking. My crafter water supply i keep for dishes and washing etc only. Stay safe 👍

looks like a nice little system although not exactly plug and play. my concern would be when it comes to winterising it, looks like a pain to properly do so its ready for the next camping season.
If you shoved one of they fibre optic phone camera leads.Down the hose . you would be shocked. English water is full of lime and chalk . when a stayed in surrey. Every kettle was coated with it

I dog sit my friends dog he has a sensitive tummy, I use a filter jug for myself and if I pour straight from the tap he turns his nose up, but if I give himself the filtered water from the jug he just about empties the bowl in one go

Another great video and good idea to save carrying extra water - i always end up taking half a dozen bottles of water for the coffee machine. Out of interest do you leave the power on to it permanently and if so any idea on the power consumption (in reality rather than spec)? Does the UV work continuously or just when running?

How long does the filter last before it has to be replaced? i would be interested in a filter like this for removing chlorine and heavy metals for filling aquariums
I don’t think they give a time to be honest but I’d personally change it every 6 months or may be even 4 . There also quite cheep as well . I seen them on eBay 4 of them for £22 which isn’t bad

I have always wondered about water test kits ? I think it would be a great pre safety option to test your water Before you fill your tanks and put less work on the filtration system thus getting more life out of it !?! Cheers & Peace :)

How do the manufacturer come up with 99%..99999⁹9999% percent clean. Why not 100 % clean.???mmmm or is just in case you get sick, and then they say well we never said it was 100% so you not got 100% clear water. You could be unlucky with 0 . 1 % unclean water ??? But the odds are good aren't they. Mmmmm p.s. have you used your revolving no plate yet????
The same as all cleaning company’s say kills 99% of germs . There can not be a 100% cos it’s not and never factual . Mainly cos there will be 1% of sonething that fails . But I’ll take 1% over 100% . And not used the plates yet as we not been to any shows
