What mods am I using? I'm using the OpenMW engine with their curated "I Heart Vanilla" modlist. It's mostly bugfixes and graphical enhancements.
I'm also using an animation mod for spellcasting. It adds a little more flair to the spells without changing the gameplay itself. www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/m...

why does attacking people as a werewolf make a comedy pants-ripping sounding
Death by Humiliation
Euripides pants you menda dese pants!
That's Morrowind sound effects for ya. Honestly adds to the charm
I imagine the INTENT was that it was supposed to be the sound of ripping flesh, but I 100% agree with you and think it just sounds hilarious! When I finally got around to playing Morrowind a year-ish ago, I had somehow convinced myself that the sound effect meant it was doing extra durability damage to my armor. 😂
The last time my cat tore my skin with her claws, it actually sounded like cutting through leather. I guess that's what they were going for?
"Do you think Hircine stays in the Hunting Grounds because he too is afraid of what he has created?"
-Sharkboy
He's out of line but he's right.
I do ...
Hircine be like: "I got a job for you, 621..."
XD that numbers funny as hell to me for 2 reasions.
@@lechking941unfortunate coincidence that From wasn’t aware of I’m sure
@@milktenders6219
*fortunate coincidence
@milktenders6219 keep living in ignorance, furries have infiltrated everything
No please not those numbers, please no.
Sharkboy Taylor Lautner! The wherewolf from the series that brought us 50 shades of "oh no". Critically acclaimed for his ability to actually change into a wherwolf on command, cutting CGI costs for production immensely.
Sharkboy being a Khajiit is highly appropriate.
Actually he is a Khajiit because Twilight is the time most favored by Azura, mother of the Khajiiti people and patron of the Nerevarine.
i thought it was a sharkboy and lavagirl reference
Wherewolf? There wolf. There castle.
Warwoof?
@@jackomecamorfo6060it is, he plays sharkboy
I have to imagine that a Khajiit seeing someone in leopard print underwear would be horrifying. Like, I ain't seen my aunt since she went into a skooma den with that Imperial, and now a drug-crazed madman is wearing a suspiciously familiar loin cloth...
"You'll make a fine rug, cat!"
I will refer you to "The Confessions of a Khajiit Fur Trader", found in the cave inside fort Dawnstar in Skyrim.
why would you make a cloth out of loins that's just weird
@@belcavendishny I can't tell if yer joking or not.....is I a stupid?
@@JackWendigo1234 poe's law strikes again lol
It's actually really cool how well animated the werewolf is in third person. I mean, for morrowind standards, but still
That "khajiit planet, monkeygirls on anime" tangent was fantastic.
This video had top-tier tangents all around
I was able to follow that train-of-thought with no problems. I'm not sure what that says about me, TBH.
In regards to the whole secret cave with a boat in it, its the tomb of an ancient Nordic warlord back from the days when the Nords ruled Morrowind (before Nerevar united the Houses to kick them out).
I played Daggerfall for awhile (in the distant past) as a fashion quest looking for all of the armor pieces discussed in books. I had completely missed the main quest for so long that I ended up overleveled. At one point I went into a town and someone shouted "You are my nemesis!" (old memory, might not be a directy quote) and I ran like hell as he's chasing me. Catches up, I turn in a panic and swing, and he falls right over. Woops. Spent way too long getting exp in those side quests. Really wanted pretty dwarven gold armor. And cat suits. And dresses. You know. I had all of the random assembled dungeon path chunks memorized. Maybe a teeny bit too much playing it back then.
That's pretty awesome! I can't say I've ever played Daggerfall much past the tutorial dungeon, as i was having trouble getting it to run correctly back then. But I remember when I was younger and playing Morrowind, I also was trying to collect as many cool armor/clothing stuff I could. I searched forever to find all the Daedric Face's artifacts. It took me so long because I wanted to find as much as I could without any location guides, just good ol' exploring "And it helped the first face I found was the Face of God" my friend had told me about around the area to look but not how to get to it, needless to say I spent hours before thinking to levitate to see if anything was hidden. Good times, I probably couldn't even find it again right now If I tried. I just know southern-ish part of the map in a tomb, and you need to levitate to find it.
I really need to actually try and get around to playing Daggerfall someday, I've heard it can be pretty broken. haha
50 Shades of Gray started life as a fanfiction about the series where Sharkboy and Batman fight over Snow White
Back in service to the fur daddy? its ok, happens to the best of us.
Edit: Bal Ur, a daedra shrine to Molag Bal, a place that will be familiar to anyone trying to cure vampirism, has a guaranteed Golden Saint spawn location for you to farm the Daedric Tower Shield. Remember to drop a save outside the shrine and NOT outside the inner door, or the Saint don't reset.
i've always loved seeing the werewolves in morrowind. they're chalked up to be this menacing creatures of bloodlust and destruction, so when I saw one for the first time while going around Solstheim at night I couldn't bring myself to kill it because i just found it so adorable and goofy.
"It's not stealing if they're dead... it's archeology"
I swear you've made this joke before (or it's the head stopping working correctly), but it will always be fun.
Just Background Howls
"Sometimes you just gotta let the zoomies out" My dude, I don't think you realize the breadth of truth within that statement
Come for the Morrowind content, stay for the slightly unhinged ramblings
0:35 is it just me or is he caked 👀
either caked up or he's in desperate need of a change of loincloth
Either he's caked up or caked with...
Even the numidium couldn't pull me out...
I really like the alternate "final quest" based on the premise, it reminds me how I used to play Morrowind as a kid with all of these side-objectives and made-up goals that kept me entertained for many summers. More please!
Also, cats with wings? Now that's something I've never seen.
Mamaea is quite interesting.
The cave walls are meant to be made out of sheer bone (though I love the sand comparison) - which makes you wonder how the hell that happened. Are these bone shards of Lorkhan, buried and forgotten and burrowed into by the Sixth House for some ritual purpose? Were these bone structures magically created by the Sixth House in some bizarre experiments? Perhaps the bone is being excavated for use as the skeleton in the construction of Akulakhan. The exact same texture is used for the giant ribs surrounding the Heart in Akhulakhan's chamber, after all.
I always assume Akulakhan was "harvested" from Corprus monsters. Rather than turning Dwarves into Numidium's divine skin, Dagoth Ur was turning divine flesh into Akulakhan's mundane skin. Pure speculation, though.
I love when you give random animal facts :)
All these videos really make me wanna go back and play this.
Don't make fun of furries, because most of them are in IT and we can't live without those guys.
Are you saying that all of the indian guys that I know doing that job are furries?
I know multiple decently high level SWE at Google who are furries lol
@@Morbius2271 no wonder Google is shitty company
I mean I had a friend who made fun of a bunch of furries at comic con and they kidnapped her. Which her extremely mutilated corpse was found months after
No, no, make fun of them anyway. They're obviously masochists anyway, nobody takes that kind of abuse without liking it.
I love all the weird places morrowind has hidden around that are completely missable unless you wander into a random cave for no reaon, or happen to talk to the right random NPC in some town you usually have no reason to even visit.
I did a playthrough of the game once here I tried to do as many of the quests as possible with one character -- so all the main plot, any of the faction questss that aren't incompatible with each other, all the random side quests, etc. etc.
It took ages to actually do, but, it's a big part off me falling in love with the game; there is just so much of it that I had never seen in any previous run of the game.
the one daedric ruin that is accessed from a Ibar-dad that has Eleidon's Ward and some cursed daggers that summon ghosts.
i was like huh, when I first stumbled upon it
30:50 Her name is Maggie, and she is doing releatively well for herself. Shes working as a cardiac nurse and is aware of her meme status.
"Monkey girl anime" now that's a genre I'd watch lol!
Awesome video, so good to have more!
I mean, i can think of one
Isn't that fruit of grisia or something like that? I remember the gorilla girls driving people banannas
I like the quest about dressing the body. I didn’t know just how rare daedric armour was in morrowind! I grew up with oblivion and daedric armour wasn’t that rare. I think that’s cool that it’s rarer in morrowind. It makes it more special
True JBN geezers remember the original thumbnail
The new task caught me off guard, fooled me for a few seconds too
18:11 HUH?! Now I was not expecting bats to be so dominant but damn
7:40 I can safely say that the FIRST people who should have a problem with furries is furries.
you are not wrong.
Amen
I am in the fandom, and let me tell you. The bad reputation is entirely earned thanks to certain elements, and the larger fandoms willingness to tolerate them.
*Insert Simpsons meme* Darn Furries, they ruined Furrydom.
Jabo, Joov, AND JBN posts all in the same day???? The stars have aligned!
Like, I want to skip your videos to go and check the other 38 in my queue every day, but your delivery and direction are just so fucking perfect that I can't.
Props your editor, JBN.
Thanks. I'll let my editor know (the editor is me).
@@JustBackgroundNoise I didn't wish to presume. Anything cinematic you ever want to make, I'm totally down to watch.
I'm so happy when you upload a new videos. They're all so relaxing. Here's to many more, though I don't know how many more things you can make videos about in Morrowind.
2:32 We will not forget the Red Sun over paradise
Sharkboy -> actor -> werewolf in Twilight
Hell yeah, I've been waiting for this one since the vampire vid! 😄
"I'm a dog - I've got more than enough wind" 😂
Honestly, being a werewolf in TES sounds really appealing, you're fast and strong and a dog.
I'd sign up.
Aww the gesture of favour thing at the end made me smile
It may seemed contrived, but imagining what your patron deities would want, and acting on that impulse is how I got three thousand hours and counting out of Skyrim. Boethiah calls for a province wide test of strength.
The tangents and tiny animations and such this time were on point, thanks for making this.. shows your love for the setting and the game itself
I can't thank you enough for your videos. Your humor is so welcomed and funny, and I love the commentary you have to share on this incredible game. I've been going through a lot, and it's nice to listen to and watch your videos while I cook for my family or just sit in the dark. Thank you.
Love that we randomly went on a hunt for the Daedric armor set. :>
Wasn't expecting an island of doctor moreau reference in a morrowind challenge run
Those nap time cutscenes really are Doom-esque.
This is a nice change from the previous runs where you had to be more careful and discreet about your journey.
"A flying werewolf?!"
"No. Jump good! :)"
Absolute special treat on a wee quiet day
"Awoo, etc." was such a fantastic thumbnail that I had to check the video. The video did not disappoint and now I'm subscribed (which is unusual, as I normally watch at least three videos before subscribing, but it's clear this channel has quality content and I'm here for it).
The trolldier tangent was beautiful, respect to you
the law and order joke was chuckle-worthy, thank you
20:15 And you have the Dragon Breaks which are rather crazy things. The Battle of Red Mountain might have been one from the activation of the Numidium. Then there's just all of the endings of Daggerfall happening with The Warp of the West.
wow, that impression of hircine was so good i didn't even know it was you until you pointed it out. and even still at the end of the video i thought it was real until i saw the dog bone lol
"...bigoted against bloodthirsty abominations spawned from the loins of a deer headed Daedric prince..."
Oh, just like my dad.
I didn't imagine Morrowind had put in so much cool adventure quests to do as a werewolf, now I feel inspired to finally play it all the way through. This was fun to watch, you're a nice personality.
bro that law and order "thump thump" bit KILLED ME xD
Not even a "IS IT POSSIBLE" in the title just "hey guys this is the werewolf run." Power move.
I appreciate that you can make fun of groups without being an actual dick about it. I feel like a lot of RUclipsrs don't get that you can poke fun and still be kind.
More Morrowind!! I never plsyed it but I've binge watched ALL your Morrowind videos SEVERAL TIMES AND I NEED MORE!! MORE MORROWIND!!
Mushrooms are actually remarkably easy to cook with since their unique cellular structure means it's virtually impossible to ever overcook them. And looking beyond just supermarket mushrooms you'll find that they have a vast array of different flavors, not just "dirt". Seared Morel tastes like bacon, Shaggy Inkcap tastes like butter, forgot the name but there's a yellow one that tastes like liquorice or anise, etc., etc.
You’re making amazing videos, but don’t burn yourself out man, you seem to be getting one out what feels like every other day.
17:31
...now hold on.
Was that a Samurai frieaking Jack REFERENCE??
Well played sir.
I bow to thee.
the boat underground was a nordic burial if i recall. there's a few instances of these from the old claims and war sites from nordic occupants in old resdayn
I love that intro so much I've been replaying it several times daily
I found you 2 days ago. And holy moly have you got everything that a professional needs.
Your videos are amazing. I just wish there was a backlog of like 50 episodes of different Morrowind play through/ challenge etc.
Thank you for taking care of what is the game that got me in to gaming and unfortunately that I never finished.
You are simply amazing.
More videos please 💖
Best wishes
Im so glad RUclips has recommended me your first Morrowind video when it first came out. Every single one has been a banger! Keep up the great work :)
Awarewolf? I think he's a bit oblivious.
24:00 This is Morrowind so that is more like a 60 pound mace.
I learn something new about a game I thought I already knew a lot about every time I watch one of your videos. I enjoyed this video.
I patiently await for each of these morrowind vids to release.
Amazing how the werewolf animations are probably the basis of how werewolves move in Skyrim and Deathclaws in Fallout
Thanks to you I'm playing morrowind again and om having a blast playing it! Keep up the food vids I love them!
youre one of my favorite youtubers
i feel your channel is about to explode in popularity
can you beat morrowind as a wereshark?
Really cool to see your editing skills increase with each video, love your stuff!
I legitimately look forward to each upload keep it coming
I love these videos, I notice how you always go with the fun and fair option, over the broken and unfair, you should do a run where you min-max as much as possible and become an unstoppable god and go on a rampage or spawn in an army that you take on solo.
My problem with Skyrim's dungeon design was that after a certain point, pretty early on even, it became totally pointless to explore them. You can craft and enchant better gear than you can find in Skyrim, even better than some of the unique pieces, which I don't think you can do as readily in Morrowind. Sure, the alchemy system is busted and that could lead to things, but without exploits, it's really easy to max out smithing and enchanting in Skyrim, and feels almost mandatory in some ways to keep up with late game enemies. Morrowind? Random crap you find in a chest in a dungeon only 10 people have even heard of will let you power through most of the game. It's an issue I had more with Skyrim's scaling than with its dungeon design. Why would I explore a cave that's basically a straight line with a shortcut for loot I don't even need anymore? Morrowind there was always the chance of a cave having some wild secret or unique enchanted item. Or maybe even nothing at all and being a total waste of time. Skyrim averaged things out, but I've always preferred a game having pits and peaks than rolling hills.
23:30 the build up to that kaghouti mace joke... why did that get me so hard
Quickly becoming one of my favourite YT channels 💪🏻
I really enjoyed the self-made quest. Good boy!
Your edits and skits are awesome!
10:30 is it just me or was that sneaking out of a full on comedy 😂
all your videos have some wholesome moments in them among the chaos and i think that's what i love best. i'm so glad i subbed to you, easily one of my top fav bethesda youtubers (also runescape?? like bruh yes??)
It's not stealing, it's archeology is hilarious
Honestly I fucking love Morrowinds cutscenes, theyre so atmospheric!
man i love these video, great work man
I love the random animal facts lol, really tickles my tism.
I was JUST thinking about how funny it would be if you could use your claw as a lockpick in werewolf form right before you mentioned it. I remember seeing an old movie where a beast used its claw to unlock the door, but I can't remember what movie it was.
You accidentally wrote the beginning of the Silt Strider Sonata with that Satie piano piece! What a great way to start the video. That silt strider can sing.
another masterpiece of a video, especially the doom edit
Another fire video as always
I found the helm of god by accident back on the old xbox. I was exploring and found it. I was so happy. Promptly lost the location and took another year to find it again. Had dial-up at the time and any internet activity was an exercise in futility.
Dude the production on this video is awesome. I’ve tried making similar videos and your editing and commentary skills are top notch
Insanely good vid, i had my heartbeat rise when u were talking about tf2, but that is just me being both fan of ur work and tf2
Funny, was working out the same concept for a video - gathering one of every bit of Daedric in Morrowind. You did it far more creatively, though! Nice job. :D
man your channel is a gold mine
I thoroughly enjoyed the machnima at the start. Will watch the rest later.
For some reason my cat watched entire episode with such interest, that now I'm fear that she is a werewolf too
i for one dig your lore pontifications
Having never played Morrowind, watching your videos feel like I'm disassociating super hard because half the time it's you just saying the names of characters or locations and it sounds like you're speaking in tongues. Love the Dunmer language
8:05 i had to tab back over to re-listen to that.
