The B-roll footage of water entering the field is from the saffron episode. I'm certainly not complaining, I love these types of programs. Just an a-ha moment as I watch the segments. Great show! I really enjoy these types of shows.
i am complaining. First, they reusing footage from other videos. Seconds, the videos is not even complete, We expect them to make a video from harwesting to retail not this 3 min video which is not much valuable.
...........and don't they know that if you put PVC irrigation pipes 2 FEET under ground you'll use a LOT LESS water because the water has to get down to the root system to begin with. The farther underground the water is (within a reasonable distance) the less evaporation there will be............?

+SugarAppleSweetVanelly that is incorrect, it does not need to be fermented at all. it just needs to be left to complete growing until it becomes brown and soft

Its just the sugars that are breaking when exposed to heat which fills the date in a sweet juice that is why eating a yellow one will not be bitter but just sorta of tastelessness like a unripened banana. Exposing it to the sun for a while till it turns a nice brown color is when you are suppose to eat it and I have tired one its very great!

I watched a clip of Chinese growing lettuce in a grow house from light and them saying it tastes the same as if it were grown in natural inviourment. they must be kidding themselves. it's still great that people have invented such things as these lights that we can eat all year around. never the same though.

Or to use a crane throughout the whole process making sure you have quality dates and no easily preventable worker deaths? I guess people using a combine are also stupid for not using a scythe to harvest by hand?
the ones sold in clusters means that they are fresh and wern't brought out of a freezer, usually they dry in a month like this the ones in boxes or cointainers are probably freeze stored

deglet noor dates are a little less sweet than medjool in my experience, that's the only types I've tried
