Tip with Power Armor: Fusion Cores sell for the same amount regardless of if they're 1% charged or 100% charged, so if you really wanna scrape for caps, get out and swap cores right before you run out, then sell the empty ones.
Every Bethesda Fallout story is about finding your dad. Even when it's your son he's older than you and named Father. Get over it, dude. He's not coming back.
Power armour gives you so many buffs just for wearing it. limb damage immunity, falling damage immunity, stagger res, damage res, radiation res, can't drown, unique unarmed damage, no animation for stimpack use, a better pipboy hud, optionally brighter flashlight, a cool voice modulator, and a way to farm approval with some companions by just going in and out of it. Fun fact about hacking in Fallout, if you look for any matching closed brackets < >, ( ), { }, or [ ] and hover over the first one it'll highlight everything between the brackets, this is a secret code and it'll either reset your attempts or much more commonly it'll erase a dud code, and usually there'll be enough brackets to narrow your options down the the single working code. In FO4 and 76 where dancing between the game and the hack screen is near instant it might not seem a big deal, but in 3 and New Vegas where terminal startup takes a small eternity, it's a lifesaver.
Its the same in all Fallout games. Thats what youre supposed to be able to see more of as its linked to your Tech/science skills and directly intelligence. The higher those stats, the more codes will generate, taking out more duds before the last easy hack is done. Only one refresh of your tried is possible per atte.pted hack, amd its not always that you'll have a refresh attempts code in the mix at all.
It’s actually really easy to steal a suit of power armor right as you get out of the vault. If you run to the data towers to your right when you get out, there’s a random encounter with an atom cats member, whose fusion core you can steal. Once the core is out, he’ll quickly get out, then you can easily kill him and take the armor yourself.
you dont even need to kill him, you may holster your gun an run away, come later when he starts patrolling and steal the frame, they dont care about it
it feels good, but I wish there was more build variety, different sets with more obvious specializations and more perks for it. Nonetheless, being a big metal man does undeniably feel very good.
@@HazzorPlaysGamesWould've been cool to have some build-in weapons like lasers and missiles, sorta like Iron Man. But as it stands, the vanilla functionality is already cool by itself, especially once you get your hands on a jetpack...
Unlike most people, (I'm 100% the only one that does this, no cap) I have the most unreasonable collection of power armor sets all over the red rocket gas station, meleeing any power armor enemies so they will go out of their suit and give me another frame. Thanks to the next gen update, I now have 42+ power armors more to my collection, a sizable amount indeed.🧐
Now that I've seen it in quick succession, the main quest chain is really insane, isn't it? It's really only something a madman could have thought was believable.
They knew goddamn well how to stretch out the story lol; Danse is in the direct path from Sanctuary to DC, which introduced the BoS. You get to DC and you meet Piper, who's just a journalist and a pretty cool companion, and with the Affinity system, you wanna try to impress her by doing quests all around the city, which gives a ton of caps and lets you buy some new, amazing gear. By the time you're going for Valentine, you have 240 chems to fuck around with
@quinnlee-miller9792 don't forget Preston garvey. New players who played previous fallout games and know nothing about fallout 4 will think his quests end eventually. NOPE!
Melee run is *super* doable. There's a really fun build you can do. You do the deathclaw egg quest at the museum early to get the Deathclaw Gauntlet from the broodmother, upgrade it, then spec into the ability that lets you "dash" (teleport) in VATS with melee, along with pumping up your unarmed damage (which works with the claw). You can become an absolute killing machine that makes people explode. It's super fun.

@@HazzorPlaysGames Same here. I love testing build ideas. I usually don't end up finishing the game, but I have a blast trying different build playstyles.
One I was surprised by was laser-minigun / stealth hybrid style. Sure it wasn't the sneakiest weapon, but when you can attack 20 times before the enemy realizes you're there, it's actually very, very powerful.
If you invest in the Scrounger perk, you are able to find ammo a lot more, including up to 4 fusion cores each search, it's a very broken perk. Also, there was a sentry in the junkyard near the satellite array in the beginning that you could self destruct for two more cores and another on in a chest nearby

I’m loving the use of the new rimworld ost in the background of your recent uploads. A LOT of people love the track with the banjo and I must say I wholeheartedly agree that it’s a good track
as a short guy named Colin this video spoke to me on a weirdly personal level... 😅 loved watching a power-armor centered build with awesome editing and commentary!
The power armor at 5:16 is actually accessible through a gap between the ceiling and back wall if you have good timing. No hacking required, at least on Xbox.
Wow . I e played this game through 5 or 6 times and never saw half of what you did in this video excluding the required quests. Also don't think I ever even found 20 fusion cores while you were in double digits while always using the armor. That's awesome 👌 👏

I love the part where dogmeat is playing the, "im stuck game" then starts begging, and running for his life when he pulls out the grenade. Wait, i wonder what other training purposes live grenades can serve...
Little extra tip for that specific set of x-02 power armor, there’s a terminal behind it that would unlock a safe with a unique mod that’s very helpful
Fallout 4 is always such an enigma for me, i start to play then just collect quests but never actually do them, sit down and play for 4 hours and clear 2 locations, build a little at a settlement(usually sanctuary) and then try to do a quest only to get a couple more and rinse repeat
Some interesting pieces of info about the fallout franchise: 1) All the current fallout games take place before the show, with fallout 4 taking place only 9 - 10 years before the show started chronologically 2) Vaults 68 & 69 are experimental Vaults where the population is 999 to 1 in each, with 68 only have 1 woman while 69 only has 1 man
Since you’re newer to this game I’ll give you a small tip. There’s a small cave under the starting red rocket station. It’s behind the pay phones. There’s a fusion core in it
Preston Garvey's "Bro, I'm so bad, I'm halving the team every day, please be general, I suck at leading, please please pleeeease..." cracks me up every time, all those years later.
I am honestly just happy that like myself when I first played when this game came out, that you also died to the Beeping Mole Rat of Doom. On a side note, I only just recently found your channel and am loving the content :)
My last playthrough was with melee weapons with no power armour or stealth. It is a bit hard to get it going, but o boy when you get to about level 10. Just pop some chems and hi t things with a big hammer. I did get lucky and got some nice unique sword pretty early on (about level 15), so that made things very fun. After you max big league tho, you can almost 1 tap anything in the game (anything that I found that is). also you can always use Blitz later on with harder enemies (personally didn't like it because it made game a bit trivial) And now I will have to install Fallout again... But think Im gonna go with New Vegas so I don't lose days of my life rebuilding whole dam map again. Well this was a bit of a long rant. Great video 10/10.
At 3:50, there's an EXTREMELY easy-to-get power core in the basement of the "museum of freedom", where you just follow the slope down further into the damaged foundations, possibly pick a simple lock, and grab another fusion core from the reactor down there. The only other places that might have easier power cores are the "Sanctuary basement shelter" (it has a lot of early-game vauables, I just can't remember if that includes a power core) and the Red Rocket location where you're supposed to meet Dogmeat and fight a bunch of molersts (it might have a power core in an onsite reactor, or that might be another remote settlement with a lot of cars that I'm thinking of).
"if you want me to do some sort of melee only playthrough just say" My preferred playstyle is "all chems, no combat perks" you can have 1 chem of each addiction type running at a time so you can have Burbon, Bufftats, Fury, Jet Fuel or Ultra Jet, Med-X, Overdrive, Psychobuff running at the same time. You're looking at something like +12 strength, +12 endurance, +130hp and +100% damage. Dosage varies based on how difficult the fight is but at level 40 and max dosage I could 1 hit a behemoth and survives a mininuke to the chest (in power armour, which I only got out of to trade(you can trade a 1/100 fusion core for a fresh one for 80 caps with enough barter and charisma)). It was the only time I got immersed in a Bethesda game because I had a reason to interact with NPCs and was glad to see them. I'd get into town, hang up my power armour, have a beer, say hi to everyone and buy more drugs then have a nice nights sleep.
The institute being your desired location to fit in is even more apt considering the protagonist is a synth themselves, who are actually made in the institute so you do quite literally belong there technically
The fallout show definitely did entice me to revisit FO4 for about 30 hours and then NV for a full all dlc run. I feel your pain (melee is insanely broken in FO4, give her a go)
The bandits would be healthy because the harshness of the post-apocalyptic world would weed out the weak, ensuring that only those sufficiently *Humungus* would survive.
There seem to be multiple solution to the blurry vision bug. Entering and leaving a suit of power armor should help Some report diving under water helps If it is caused by building something in the workshop, taking that piece away again fixes it.
For future playthroughs and in case anyone new wants to know, you can get 9 easy fusion cores in the starting section of the game. Here's the list: 1. Red Rocket gas station mole rat den (where you find dogmeat) 2. Concord sewers (it's a bit hidden in a corner nearish to a dead raider) 3. Robotics disposal ground (in a military box) 4+5. Robotics disposal ground (self-destruct the sentry bot) 6. Federal ration stockpile (there's a fusion core holder behind a building with a turrett) 7. Federal ration stockpile (if you can make it to the power armor fast enough, you can nick the fusion core from it) 8. Lexington super duper mart 9. Last but not least, the always 50% fusion core found in the museum of freedom where preston is located 10+11. Any of the caged power armors you have to hack for shown in the early section of the video. Hope this helps anyone playing through the game.
For me the "Mercer Safehouse" was in the middle of a swamp with few areas of flat land and putting the teleport rig and all the power generators and other equipment was a really hard job.
Ah yes, a fellow Power Armor user. I'm currently level I think 54 and I have a extra set of Power Armor on me at all times, though I lack Aluminum to fix and upgrade a lot of my Power Armor. But in the beginning, funny story, I picked up absolutely everything I saw and I had about 11 thousand pounds all times and it took about a minute or two to leave places. And I did that for about maybe 2 days worth on my 5 or 4 day long save. It took forever to get anywhere and I didn't even have max strongback perk so I didn't fast travel everywhere. It was painful going anywhere, but I had a podcast, AmITheJerk and Diamond city radio going on in the background. So I had myself occupied. I also now have 15 fusion cores. So Yeah, I guess you can say I like Fallout 4.
Suggestions: Throwables only, you can only use throwable weapons Raider build, you can only use raider equipment and you have to be addicted to as many chems as possible Mechanic Maniac, you can only have robot followers and settlers and you have to be addicted to mentats the entire time
Radium rifle does radiation damage regardless if you have the perk or not. The perk just increases it. The kiloton Radium rifle with explosive bullets and the demolition perk is really OP
Even when i don't use power armor much, I always wind up with a LOT of PA suits for display at whichever settlement i choose to primarily operate out of.
Make sure to get the Scrapper perk as high as you can next time, extra guns are useful for selling but more modded out ones can be scrapped for sweet sweet Aluminum
Hey Hazzor, I don't know the state of the mods right now, but I know there was a huge project to add Fallout creatures and equipment to rimworld! I would love to see a Fallout themed playthrough

Little extra tip for that specific set of x-02 power armor, there’s a terminal behind it that would unlock a safe with a unique mod that’s very helpful
16:05 I knew I found a golden channel when I heard that Pick of Destiny reference.
Fallout 4 is always such an enigma for me, i start to play then just collect quests but never actually do them, sit down and play for 4 hours and clear 2 locations, build a little at a settlement(usually sanctuary) and then try to do a quest only to get a couple more and rinse repeat
Honestly they need to add a game where you can join the enclave cause I think it would be a nice addition to the fallout series
Some interesting pieces of info about the fallout franchise:
1) All the current fallout games take place before the show, with fallout 4 taking place only 9 - 10 years before the show started chronologically
2) Vaults 68 & 69 are experimental Vaults where the population is 999 to 1 in each, with 68 only have 1 woman while 69 only has 1 man
Since you’re newer to this game I’ll give you a small tip.
I'm very glad you enjoyed yourself playing this!
Great video 10/10.
a melee run sounds like a cool video
I demolish the toilet every morning after Taco Tuesday.
Playing fallout right now is EXTREMELY valid. I did the same for new vegas.
28:05 genuinely gives fallout 3 and new Vegas vibes
I love that some of my favorite creators are doing more fallout since the show. I’m the exact same, loving the show made me get back into the games
This here, is literally how I'm playing my current run... just with a little faster of a start, I'm always overburdened unless I'm in my power armor
The good thing about the railroad sidequests is that you're already ready to get ballistic weave.
The downside is, you can't apply it to power armor.
The fallout show definitely did entice me to revisit FO4 for about 30 hours and then NV for a full all dlc run. I feel your pain (melee is insanely broken in FO4, give her a go)
Fallout 4 has given me a lot of good memories. Watching you play it makes me want to pick up Factorio again
Editing seems great, shoutout to him and yourself for the ever entertaining content Hazzor!
The bandits would be healthy because the harshness of the post-apocalyptic world would weed out the weak, ensuring that only those sufficiently *Humungus* would survive.
The anomaly soundtrack is such a vibe. I’ve unironically been listening to it while working on multimillion dollar avionics equipment.
this was a fun lil watch, nice work Hazzor
There seem to be multiple solution to the blurry vision bug.
Entering and leaving a suit of power armor should help
Some report diving under water helps
If it is caused by building something in the workshop, taking that piece away again fixes it.
Yeah I tried everything on google and had zero success with any of them.
as someone who unconsciously hords all the power armor they can, it pained me watching you leave so much behind, even if I understand why you do
For future playthroughs and in case anyone new wants to know, you can get 9 easy fusion cores in the starting section of the game. Here's the list:
1. Red Rocket gas station mole rat den (where you find dogmeat)
2. Concord sewers (it's a bit hidden in a corner nearish to a dead raider)
3. Robotics disposal ground (in a military box)
4+5. Robotics disposal ground (self-destruct the sentry bot)
6. Federal ration stockpile (there's a fusion core holder behind a building with a turrett)
7. Federal ration stockpile (if you can make it to the power armor fast enough, you can nick the fusion core from it)
8. Lexington super duper mart
9. Last but not least, the always 50% fusion core found in the museum of freedom where preston is located
Cheeky Pick of Destiny reference earned a sub, a man of exquisite taste.
Hey, just in case the crashing persists, turning off weapon debris can help a ton. Unfortunately, it's broken even after the NG update.
Suggestions:
Throwables only, you can only use throwable weapons
Raider build, you can only use raider equipment and you have to be addicted to as many chems as possible
Mechanic Maniac, you can only have robot followers and settlers and you have to be addicted to mentats the entire time
“Hot demon gel” just become that reference, you have earned my sub.
a melee run would be sick. also, bonus points for the Tenacious D reference
I love the perk that reduces the amount of energy that your fusion core uses
Radium rifle does radiation damage regardless if you have the perk or not. The perk just increases it. The kiloton Radium rifle with explosive bullets and the demolition perk is really OP
i like that you didnt go for the armor in concord, i fully expected you to and im glad to see me dumdum
Lol. I dig this "life effecting" roleplay. Using technology to become a wasteland beast. I dig it.
I would watch an 8+ hour video of you just playing games and having fun. I'm not gonna lie.
2:35 Collin is a hermit crab lol
24:36 WOAH I PREDICTED THAT
Hey Hazzor, I don't know the state of the mods right now, but I know there was a huge project to add Fallout creatures and equipment to rimworld! I would love to see a Fallout themed playthrough
The feeling of using power armor for the first time is something amazing.
