This was a treat for my family! Fantastic flavor. The olive oil works really well here. Instead of letting the liquid from the seafood evaporate, I used a slotted spoon to transfer the seafood to a covered dish, then poured the liquid into a bowl to use later. In the dry pan I sautéed just 1 seeded hot pepper and various sweet peppers. Transfered the peppers to the dish of seafood. Then I tossed some rice noodles into the pan that had been cooked al dente, along with some of the juice from the seafood. In a separate pan I seared some jumbo scallops with oil, then butter. Finally put all the parts back together in the pan and drizzled the top with the rest of the seafood juices and yummy bits from the scallops. This took a little longer than 5 min LOL but so worth it. This will definitely be a dish I'll make many times again.
This recipe will forever be special to me, because although I've made it probably 20 times, tonight my 6 year old made it as his first ever meal! He put on a special apron and enjoyed smashing lots of garlic and learning knife skills. His pediatrician suggested involving him in the meal prep to motivate him to eat better. Tonight it tasted extra delicious! Perfect recipe. 😊
I think I just learned how to tell when seafood is ready! THANK YOU so much. I kept anxiously overcooking it. I will do this water release and gone time from now on!
i don't usually follow videos like this, but this was a LOT of help, even if i lacked certain ingredients like the types of pepper used, it still came out great question thoguh, seafood mix comes in a bag that tends to have water in it, do i add that into the pan too or do i drain the seafood THEN add it i have drained it before but i am not sure if i am doing the wrong thing in doing that
This looks amazing! I am going to try tomorrow, however I am using frozen mixed seafood. That will make a big difference, yes? P.S. don't use sesame seed oil, just sprinkle sesame seeds on top 🤗 #freshfrozen
I have no doubt that it's delicious but why so much oil? 😮 I go to seafood for its low calories. I'll try to make it with max 1 tablespoon to see what happens. Thank you

No sodium, or seasoning?
it looks delicious but didn’t you add some salt?
Soya sauce already contains salt, which was enough for this recipe. 😊

How come no pepper? and if you would use pepper would you use white or black? Other than that sounds amazing going to try it tomorrow.

This was for 2 people
can you do this without sesame oil?
Yes you can but if you add too much it will have strong flavour, you might loose the chicken flavour then.
I have no doubt that it's delicious but why so much oil? 😮 I go to seafood for its low calories.
