Dave Farina - Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2 by Liszt (Live at the Stamford Mall)

- When I was 14, my new teacher Mrs. Murphy had me come to the Stamford Mall to play some Gershwin and Joplin. A year later, with Liszt's famous rhapsody under my belt, she asked me to come back. I know I posted a better version of this from a recital, but I always get a kick out of this version too. There are so many people shopping that pass by wondering what the hell is going on, and they gradually accumulate until the end of the piece where there are many people looking on.
I love how the kid at 1:40 convinced the mom to stay.
Живко Яннкулоски hes 25 years old now maybe he remembers that day. (Maybe he is 25 years old i do not know.)
@@e3warzz832 certainly he's rn in his 20s this was filmed in the 90s
6:46 im gonna sleep
@@phillipcarlroberts4640 oh, were you actually there that day?
You're _still_ there? Do you work in the mall?
@@jc_boy4718 lol
bro, once in life we all wish we could play like this in public, in front of a lot of people lol
I can
I do it today
Practice makes perfect , anyone can do this with a few years of experience
@@PauliKallioniemi-nv6zs Vid or it didn't happen
I appreciate the 90s people that they know this masterpiece and enjoy it. I've seen many pianists performed this nowadays; either they didn't enjoy it or they interrupted by clapping before the Friska.
I didn't know professor was also an excellent pianist. What a pleasant surprise!
Professor Dave, impressing people since childhood! 🙂👍🏼 👏🏿👏👏🏻👏🏿👏👏🏽👏🏿👏🏽👏🏻
Dave is my role model. He is just an incredible person
my favorite Liszt's
and the most complicated one.
You're a dopeass scientist and a musician.
Try looking for his transcendental etudes if you think that's Liszt's hardest piece.
@@simpyoungyuk3885 will do. Can’t imagine how crazier Liszt got lol
How talented are you?
Dave: yes
A mulher querendo sair e o menininho como é um bom apreciador de música boa a fez desistir de ir e ficar pra ouvir essa bela apresentação. Adorei. Parabéns!
Kkkkkkkkkkk sim.
KUDOS man! That expression, that emotion in that hall with so many people watching...! Amazing!! Congrz
Holy shit, first you teach me how to deal intelligent design believers and now this?! I'm in my first year of college and taking piano lessons (with ~5 years of experience.) While I don't think I'll ever be at the Hungarian rhapsody level, this is truly inspiring
No cellphones, wonderful
Right? How dare people record it to maybe listen to it later or share it among friends? Everyone must live in the moment 100% and never ever record anything!
💀
Lmao it is recorded via cellphone
One of my fav classic songs that idk when I'll learn to play, hopefully sometime in the coming 10 years I'll find time :)
Professor Dave, you have some serious skills! This was absolutely beautiful to listen to! Just watched this after deciding to finally watch your "Ask Professor Dave" playlist. I've been a fan of yours for a while now, but never realised the extent of your talents. Bravo, sir!
Also, just out of curiosity, have you ever played Rachmaninoff's Rhapsody On a Theme of Paganini?
1:40 “Let’s go honey”
“But mom i want to see Jerry come out from that box”
Whoever is watching this, doesn’t realize he is also a fantastic teacher in math and the different sciences in his main channel professor Dave explains.
I wouldn't be in that group. I came _from_ his Professor Dave channel.
so good
Amazing👍👍👍👍
Amazing!
No phones…that’s the best
thsi gies me so much nostalgie with tom and jerry show
He knows a lot about piano stuff...
When was this recorded???
Without a doubt 90’s
3:28 The child goes crazy when her father doesn't let her :D
How many peoples on earth alive right now can play this song properly like he do?
Probably millions

@@masterdeere I've been subscribed to that channel for a couple years. I've seen that video multiple times. It doesn't change my statement at all.
@@masterdeere it's not the most difficult piece. 6-7 years of dedicated practice should be enough to learn that piece
@Deonex yes. That's what I meant. 6-7 years of experience. If I've been learning for 6 years, I'd be able to learn it
😍😍😍
Awesome tremolo at 2:10 !
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I was wondering when they'd dig up this old tape of Mayor Pete...
Um, what? I think you're a bit confused.

Ye
Fucking Dave not only knows the science stuff, but he could play Liszt's Hungarian Rhapsody no.2 at 15?????
Professor *Buckaroo Bonsai*
I don’t know, I think Bugs Bunny and Tom and Jerry do a pretty good job themselves!!!
