@@guitaristderekfuck yea same here dude, never knew how badass drop tuning could be till seeing the Coldly Calculated and Sons of Belial riffs. Fuck I miss this band so much
It took me 12 years to realize that this two part track was channeling some very Swedish writing and vocals with cozy guitar riffs very reminiscent of Opeth.
No love for the second guitarist? The guy played clean as fuck as well during their shows. Love how non-metal he looked. Such a tight live band this was.
Rodri Btz I meant this current line-up. A full line up change has occurred multiple times after Planetary Duality, not sure where they're up to atm. Internet is your friend.
Rodri Btz Lol isn't a stranger on the internet the source of anything that's misleading or trollful? I can think of so many ways to find it without asking. Check their Facebook, their label, the social media pages of the artists themselves, do a Google search for *bandname* "new song" ect.. Anyway, it's called The Spiraling Void.
The best lineup ever! Something about the energy between Keene, Rydquist, and (Steve) Jones just made these performances electric. They've never been the same since this lineup fell apart; I saw them in 2017 when they released "In Becoming a Ghost" (with Ken Sorceron on vocals!) and that energy was completely absent (although Bryce Butler did an incredible job on drums). The Zenith Passage is the closest band to capture this lightning in another bottle!
Saw these guys in Edmonton, easter weekend 2009. Changed. My. Life. Keeping it Extraterrestrial Keene! UFO's, Aliens, abductions. What more can you ask for in terms of album material from these guys. Keene clearly was a jazz kid. His chords and modes that he uses prove that he is a schooled well talented guy. This is metal. I can't wait to see you kick ass dudes again! Next album will be even more killer!
Thank you for taking me back to my merch table...... Actually WAIT!! ......... Thank you for honestly transporting me into an amazing state of mind where I can actually enjoy this show from my memory of being behind the merch table and/or going back and forth to the trailer. This honestly takes me literally back to the amazingness that I remember of Canada
Dammit... when i went and seen the faceless.. they were with In Flames and Between the Buried and Me.. Great show! but i hadnt heard the Faceless... So i didnt know any of their songs... THEY ARE BADASS!!! I guess there are worse ways to find a sick band... : )
You're one lucky guy ! I have only been to like 15 concerts in my life so not much, it is such a great experience every time to be able to see your idols perform your favorite songs in front of you :)
@WeveGotNoTimeToLose He's a really cool guy, regardless of how he "looks" on stage. Insanely laid back. Talked to him for a few hours after a show in chicago.
@fearxsanity I agree completely. All bands should practice moving around and headbanging while playing. Having an energetic crowd is a give and take situation. You give the crowd energy and they give it right back. Usually. I also love The Faceless but they could definitely be more active on stage.
@HeavyDeath13 Annunaki, Reptilians, Shape Shifters, it's all in the lyrics. From what I see, Prison Born is about the true origins of mankind as a slave for the Annunaki in our very distant past. That's what I see, whether it's what it's really about I don't know.
Steve Jones, Lyle Cooper, Derek, and a sober keene....the best OG line up there ever was.
The lineup behind an absolute monstrous entry into the tech death genre and what still is a classic album in the genre.
How dare you call Demon Carcass out of his name
Sobriety is gay it’s better when there all off something
@@ginosko_ are you off something?
@@ginosko_you're smoked bro.
And I'm not talking cigarettes or weed, but straight up shards and tar, fucking slow AF lmao
12 years later... and im still hung up on this album... i wish the faceless still sounded like this
Same. Still my favorite album ever, and I can't stop listening.
@@guitaristderek they really captured the vibe of "highly intelligent lovecraftian entities are invading"
@@markop.1994 Totally! I am attempting to learn the entirety of the album on guitar. Should have it learned by end of year..
@@guitaristderekfuck yea same here dude, never knew how badass drop tuning could be till seeing the Coldly Calculated and Sons of Belial riffs. Fuck I miss this band so much
Check out the zenith passage !
Steve was so clean. This old line up makes me nostalgic.
Steve , Lyle, Michael, Derek, Brandon
this is the only faceless I know.....
AtlasZero13 :')

my family
This video is insanely good for being 12 years old
It took me 12 years to realize that this two part track was channeling some very Swedish writing and vocals with cozy guitar riffs very reminiscent of Opeth.
Everyone: Loving it and head banging.
Lyle on Drums: I'm dying and being possessed.
legendary song. legendary band
OH MY GOD, THEIR OLD 2ND GUITARIST! THAT DUDE IS A FUCKING BEAST, BEST TONE EVER
Amazing tone, dude. Those palm mutes too D:
No love for the second guitarist? The guy played clean as fuck as well during their shows. Love how non-metal he looked. Such a tight live band this was.
+Jordy R They disbanded?

Rodri Btz Nevermind they just released a new song!
Awesome! What's the name of it, if you know? I prefer asking because sometimes internet is misleading and trollful

the back voices of keene are fucking awesome
yes they were...
They are absolutely flawless. It's good to see a band who can play extremely technical in the studio, and be able to prove it live.
2010 was a good year. Can i go back pls
I had no idea Keene did backup harsh vocals.

Am I the only one who like the backing riff beneath the solo in this song more than the solo. Such a sick riff.
Same! lol it's way more exciting
100%
Agreed.
I WAS JUST THINKING THE SAME FUCKING THING
the solo's more of a lead than a solo, it really sets the atmosphere, but the riff is still the meat of the song there
lyle's double bass is just O.O
the faceless is one of the most brilliant groups to spawn on earth
man...they used to be so good live.
Bow before the brilliance that is The Faceless!
The Riff! Of Planet Duality I is!!!! AMAZING!!
michael keene reminds me chuck schuldiner always... r.i.p.
Fucking FUCKING LYLE COOPER'S A BEAST
undeniably one of my favorite drummers of all time!

Amazing live performance.
Flawless
Michael keene says he prefers his shows FREEBASS just like his life lol jk \m/ love this
F Lmfao
lol
steve jones does some kind of crazy reverse headbanging...its like he goes down to up... instead of up to down...
they sounded super clean here insane!!
You, sir, just made my day. It has been a rather poor day, yet this still is an accomplishment.

truly madly looks and sounds like the legendary chuck ..
the drummer for this band is so relaxed. HOW????
satan
weed
Puppies
Because he is using good hand and feet techniques.
He wrote it so its what's natural to him.
OMG there so amazing, great video.
The sound is so good
@MontrealMetalShows Damn! You got some good videos on there! Thanks! Subscribed!
Well Evan Brewer, one of the most amazing bassists ever, recently joined the band.
the bassless
That original comment is literally 2 above yours you tool
Cannot be unseen x)
I saw these guys live last year and it was absolutely fucking epic! they did very very well, gotta love this band for what they do.
@MontrealMetalShows . Sweet nice filming. Thanks!
what a great fucken band wow respect man lot of respect
Planetary Dualitty Album, Burns My Soul & My Lifee!!
I saw this show in Austin. It was Suffocation with The Faceless and Fleshgod Apocalypse
Oh my god '0'
9:47 Keene looking to see what gives Suffocation’s cabs the audacity to make him mess up.
Wow, that crowd SIZZUCKS!! BAAAAD
@ArtFormTV LETS face it, just you and me. they are one of the best metal bands ever. one of the best sounding live videos ever.
Banda foda pra caralho, ate ao vivo o som e bom!
lol.. The Bassless. Love them.
Evan Brewer is their bassist, he's amazing!
Masterpiece
The music is the stage presence
sick job filming this!
looks like you have been to quite a lot of concerts :) thanks for filming !
the glory days
@likuidflaememan yeah their drummer Lyle Cooper is only like 22. Amazing band!
Dat live china. Dem live guitars. Dem live vocals. Dis live band.
You ARE a trooper.
the HD is so beautiful...
That vocalist is a monster..
great!!
Man, I want to see them live so much. Please come to barcelona
WTF... I just realized, did Lyle convert his 14" floor tom into a super deep snare??? It looks like a 14"x12" tom.
It's a 14x7 in this vid but they actually go as far as 14x8
OMFG .. maybe never dies that fucking band.. excelent
I can't believe he left! His drumming was insane.
@Marshallstack3203 it was actually a guy who called into a radio station, the broadcast was cut off. ALEINZ MAN
Yeah this vocalist was the best although the one touring with them does a hell of a job no joke. He's really good
fuck yeahhhhhhhh
You can never replace the Demon!
Nice!
Nice Tool homage with that intro.
temon
I'm pretty sure the crowds late reaction was because they were in awe I know id be.....they probably had no idea that instruments could do that lol
Hope you get off that dope, Keene Machine. Has so much talent. PLANETARY INTERCONNECTION!!!!
@Megollyen1 Thanx, new uploads every week if not everyday!
Lets sacrifice the Canadians for keeping people with previous DUIs out. Especially pivotal members of bands.
hell yea i feel the same.
THis Lyle... jesus... fucking pro player!!
this call was from somebody that called the george noory show and then days later called back and said he was joking
These guys are great, fuck all the haters man! By the way, of course demons exist. They're called human beings.
fucking awesomeness !!!
@WeveGotNoTimeToLose He's a really cool guy, regardless of how he "looks" on stage. Insanely laid back. Talked to him for a few hours after a show in chicago.
where is the bass player?
holy shit, they are good
i don't wanna sounds gay but i fucken love you guys
Its on their cd too, its an awesome intro.
They sound great, they play great, and they're one of my fav bands but the one thing they seem to be lacking in is stage presences.
did anyone else notice @ 2:50- 2:53 that move that Dereck pulled? one of those wave moves that Frank from suffocation always does!
funny shit
yeah man the lead guitar guy is over there sweating bullets while the rhythm guy is fucking chillin' just doin' his thang lol
I recognize that recording of the guy talking about area 51, really cool to use it in a concert intro I find.
The seemingly 15 year old on drums is AMAZING!!
One of the best guitarist I have ever seen that refuses to use his pinkie. Some of the stretches he pulls off look painful.
i saw them on this same tour w/ a bassist in utah. i heard he didn't have a passport though so he couldn't play the canada shows
@fearxsanity I agree completely. All bands should practice moving around and headbanging while playing. Having an energetic crowd is a give and take situation. You give the crowd energy and they give it right back. Usually. I also love The Faceless but they could definitely be more active on stage.
