Cattle Decapitated's hilarious vocals
Decapitateds frog/didgeridoo bass tone AND
The fact that Muhammed Suiçmez from Necrophagist looks like either Bear Grylls or Bradley Cooper from the hang over... and I'm not sure which, hahahahaha!
It's important to note that Necrophagist has been going at it for a lot longer than most of these bands here. Live music is a science and the equipment and levels are really important in replicating production quality sound.
Ofcourse, music is a science, creating a song is talent,science and inspiration, knowing how to use your instruments and equipments and set your sound is a mountain of importance on its own, specially for live shows..so i see you agree with my point completely, the musical level of Necrophagist is unreached by other bands, as particularly shown on this festival. They know how to set their sound, and play their songs flawlessly. And i agree that most of the bands were new at the moment.

Undoubtedly Necrophagist was the best in the show, but I must add that Cattle Decapitation just nailed it! Awesome extreme vocals at it's best and the whole band did a gr8 job! So my vote goes for this 2 bands......... Hails!

The two Cattle Decapitation songs were some of their best live recordings I have heard. Also who refers to the country when they are doing a concert there? "Yo Canada what the fuck is up? How are you doing? Word. I kinda forgot there are places than the US."
actually now that i really listen i think the guitar players were off too. well, at least they're much better now than they were then. can't wait to see them on 8/22 in seattle!!!

After all these years, i still don't get how could Necrophagist sound so fuckin' tight, can't believe my ears/eyes (and this dvd also reveals the tragedy of opening for the headliner, and havin' a shitty tune).
The drummer of The Faceless was constantly raising the tempo, which caused some parts to sound unrehearsed. Good that Lyle Cooper is their drummer now.

It's nice how Necrophagist's section of the DVD contains more drum solo than actual Necrophagist. I love Minnemann, don't get me wrong, but a drum solo is not exactly what I want to see on the one really professional live recording of Necrophagist. They could have fit two more Necrophagist songs on there instead. Minnemann has his own DVDs, ffs.

necrophagist was amazing here, and although they were far better musicians than anybody else on the bill, I do believe it may have been edited slightly for the DVD. BUT since they were the headliners they clearly had a better soundcheck and equipment. you can tell every other band is using the same amps and drum set, which were clearly mic'd horribly and had no time to soundcheck.
