Despite the immense slowdown, this stunning recreation makes me sad how we didn’t get this course in the Booster Course Pass in Wave 6 where it could’ve looked like this. :(
Honestly the BCP was the main reson why I got into making Custom tracks in the first place, not to do what Nintendo didnt do, but more to do it to try to bring to life a track I loved back from the DS. Honestly im glad nintendo didnt bring back AF since making this was really fun, and I have something to really be proud of.
@@brunolike8631 Oh I have plans, lots of em, though I dont plan on doing ds bowser's castle, well at least for now. But the next track I'll release will probably either cheep cheep island or a track im making for a competition (gotta keep it secret.) As for beyond that it could be one of many wips i have, like piranha plant pipeline, a choco island remaster, daisy hills, a koopa beach remaster, or even a nitro track based on melty molten galaxy. I plan to put most of the tracks i and my team make into a bcp sized modpack. Thanks for the inquiry btw!
@@thecheezyfox8238 you're welcome! I've already seen what you've done with Cheep Cheep Island, and it looks very promissing! As for the Choco Island remake, I would love to see that track in a actual island setting, wich I haven't really seen people doing, so maybe you could change that? Anyways, keep up the good work!
@@brunolike8631 Actually I just did some big changes to cheep cheep island and probably will be posting a showcase video soon. And you read my mind with choco island.
I did make it drivable even if it doesnt make much sense, but you wouldnt really ever go on there other than to loom cool. Also the shadows have already been baked so flattening it would look pretty weird
I took the course from tour, yes, but I also added more decoration like the volcanoes in the background or cargo on top of the ship, even taking decor from other tour tracks. Also the reason why a lot of CTs have poor lighting is mainly because of how daunting it is to impliment the light bakes, and especially for a track like this where theres so many extra light sources such as torches and lava that slow down the baking process significantly. Even for me, when I was baking the lights, it'd take whole days to do one third of the process for one sections of the track, mainly due to the type of computer I have, and even then there's mistakes that can happen when the bake is finished. I even outsourced to another CT creator, Claudio, to help me with the rest of the bakes which took a whole day. It really paid off though.
I believe you mean the explosion object from 8's bowser's castle correct? I did try to impliment those before but the timing was all off. I don't know if MK8 works off of ticks or its in seconds. Itd require a lot of trial and error but I'll try to dabble into it again.
@@sailoralexisthesmalltankengine I still feel any spectators in the boiler room wouldn't fit, and also Polmo's version is their own version, and this is my own version. There really shouldn't be any comparison as the interpretations of the tracks are very different. I also consulted the Track Studio community about adding spectators there and we all agreed that they don't fit there, as logistically the room would be way too hot to stay there, and the bar would be a much more fitting area to spectate than right next to a boiler with fire in front of your face. As it is, there's already a lot of spectators in the track, and any more would be unnecessary, which is why I also decided to exclude spectators in the fortress. I apologize if any of this came off as rude, by the way, I truly mean no harm.
If y'all wanna speed the video up, go into playback speed and set it to 1.5x.

@@thecheezyfox8238 once you finish Airship, what are your plans? (I would love DS Bowser Castle...)

immaculate design, but jeez... performance issues much?
@@thecheezyfox8238 😈
@@thecheezyfox8238 And the track could be played normal in a switch or It would be laggy?
@@thecheezyfox8238oh great i cant wait to see it 100% complete in my opinion is gonna be the best mk8 custom track tbh!
You should make the railing after the starting line flat so you can ride on it.

Beautiful
This is So Epic!
So many CTs have such bad lighting but this looks amazing!! Did you rip the course from tour?

OMG JUST WOW:)
Guapisima
Oh wow impressive! Do you have access to the explosion gameobject to make the cannonball have more impact on their launch like I did with my CT?

Could you please add some of the speculators in the boiler area?
It wouldnt make sense tbh because... fire
@@thecheezyfox8238 Next to the boilers then? I’ve seen Polmo’s take on Airship Fortress and he added Hammer Bros. to the boiler area.
