Dave Farina - Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2 by Liszt

This was probably my crowning achievement as a young pianist. I'm 15 here, probably early 1999. I had seen the film "Shine" about pianist David Helfgott just a couple years prior, and he plays this piece in the film. I was totally enamored with it and hoped to play it one day. It took about nine months to get it down, and this version is from one of Mrs. Murphy's recitals. I don't think this was my best performance of it, I think I hit it a little better at a competition, but I couldn't find that one. The Lassan is beautiful, moving, but then the Friska begins and all hell breaks loose.
