This video was great! I had to build a portable sink for my clinic. This video was easy to follow and super helpful for our project. These types of sinks can get very expensive and having this area plumbed would have cost even more. This set-up could work anywhere like a shop or garage. Thank you for your help! Stay safe out there.
*thank you* for listing the parts and links to them! also for a concise, helpful vid. there are a lot on YT that..... well, let's say are less instructional and more a waste of time just watching a sped up build of whatever.
I wanted to thank you for this video. I followed your instructions and my simple water system in my ProMaster is Amazing. Video's like yours made my job so much clearer and easier. One thing I didn't do was use the Whale Gusher pump and now I'm regretting it. I got the traditional small circle black foot pump and it only pumps a few ounces at a time, and that's just not good enough if you're filling a pan or dog dish. I did a detailed video for my channel but I need to go back now and buy the Gusher and install that.
I've got the same foot pump & 3 - 5-gallon Jerrys, Been rocking my system for the last 2.5 years. As you have pointed out it is a very functional simple enough system. I don't figure I'll be changing mine any time soon. Pro Tip --- Using a Berky filter I also fabbed up a great custom water filtration system - Gold I say for more consistent morning coffee brews and perhaps fewer tummy issues...
@Terry B what about any 'foul smell' that comes out of the grey water tank? as has been noted the air gets compressed in the tank as it fills and the 'smell' ?? Thank you in advance.
@@michellefriend8848 The can is sealed well enough to prevent spillage or an appreciable amount of air to exchange to occur. There is some foul smell when I dump it ( I usually dump it every week or less) but I have never had any noticeable foul smell from the grey water can day in day out.. I also may not notice any smell as the doors or window or vents are usually open contributing to plenty of air exchange. Yes I would build the same system if I were to do it again.
This is exactly what I’ve been looking for! Thanks for providing all the links, too!!! Just subbed to your channel because I like the clarity you provide. I’m looking forward to watching and learning more from you!!!
Love your no nonsense approach.....always a good time when I see your video notifications, doesn’t matter the content....ur funny dude......like to see some stuff about cooking......I’m a retired chef and like to watch others interested in feeding themselves.....just bought the stuff to try your bread recipe......keep rockin it on bud....
I can't thank you enough for this video I appreciate it so much to give you a little background sir I am visually impaired and I have trouble seeing the other videos and Sometimes do not hear very well either and nothing against the other videos it's just that they were not as clear as yours and you have helped me so much I appreciate it the description and everything was just so clear and so understandable and I will be Subscribe to your channel I am looking forward to the creepy cabin and I will let you know once I get my automatic dispenser hooked up how it goes thank you you are so helpful and professional God-bless I hope you and your family have a wonderful year and years to come
Totally overwhelmed with all the details to a van build. this set up was exactly what we were looking for. more than that your description below for what to buy and where I followed exactly. Lets hope I can get it all together looking just as good. thank you so much
Great video this answered many of my questions and love how the links are in the description I'm going to either do this exact set up or something very similar
Wondering if you had any vacuum issues in your supply jerrycan? It looks like the one you use have an air ingress port, but some jerrycans don't. Would the quick connect system only work with a vented jug?
Thanks for the simple explanation! Home depot didn't have the tectile push-tc-connect adapter piece but I was able to find some plastic ones on Amazon.
I'm hoping to. However, we've been mostly off the grid for a while and it's been hard to find the internet access needed to upload videos. I do have some BASICS videos in the works though.
This video is great and super helpful! I'm building a van right now and plan on doing a similar system, but i was wondering if all the places you get water from are safe to drink, or do you have some type of water filter?
Just wondering if the pump “lever” is a tripping hazard? I just bought the same one and am thinking about how best to install it relative to my cabinet front. Thanks for the helpful info.
Did you attach your RV drain directly to the bottom of the sink? Do you recommend putting Teflon tape in between? I can’t seem to be able to find a washer that would work.
Is there something wrong with running your greywater directly out the bottom of the van? Seems like an effective space saver, not sure why I dont see it more often. Thanks!
Thanks for such a clear explanation! I copied your water system for my camper and love it. I’d like to add a water filter to my water system. Is there a filter/way of connecting the filter that you suggest?
O.k. I know this video was made a while ago. I like the way you look to do things, the kiss method.Keep it simple stupid, I'm not overly handy so I find the easiest way to do things. Believe it or not I feel like I've watched hundreds of videos preparing for my trips , I am currently doing my build out currently. I'm figuring out the best easiest way possible. My problem so far is not the build the problem is I've never actually went camping in a legal camp ground. I don't know about your state but getting permission in Florida is like pulling teeth. It's also bad I checked into national parks in Florida. I promised the wife I would make the first couple of trips within six hours from the house, before I head out west. Can't blame her we are not rich folks,so I'm doing all this in a cheap minivan I bought and am going to do a cheap no-build. ,build. The question I have which I feel like a moron asking but I know other who ran into it. How do you actually get started finding a place.everyone says you have to book in advance and plan everything out, I don't know what I'm doing this weekend what happens if you get itchy feet and just want to go. How do you get started staying in the wild, who wants to stay the night at Walmart. Thanks
There is easier way to get a plenty amount of water for any daily routine, but not for drinking. Dehumidifier will produce more than enough water for one's daily routine.
Hey there! What is the ¨straw¨ thing that you use in the fresh water tank to suck out the water? Is it the tube that comes with the water jug or something else? Thanks a bunch!
I am curious why you chose to use two different types of jugs and why the more expensive bpa free one is being used as the gray tank, other than color.
Please pardon the end of that message . It was suppose to say !! The water would only pump if i opened the salon sink hose. Not sure whats going on ? Thank you
Hi. I got myself foot pump just like this one, and plan to install it in my camper - but not sure how to fix it to the floor - seems it needs to be firmly attached to the base - how to secure it not to become loose?
This!!!! After all the waterpump and electrical videos ive seen, this is the simple water system ive been looking for! Thank you!
Doesn't get much better than this presentation of how to assemble a simple fresh water system fer yer mo-bile environment. THANK YOU.

The best water system in the whole world! Thanks for that
After watching many plumbing for your RV videos, this is the only one that made much sense. Thanks for leading me to the light.
Thank you so much… I did same setup but used garden quick disconnect with 1/2 inch hose line end for both sides.

@@ShellieSager Shellie - I would like to but unfortunately, I don't really post videos on my channel.

I did like your wood work in background, hope you posted info on them in ch.

So useful thank you. I swear this is the best video Ive seen on this type of water system. Again, thank you!!!
After viewing this I did the same but used an electric pump and it works great.
Can you please send a link for the electric pump?
This is exactly what I was looking for.
This is EXACTLY what I was thinking and looking for, subbed
Thank you..it’s the best system if seen so far. Thank you for sharing.

I like your installation; it gave me a lot of ideas on parts to use. tnx
I love this! Simple, effective and pretty much fail proof! You the man!
Thank you! I received my stainless quick connect yesterday and going to get the other parts for the Igloo pick-up tube today. Very helpful!
Not a bad little, mini water system. Thumbs up! *ding*
Thank you!!! Simple, that's what I was looking for.
Yeah, like the simple reliable uncluttered stuff.
Great presentation - quick and clear
Brilliant idea thank you for sharing just what we needed so simple
Great video smart set up. 😊
Very tidy setup. Probably will use your system because it is simple and easy. Subscribed to get more great ideas.
exceptional content SV Adventurer. I smashed that thumbs up on your video. Continue to keep up the outstanding work.
Great video this answered many of my questions and love how the links are in the description I'm going to either do this exact set up or something very similar
Thank you for the video. the system is great, can't wait to use it on our upcoming roadtrip to the PNW!
Thank for the video, any more coming up? Would love to know how the shower would work
Keep It Sweet and Simple. Well done.
Well done! I look forward to watching more

Another good video. Well thought out water system.
Great ! to the point. happy trails.

Good tips. Looking forward to your next video 👍🏼
This was absolutely what I was looking for thank you it’s perfect.
You're very welcome!
amazing! Do you also have a foot pumped shower? would be awesome!🎉
Thank you!
I like it. I wanted something simple... could this be plumbed into a tank under the van somehow?
Very impressive
Where are your other videos this one was great easy to follow.. what is the link?
very well said and videoed!
Thanks for the video!
Thanks for the simple explanation! Home depot didn't have the tectile push-tc-connect adapter piece but I was able to find some plastic ones on Amazon.
Glad I could help!
What is the title of your electrical video called for vanlife? Thanks for showing this!
Hi, great vid! One question, cant u just link the gray water to outside of the van? Or u use it for something else? Thanks!
Basic for the beginners like me, thank you
Thank you for this. U made this easy for someone like me. Are you going to add more to this BASIC Series?
I'm hoping to. However, we've been mostly off the grid for a while and it's been hard to find the internet access needed to upload videos. I do have some BASICS videos in the works though.
Excellent 👌🏽
Perfect solution, thanks!

What size drill bit did you use?
Great vid.
Thank you

Could you show wiring for your solar system
Good video.
I'm doing this exact setup and I'm curious what you did to prevent the water from freezing in the winter?
I agree. I need a system that I can purge daily. Winter travel in cold zones. Not going to leave the heater on. Tricky.
Thanks for the helpful info, great content. Subbed!!!!
Do the tanks build a suction? Is there a vent?
When you drilled the cap of the water containerto fit the quick connect and the sharkbite, what size drill bit did you use?
How did you connect the 1/2” fresh water hose to your faucet supply line?
Thank you u made it simple n easy. But what is the pint of that rv sink drain thing? I was planing to do straight pipe to my grey tank ! Is that work?
How do you drill out the plastic cap/connector? Did you drill or cut with a blade?
Can you please share where you got the spicket? Having trouble finding one without a shutoff handle. Great video. Thanks for sharing.

I have all the parts you indicated and have been working on my van. How did you go from 1/2 tubing to the faucets. They have different fittings..
Do yo get any residual smell from your gray water jug? P-trap not necessary? Thanks
Not as long as you empty the gray water frequently. Every couple of days does the trick.

Can you link the rv drained you purchased?
How does air flow into the jug after pumping water out?
Do you’ve part numbers and suppliers for all of the pex fittings?
Great!
Love the setup! Is that certain faucet the only option or are there other options/sizes that would work?
Thanks for posting ❤️😎
Thanks very informative
Is any sweating or condensation on water bottle tanks?

How do you attach that plex pipe to the fitting?

Can u drink the the water? And for how long is it fresh to drink if it’s distilled from the beginning?
