Hi, commenting on a recent video hoping it'll help you see it. I just followed one of your beanie ones and it turned out nice, but it's big! I used the same size loom as everyone says for an adult hat but it's so big around. I used #6 blanket yarn because originally I tried size #4 and it was so small, the yarn holes were giant and it looked like a fishing net lol. So now (with large yarn) it's nice and cozy without holes but it's just so big. Any thoughts?
If you want it larger then 50 inches wide how many chains I need? Please let me know I want to make it for my granddaughter she is an adult and going to have a baby of her own? Thank you 🙏
I'm not sure the exact number, but what I would do is make a chain that is about the width you want your blanket to be, and then remember the border will add a few inches to either side. Then you can just crochet rows until it's the length you want. Good luck! (And congrats on the great-grandbaby!)
It's just whatever amount of chains you want to do, plus 2 for the initial turning chain. Since it's just half double crochet, it's pretty straight forward. 😊

The large loom does make a pretty good size hat- which brand loom did you use? I have a big head so I’m ok with the size, lol. 😂
