That's experience on Pete's side. Guy has seen his words used against him too many times to let any info slide to the media like that. Can't blame him.
All Mike's answers are very cute and funny. The guy is actually very entertaining. But when the game is on he is all business. I like that. You the man coach.
Coach Macdonald taking accountability is huge. We have players and coaches trying to prove themselves, only good things can happen from here. Big things are going to happen for the hawks in the new few seasons.
This dude is so smart. Not just the x and o of the game, but his self-awareness to know better than watch the tape on the way home. Mature in countless ways. Psyched he's leading and building the culture there.
The only first year head coach in Seahawks history to start 2-0 Youngest head coach in NFL currently to start 2-0 New head coaches Harbaugh, and MacDonald in their first year with their teams are the only ones in the NFL to start 2-0 Macdonald = Coach Of The Year
I think (and please correct me if I'm wrong) that he's currently the only undefeated active head coach in the NFL? I thought Mike and Mayo were the only two until this past weekend. But yeah, even if I'm mistaken, Coach Mike should win Coach of the Year.
I love this: Mike is just getting started and will review all of the whys and hows to improve things. This means that the process will mature and evolve and we are just looking at the beginning. The new era of winning Seahawk ball is here!
Pete and McDonald’s have different styles of coaching. But I love the ownership and accountability they both have for themselves.Admitting that there are things they need to be better at.Thats leadership.
Man, that was a stressful one! Wins feel great, especially on the road. Team is resilient, Geno is on another level, OL is holding this offense back - imagine if Geno had more time back there and there were actual running lanes.
The team at 2-0 while learning a new offense AND defense with new coaching staff is a nice start. Imagine once the team masters the playbook, yeah buddy!!!!!!!!
The way the team finishes is a massive shoutout to Pete Carroll and his always compete mindset. Mcdonald inherits the residuals of what Pete was founded on. Shoutout Pete for that and Mcdonald carrying the tradition
The ludicrous Seattle media, and fans alike, act like Pete himself has left some kind of coaching legacy set in stone for MacDonald to follow, and adhere to. Mike has inherited nothing, he’s not carrying on any traditions from Pete, or is picking up where Pete left off. Pete deserves no credit for what Mike is doing whatsoever. None. Pete has absolutely zero connection, and influence to how MacDonald coaches. Mike is completely unaffiliated with Pete in all aspects, and has his own specific coaching philosophy.
He did mention utilizing Pete's "something or other", regarding traveling to the east coast for games.. i believe it was in regard to flying out on Friday to have a day to adjust..? It does suggest that Mike might be using portions of Pete's wisdom. But ultimately, yes totally guiding his own ship. @MacStackingDays
@@MacStackingWins the mindset that he programmed into the players for years that was engrained into the building doesn’t just walk out as soon as he does. This coach just KNOWS! You see how he explaned how the defense is suppose to rush the qb at the beginning of the video? Brilliant mind and brilliant explanation..
Exactly, the o line isn't good. I think Grubb got the game ball because he schemed up a lot of plays that kept Geno safe because frankly, this oline isn't great in run or pass protection
@@timgoble9870 He called a nice game, but any passing offense that wants to push the ball downfield requires OL to give QB time. OL got beat at times, but held up just enough to allow Geno to get the ball out, and he got it out quickly and accurately, he gets the game ball in my opinion. He showed a lot of poise under pressure.
I feel like Brock and Salk were kind of all over the place with these questions. They could have been more focused on pertinent questions of the game and the team.
So, all that Pete said about Geno for his last two years was correct. Macdonald just repeated what Pete said for two years. If it wasn't for a couple big mis tackles on D and those 5 drops, Seattle would have pulled away in the 3rd and 4th qtrs.
got to admit this man's brain is exactly what you want for a head coach on that side at least. Also sounds like he's a good motivator to. I hope him and Carrol have talked about how to grow this guys too. Mix some Carrol ideas in there wouldn't hurt.
Can Holani pass protect ? Charbonnet made a great block to give Geno time to throw to JSN. The reason Macintosh isn't getting playing time is his pass protection. Maybe they are worried about Holani also.
@@HansMcGruberseems like K9 doesn’t need perfect holes. You can’t deny that the run blocking was complete dog 💩 though. It’s simple though, if you’re going to run , put McIntosh in , if you need a run blocker, put Charbonet in . Use this to confuse defenses.
@@stevebailey8890 Yeah K9 averaged 5+ YPC behind the same OL - Albeit the Patriots front is better than Denver's. It's a mix of that and Charb doesn't seem to have the same vision and cutting ability as K9 - Charb IMO tends to run into guys vs. finding open turf and extra yards. @@stevebailey8890 Nah, last week K9 had some nice holes to run through, then he did his thing at the second level getting even more yards.
