This AutoCAD tutorial series is all about creating a complete 3D house in AutoCAD for civil engineering as well as for architecture students in easiest of steps. You can download autocad 2024, autocad 2023, autocad 2022 or autocad 2021 from autodesk with student license. AutoCAD is a free software for students & trainers for 1 year. To use AutoCAD for free you must have an AUTODESK STUDENT account.
You can download the DWG file and the 2d plan for reference. Link provided below. This video tutorial in particular is about creating the 2D plan in AutoCAD. We’ll start the drawing by setting the units, insertion scale in this drawing will be inches. Then we’ll modify the dimension style manager. Then we’ll create the floor plan and then the door cut-outs. After that we’ll create the doors, windows, ventilators and the grills by using different layers and then we’ll add the texts and the dimensions and finally we’ll add the blocks from the design center and create the staircase.

What is this autocad imperial and metric , I'm unable to draw inch dimensions in the drawing while I draw in metric autocad 3D, I'm allowed to draw only 24' but not 24'6". Can some one please address the query.
Set the unit type to architectural or engineering and insertion scale to inches, then open the dimension style manager and change the unit formats as in units, then work
Imperial format is used in case of feet and inches, and metric is used in case of m, mm, cm, km etc
When I try to extrude in the downward direction,it goes in the upward direction why...?

First 3 rectangles width is 11' 9' 15' and spacing of 6" which is 1'. All together the length of 3 blocks is 36'.
Whereas next 3 rectangles width is 6' 7' 11' which is 25'6".
Now my question is how come block no 6 and 1 have spacing of 6" it suppose to be 10'6" as per the dimensions. Any genius 👆🏻

@@CADDMANIAC some of the your using are not at all working for example :increasing text size to 9'' but it always showing 3'' to me not at all changing .
And dimensions lines also not at all working when I enter feet and inches the rectangle is not displaying properly.
