This truly was the GOAT Faceless lineup, other then Evan missing
I don't know about goat. I really liked Coopers drumming too and Steve's guitar playing was just as good as Michael and he was an OG.
switch in lyle and add Evan, and you are correct.
Facts
*Than - get your grammatics straight dude.
Who's the vocalist on this lineup? Hes the one I've been idealizing in growling range my entire life.
somehow we managed to convince the faceless to play my hometown before crossing back into the states... it was around 2013, this lineup, this setlist.... they played to a crowd of 6 or 7 people... unreal how good and how underrated the band is
the perfect lineup right there, i wonder if they'll ever find a vocalist like Geoffrey
and a drummer like Alex and a guitarist like Wes... This was the era were everything again was bright for them after the immense success and growth of the band when Planetary Duality hit. This line-up got them back on track after the break apart which all started around 2010...
At 15:53 Rudinger starts chattering with someone while playing a sick double bass part. This is professionalism right there!
holy shit
Alex Rudinger is probably the best hit-for-hit drummer. This is able to play a song exactly like it was recorded.
true, but something is missing live without Lyle...
@@elramboxer409 The funny thing is though, that Michael Keene actually wrote the entire drum parts using a drum machine, which makes him the real mastermind behind it, not to take away credit from either Lyle or Rudinger for being able to actually play it live, Keene was always a fantast when writing music.
alex is a beast!
This is the best new band I've heard in a while. Michael Keene's guitar playing is sick and his clean vocals add more to the guttural vocals.
So tight live. Saw them in Austin and was absolutely blown away. Rudinger is such a great fit for this band
GOAT line up indeed...this vocalist man waoo and Rudi just making it tastier
Wes Hauch is a beast. Never has a sour note! Glad he's in Black Crown Initiate!!!!
I love the fact that his solo blew Keens out of the water , starting at 10:16 , you can see the frustrating on Keens face as he doesnt nail the end of his solo, then Wes comes in and destroys his section, even points the crowd when he's down to almost say "fuck you keen, you aint all that". at least thats how it played out in my head while I was there watching live.
@@Skkitzzo86 lmao man you really reading deep into this
@@Skkitzzo86😂
@@Skkitzzo86Wes is so effortless
lmao @ 2:28 looks like the vocalist hits the cymbal.
XD
XDDDD
happens again at 4:59 lol
good catch lmao
i FUCKING LOVE THESE GUYS!!!!
This band is ridiculously talented. The first time I heard them was live at the Masquerade in Atl. Fucking blew my mind. Sic fucking music, great stage presence and performance. The band is flawless.

Thank you so much for uploading this!
2:52 - 2:56 Very nice, Mr. Rudinger. :)
9:44 - 10:54 Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! And I really don't care the missing harmonics on 10:19 - 10:21... ;P
Alex rudigner is easily one of the best metal drummers of all time. God damn. Never ceases to amaze me.
the singer is like the marynard james keenan (tool) of death metal! lol
Wes Hauch is such a fuckin badass
alex is killing it as usual
I watched them live two months ago and still can't forget how good they are live
Wow this is really good!!🤘Great live show!!
Genius
Raged so hard for ZenoChrist at this show! What a great set!
Michael and Wes are both such fucking beasts.
THE FACELESS - INCREDIBLE MUSIC! SALUTES FROM CHILE , BEERS UP!!!
Wes is so solid
never getting over this
Underrated, underrated, out of this world
THX!
Theyre all so fucking good live I dont know who to watch
just perfect
Like Fantomas at the second song, exellent drummer but,,, where is the bass?
Awesome! \m/
This band man, this lineup omg. 🤦🏻♂️ unbelievable.
The most tight lineup ever...my God, this was perfect and again, without Mr. keene's pinky finger...Not necessary!
LMAO Eddie at the end. "I get rock hard!" "...fuck I forgot the other word"
The little guy the pops up in the corner is too funny, just the way he stands lolol
10:19 Keene gets all butthurt because he messes up the end of his solo, then Wes comes in and absolutely nails his solo. I would feel bad for Keene but from everything you hear about his attitude its kinda great to see him not get the spotlight of the band from time to time.
Wes > Keene
I squeezed my eyes shut when he missed the harmonic, but the problem is that u right
Eh, Wes didn't nail it but I see what you mean. 10:48 Wes kind of dicks the butt on a part. Either way, small mistakes considering the rest of it was all great.
Damn Keene comes out with the Chris Broderick model Jackson on Ten Billion...that was the shit
The Faceless have been my favorite band since the 2007 Akeldama release and I still like them and fully support the directions they take but I do truly miss their original singer and Ryan "Demon Carcass" Rydquist.still getting used to their new sing but he seems like he if fitting in just great. Rock on the Faceless!
now that is how all fans should be
I don't like his gesture on stage :( otherwise I like him! I hope Alex will be able to write just as good drum parts as Lyle! I mean wow, he plays like a god, but can he also WRITE damn good drums?
My thoughts exactly. Wishmaster
I agree, his stage persona is too much for this music. The groove is pretty laid back while he looks like he'd rather trip around the whole stage.
And he seems to be forcing too much and is almost screaming his lungs out instead grunting on some parts.
I'm pretty sure Lyle Cooper got replaced on drums as well which sucks cause he was awesome. Brett Batdorf did drums on 7 of the 8 tracks on alkeldama and he kicked ass as well but Lyles drumming is better in my opinion.
Very tight.
15:57 it seems the drummer really enjoyed playing this!
Wes all day!!
great job on the sound quality! wish you could have filmed the Portland show I was at last night. I could barely see the band it was so packed in there.
Greatness
Thank you so much RHL ive been waiting for these guys to show up on your chanel. Speaking of that did you film anyone on the about that life tour?
Who cares for bass appearance. Best 3 songs to start a show!
18:52 keene is just like "omg wes, quit that right now!"
sooo good lol
am i alone in thinking that michaels vocals are just awesome as fuck ?
micheal looks so pissed all the time xD
+MultiHallo21 Not all the time. 10:21 - 10:27
+Tavin Hong hahahahaahahah
The dude's just concentrated. I have that face when I play stuff that takes some focus, too. Can't do anything about it.
Wes Hauch looks insane with a guitar hahaha!
7:40 A wild Baca appears!
It's the stache. Not only does he sound like Mikael, but now he also looks like him.
these guys are so fucking talented its nuts.
FUCKING AMAZING BAND theres millions of OVERRATED BANDs that can't even play like they should on a live show but The faceless does it and does it in a brutal way...!!!
Most of it... yeah. Stay tuned... we have some editing to do.
Recently gotten into listening to these dudes. Holy fuck, they're 10x better live than recorded. I love Geoffrey, I didn't know he wasn't on Planetary Duality until the other day. They should re-record at least XenoChrist with Geoffrey...hes so FUCKING BRUTAL live. Fantastic band.
For people that don't like Keens vocals, don't think of it like he's supposed to have some big, beautiful metalcore voice...think of it as his singing adding a haunting element. \m/
So fucking good.
2023.... neeeed new material😅soon a.f.
nice
Mikael Akerfeldt is now in The Faceless?
No.. he's still playing in a shitty band called... oasi.. opeth. just kidding
The most tight lineup ever...my God, this was perfect and again, without Me. keene's pinky finger...Not necessary!
Michael seems to lack confidence in his cleans. His band is pulling off an insane show, but I'm distracted by his faces of displeasure.
DUDE, just make it look like you know you're a fucking animal of a musician. I'm sure you know you're amazing. Make an effort to show it. It's the only thing bringing the show down (if you could even call it that, the show is amazing - DVD quality performance.). That's all dude. Really..
Amazing set by one of the best bands in recent memory.
is evan still in the band ?
The 4th is song is actually called ''Accelerated Evolution'' btw
lol they're both wearing the same Contortionist shirt. maybe because The Contortionist played that night too?
Rudinger.
RESPECT.
Fuck, Wes is so fucking badass lol, I wanna look like him playing guitar
Alex Rudinger is probably the best hit-for-hit drummer. This is able to play a song exactly like it was recorded. X2
Fuckin so talented. insane!
Did you also record Between The Buried And Me? I see their backdrop so they were probably headlining ;)
we got a couple of songs, then they told us no filming
Damn!
+Rock Hard Live Is there a reason for that? They're usually so cool with people snapping pictures (flash or not) and recording.
+HerrStoneman Your guess is good as mine. I was surprised too.
Did they have no warm up band or something? The crowd in the beggining is like O_o
Best progressive death metal band = FACELESS!!!!! \m/ (è_è) \m/
Geoff's vocals are fantastic. So or Michael's.
Wait is that Alex rudinger playing the drums? I thought that other guy played for the faceless? Can anyone give me an update
Brody Smith Thanks bro!
why don't play songs of Akeldama?
that double bass part at 10:51 :)
He's playing with Suicidal Tendencies for a few dates in Europe and couldn't make this tour, but he hasn't left the band.
24:48 🤘 🤘 🤘
I think it might also have been a bit cramped in there
What cam coder was used for this capture?
Canon XH a1s
They are fucking flawless ._.
i feel sorry for those 19 ppl who disliked because they have bad taste in music :(
A HUGE Thank You for uploading this~ Great Fucking Show \,,/ \,,/
Michael Keene is always so fucking shy with his voice on stage. has a crazy three finger technique though
Turn them kick triggers down a couple of db.
They aren't that bad during loud parts, but the sound guy probably wasn't extremely used to this band. It's pretty hard to have a mix that's going to work for every part with songs like these.
Turn up that snare!
34:52 "BITE THE APPLE PIE"
Where is Evan Brewer??
35:20
Yo del pasado
Where the bass track coming from?
the PA system.
LLAAAAAAME As much as I love this band, that's pretty lame.
where's evan? 0_o
without bass Still GG,Owning!
1:10 trrrryty 😃😃on the d.bassdrum 🤪
5:02 Michael Keene, the Pinkyless
During the solo at 10:14 he loses the harmonic and the look on his face is hilarious. In all fairness reproducing the harmonic in that solo reliably is unbelievable hard to do. I really wanted to see it pulled off in this video since it's one of my favorite parts :(
+Corpsecrank a little past 1014 but sooooo upset ahahaha
I noticed that too. It's a back to back harmonic. The first one he pulled off strong the second one was too weak for any sustain. You could tell he was very frustrated with himself 😆
Reacting like that though really makes one notice that a mistake was made.
DOYLE LaCRUA true, the thing is this crowd knows these songs. They're singing along with mike.
pretty good show, huh? pretty fucking good
What happened to their bassist?
